Berserk God of War

Chapter 764: Chapter 764: Spirit Martial, Emperor Martial, and Holy Martial

Sikong Ling nodded, then dripped a drop of blood onto the unopened envelope just like Sikong Jing, but there was also no response with them either. The two of them exchanged glances once more, their eyes full of confusion.

Of course, Sikong Jing’s mood was slightly better after all, at least it proved that they were indeed his own flesh and blood.

No longer dwelling on it, Sikong Jing spoke softly, ”Let’s open this letter first. Mother and Father should have some explanations inside.”

As he spoke, he began to open the envelope, and a piece of letter paper fell into his hand.

At that moment, Sikong Jing’s hands were trembling slightly.

His parents had left them more than ten years ago. What kind of information could be inside, and what he feared the most was... bad news!

He prayed silently in his heart, hoping desperately it was not bad news, not their will!

Eventually, he unfolded the letter. Sikong Jing’s whole body shuddered slightly as the handwriting that came into view was unmistakably his father’s.

”Ajing, Ling’er...”

”If you have discovered this Spirit Origin Small Secret Realm, it proves that you have both embraced the path of Martial Arts and reached the Martial Battle Stage.”

These were the first two lines. It appeared that reaching the Martial Battle Stage was necessary to activate the Spirit Origin Small Secret Realm, and both of the siblings were now at the first realm of the Martial Battle Stage, the Extraordinary Realm.

After exchanging glances quietly, they continued to read with rapid breaths...

”If in such a small place, you have both reached the Martial Battle Stage, it means that fate is relentless.”

”Since that’s the case, your father and mother can no longer prevent you from pursuing the path of Martial Arts. However, our enemies are too fearsome; we cannot leave you any Cultivation Technique or Martial Skill, lest you attract their attention.”

”You must find a way to become stronger on your own; only then will we have a chance to meet again.”

The pupils of the siblings dilated drastically, their eyes reflecting immense joy. There was no bad news and it wasn’t a will.

Father said, there was still a chance to meet again!

And mentioning their formidable enemy, it was clear that their parents had to leave out of necessity, to protect him and his sister from being targeted.

They continued reading...

Below that line, suddenly a drop of water appeared, and then the handwriting changed to their mother’s elegant script.

”Ajing, Ling’er, I’m sorry.”

That was their mother’s first line, the water stain clearly a tear from her.

At that moment, the siblings both choked up.

”Your mother and father didn’t mean to deceive you when we left; you were both just too young. We were afraid you would wander in search of us and be bullied by bad people. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

”Ajing, you have always been sensible; you must take good care of Ling’er.”

”Ling’er has always been somewhat frail from childhood; make sure she eats more.”

”Also, you must not learn to behave badly, do you understand? Your parents cannot be by your side, but you must remember what we have told you: be upright, do not dishonor the integrity of heaven and earth.”

What followed were a lot of caring words with no critical content.

However, the siblings kept gazing at them with red-rimmed eyes, scrutinizing every single word, reading each word over and over again.

Finally, it changed back to their father’s handwriting...

”Your mother really does nag so much. You both have reached the Martial Battle Stage by the time you read this letter, why bring up all this?”

”Really...”

”In any case, your parents are both very formidable people. The Martial Battle Stage is far from catching up to us, so you both must become stronger. Ling’er’s strength is another matter, but Ajing, as the elder brother, you cannot be weak!”

”You must be as strong as your father to marry a woman as nagging as your mother,”

”After the Martial Combat Stage comes the Spirit Martial Stage, then the Emperor Martial Stage, and finally the Holy Martial Stage. Your father and mother are both grandmasters of the Holy Martial Stage, so you must open the second letter only when you reach the Spirit Martial Stage.”

”At that time, you will come to know more specific things... That’s all for now, I won’t go on any longer.”

”Remember, Ajing, if you dare not protect your sister well, I will definitely beat you until your butt blooms, if you dare do evil, I will have your limbs chopped off, if...”

At this point, the handwriting changed again, this time to that of their mother’s.

”Your father calls me nagging, but isn’t he the one who continues without stop, repeating the same few sentences over and over?”

”Ajing, Ling’er...”

Then, it was a full page of instructions about being happy, which is most important...

Only at the end did it switch back to the father’s handwriting.

”Although your mother and I cannot give you cultivation techniques and martial skills, nor can we directly pass on power to you,”

”this Spirit Origin Small Secret Realm can indeed help you to open your Spirit Platform Sea of Consciousness ahead of time. When it shatters, you should cultivate diligently here, integrating the power of the Spiritual Origin Secret Realm into your Spirit Platform Sea of Consciousness.”

”If you have already opened it, then disregard what I just said.”

”Remember, the Martial Combat Stage is only the beginning of Martial Arts; the world is vast, do not be complacent, nor arrogant!”

The handwriting changed to the mother’s again: ”Your father and I are waiting for you, we must...”

The content of the letter finally ended here.

Sikong Jing and Sikong Ling both quietly looked at it, over and over again. Although most of the letter was filled with their nagging, the Sikong siblings never tired of it.

One could imagine their parents’ expressions while writing this letter, eyes probably red as they fought over the pen.

Who knows how much time passed when suddenly a faint luminescence spread around them, and the Sikong siblings suddenly awoke to realize that the Spirit Origin Small Secret Realm was starting to collapse, just as Elder Su had described, because they opened the letter.

This, of course, was a mechanism deliberately set up by their parents.

Sikong Jing quickly managed his emotions, speaking swiftly, ”Ling’er, you must quickly do as father said and start integrating the power of the Spiritual Origin Secret Realm to open your Spirit Platform Sea of Consciousness. It’s very important.”

Stunned, Sikong Ling asked blankly, ”Brother, what about you?”

”I have already done so,” Sikong Jing replied with a smile, then softly added, ”But I will stay here and cultivate with you. We both need to reach the Spirit Martial Stage quickly to be able to open the second letter.”

Sikong Ling nodded emphatically; they were only in the Extraordinary Realm now, just at the beginning of the Martial Combat Stage.

With that, Sikong Ling sat down cross-legged.

She began to absorb the power of the Spiritual Origin Secret Realm emanating around them, while Sikong Jing stored the two letters inside the Blood Devouring Dragon Pearl...

Then he too sat down cross-legged, connecting with the Blood Devouring Dragon Pearl, observing the Demon Dragon Meridians in the Ten Dragon Formation.

The siblings quietly cultivated, whether it was Su Yuexi’s business or their parents’, they both needed strong capabilities to support them, they had to become stronger quickly.

Time elapsed slowly, and the Spirit Origin Small Secret Realm did not collapse so quickly.

It took a full seven or eight days to completely fall apart. The siblings kept practicing inside...

...

Deep in the Northern Mountain, approaching the location of the Extreme North, this place was ice and snow to the extreme, bitterly cold.

In front of a terrifying icy wasteland, powerful individuals from various Central Plains forces gathered, including the Willow Leaf Saint Manor, Heavenly Dao Sacred Land, Wunian Holy Sect, Imperial Dragon Mountain, Overlord Commerce, and others.

At this moment, an old woman from Overlord Commerce said, ”Venerable, this is the Glacier Forbidden Land that our tribes have spoken of in legends; advancing further north leads to the terrifying Glacier Flowing Plain. It is said that those who enter never return.”
