Berserk God of War

Chapter 760: Chapter 760: What Is a Demon, Simply Because It Is Not Tolerated by the World

Sikong Jing softly replied, ”My father-in-law said that ever since he could remember, Grandma Wu Yan had always been seriously injured, and she passed away when he was just a teenager. Even my father-in-law isn’t very clear on the details.”

As for Yue Xi’s grandmother, Sikong Jing had only heard about her, and even his mother-in-law, Mei Xiaofang, didn’t know her.

”Seriously injured, seriously injured...”

”It truly was my fault, it was my fault!”

Elder Su sat on the ground, weeping bitterly and said excitedly, ”Back then, I should have listened to her, not fighting for fame and reputation, should have just found a quiet place to retire, ah!”

At this, Sikong Jing and his sister exchanged glances, then fell silent.

He didn’t understand the matters between Elder Su and Grandma Yue Xi back in the day; he only knew from Ye Wukui that Grandma Yue Xi had betrayed Willow Leaf Saint Manor to follow Elder Su, that was all.

But they must have had a sensational story, and Elder Su must have been oppressed by Willow Leaf Saint Manor too.

Seeing Elder Su in such pain, Sikong Jing finally spoke up.

”Grandpa Su, would retiring truly have kept you safe?”

”Grandma Wu Yan never told my father-in-law about her background, hiding in the inconspicuous Canglong Small Domain, just hoping that my father-in-law could live a safe life. But... Willow Leaf Saint Manor still came.”

At these words, Elder Su suddenly looked up, his eyes full of murderous intent as he asked, ”What did Willow Leaf Saint Manor do to Zhenglong?”

His fists were tightly clenched, his body overflowing with True Qi.

Sikong Jing took a deep breath and detailed the actions of Willow Leaf Saint Manor.

This included discovering the Canglong Small Domain from Elder Su, also including their plan to use his father-in-law to lure out Elder Su, including attempts at assassination, including changing their attitude after discovering Su Yue Xi’s Sixth-grade Feiye Battle Body.

At that moment, Sikong Ling suddenly covered her mouth, her voice trembling as she asked, ”Brother, our sister-in-law...”

”Yes, she was taken away by Willow Leaf Saint Manor, they said your sister-in-law has a Sixth-grade Feiye Battle Body and couldn’t marry an outsider like Grandma Wu Yan did, but they still hypocritically said they could try to fight for it.”

”In the end, a Dao Inquiry Realm left to assassinate me but was killed by me in return.”

Then, Sikong Jing went into detail about how he used Liu An to kill the Blood Refining Ancestor, only omitting the identity of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts.

Even though Sikong Jing’s tone was very calm while explaining, Sikong Ling already had tears streaming down her face.

So much had happened since she had been trapped here.

”Willow Leaf Saint Manor, these despicable villains, this trash!”

Elder Su, having heard everything, was furious and unrelenting, but suddenly spoke again in immense pain, ”It was me, it was me again who caused Zhenglong to be targeted. If it weren’t for me looking for Wu Yan, they wouldn’t have been discovered by Willow Leaf Saint Manor.”

”Damn it, I’m just a big bastard.”

”I’m sorry, Wu Yan, I’m sorry to my son and granddaughter, ah!”

At this moment, Elder Su again fell into severe hysteria, continuously blaming himself.

Spurt...

Suddenly, Elder Su spat out a mouthful of fresh blood fiercely.

Sikong Jing immediately rushed over and then produced another drop of essence blood and shot it into Elder Su’s mouth.

The latter had lost his senses, and swallowed it unconsciously.

Within moments, the beast poison in his body was greatly alleviated, which shows the power of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts’ essence blood.

Sikong Jing, despite looking a bit pale from releasing the essence blood, still comforted, ”Grandpa Su, none of this is your fault, you just wanted to be with the person you loved, what’s wrong with that?”

He lifted his head, his whole face gruesomely distorted, the skin on his face spasming uncontrollably.

”No, it was all my fault.”

”Back then, I should have taken Wu Yan and fled far away, but I couldn’t stand those who looked down on us, couldn’t stand their ridicule for me not being a combatant. I was determined to defeat all those arrogant combatants.”

Su Old Demon ground his teeth furiously, his battle intent surging.

”I didn’t want Wu Yan to drift through life with me either. I really wanted to earn the recognition of the Willow Leaf Saint Manor.”

”So, I defeated all the combatants of my age in the Willow Leaf Saint Manor.”

”But I didn’t expect that instead of earning their recognition, they almost killed me... It was Wu Yan who desperately protected me and secretly helped me escape from the dungeon of the Willow Leaf Saint Manor.”

At this point, Su Old Demon’s eyes welled up with memories, and the tears he shed were tinged with traces of bright red.

Those were tears of blood, indicative of how painful those times had been.

”After we left the dungeon, I spent three years cultivating and came back to the Willow Leaf Saint Manor with my followers. At Wu Yan and Liu Shitian’s wedding, I took Wu Yan away. At that moment, no one in the Willow Leaf Saint Manor could stop me.”

”After taking her away, we had the chance to flee far away, but I still wasn’t satisfied.”

”Wu Yan persuaded me not to act, but I still wanted to prove myself by challenging the top genius of Central Plains at the time. I believed that when I became the top genius, I would earn the admiration of the entire Willow Leaf Saint Manor and the recognition of the whole Central Plains.”

”Finally, two years later, I successfully defeated that person.”

At this point, rather than lifting his head proudly, Su Old Demon displayed an expression of disdain.

”But... Hahaha!”

”When I defeated the top genius of Central Plains, he declared to me... that I was a demon.”

”His name was Pei Kuang, the Saint Heir of the most powerful force in Central Plains at that time. Everyone listened to him, so I became a demon everyone wanted to kill. They said I cultivated demon techniques, that it wasn’t possible for a non-combatant to be that strong.”

”Facing the pursuit of one power after another, I could only flee the battlefield with Wu Yan.”

His fists tightened, and the agony on Su Old Demon’s face intensified, his voice gradually becoming hoarse.

”All the brothers and sisters who followed me died in battle, protecting me and Wu Yan as we escaped.”

”That was the third opportunity I had to retire with Wu Yan, but I still wasn’t satisfied. I wanted to avenge my brothers and sisters, even though Wu Yan was pregnant at that time...”

At this, Sikong Jing’s eyes also reddened unknowingly. It turned out that the origin of Su Old Demon being called a demon was like this.

Because as a non-combatant, he defeated Pei Kuang, the top genius of Central Plains, he was labeled a demon.

How ridiculous, it was utterly ludicrous!

Suddenly, Su Old Demon’s voice deepened: ”I set forth on a path of revenge as if possessed by a demon, Wu Yan wanted to fight beside me, but I drove her off with harsh words!”

”When she left, she said she would go to the Minglong Mountain Range in the east, find a Small Domain with the character ’dragon,’ and hide there, waiting for me.”

”Because at that time we had named our child... Su Zhenglong!”

Sikong Jing finally understood why the Willow Leaf Saint Manor was able to find their way to Canglong Small Domain through Su Old Demon.

It was probably because Su Old Demon inadvertently revealed something or was tracked down somehow.

”Wu Yan was also injured at the time, and she didn’t know how long she could wait for me, but I confidently thought I could do it in ten years and that Wu Yan couldn’t possibly die... only later did I realize what a fantasy it was.”

Su Old Demon laughed at himself, the bottom of his eyes filled with heart-wrenching pain.
