Nine Revolutions Star Transformation

Chapter 88: Chapter 88-89: Preparations for the Hunting Competition

”No, this is just some compensation for failing to meet your conditions. I hope you can achieve better results in next month’s hunting competition,” Dean Xu said with a smile to Chu Linfeng.

”Indeed, Chu Linfeng, it is because of your outstanding performance that we made this decision. You should know that a Storage Ring is very precious, and its value is equivalent to a hundred Middle Grade Star Stones. And even if you have Star Stones, you might not be able to buy one,” Gongsun Changyuan echoed.

”Hunting competition? What kind of event is that?” Chu Linfeng curiously asked.

”Originally, this hunting competition was scheduled for half a year later, but Sea Dragon Academy suddenly proposed to hold it one month earlier, and we could only agree. This hunting competition is quite dangerous; many people face the risk of death in it. It’s also a way for the Royal Family to eliminate some trainees.”

”And Sea Dragon Academy participates? Old man, can you explain this clearly? I understand the law of the jungle, but don’t tell me Celestial Dragon Academy always loses to Sea Dragon Academy?”

Dean Xu blushed and smiled bitterly, ”That’s right, for over ten years, we’ve been losing to Sea Dragon Academy, which is quite embarrassing. Now our hope rests on you. We hope you can restore Celestial Dragon Academy’s honor.”

”I’ll do my best, don’t worry!” Chu Linfeng immediately felt a surge of bold determination. He truly wanted to see if Sea Dragon Academy people were really so formidable.

”In the hunting competition, you can kill people. The incidents of murder and robbery often happen there, so be cautious. Your mentor will tell you the specific details. You just need to remember to stay alive. After the hunting competition, there will be a strength contest between us and Sea Dragon Academy trainees, which has also been moved ahead.”

Chu Linfeng didn’t speak. He looked up at the sky and thought, ”Even Celestial Dragon Academy’s top trainees with Fifth or Sixth Level of Earth Martial Realm couldn’t win. Sea Dragon Academy’s top experts should have Seventh or even Eighth Level of Earth Martial Realm.

To win, I must at least break through to Fourth Level of Earth Martial Realm and master the last move of the Wind-Chasing Swordsmanship, along with Heart Sword and that seemingly ordinary sword strike. But to break through to the Fourth Layer in just a month is really difficult.”

Backing down in the face of challenges is not Chu Linfeng’s nature; the greater the difficulty, the more challenging it becomes.

”Old man, I understand. Give me the key to the Star Chamber; I’ll prepare to improve my strength in a few days. I hope you take care of my women and friends during my breakthrough. Also, please take care of one more person; he should be in the Swordsmith class, named Xue Jin Mountain.”

”Xue Jin Mountain? I know this person; he has quite a talent in the Swordsmith class. I didn’t expect him to be your friend. Truly, birds of a feather flock together. We know what to do; don’t worry!” Gongsun Changyuan replied cheerfully.

After Dean Xu handed the Star Chamber key to Chu Linfeng, gave a few instructions, and left with Gongsun Changyuan, Chu Linfeng also returned directly to his dormitory.

After closing the door, Chu Linfeng eagerly put the Storage Ring on his finger. Although he hadn’t seen such a ring before, he had heard about it. To say he wasn’t happy to get such a treasure would be false.

Scanning inside with his Divine Sense, he saw there were five or six bottles of Elixirs, for healing wounds, detoxifying, or sating hunger. Each type was above Third Grade, truly valuable items.

There were a few Martial Arts Manuals, three Profound Tier and two Earth Tier, also valuable. If Sword Spirit hadn’t told Chu Linfeng to hand him an Unparalleled Martial Skill Nine Revolutions Star Transformation, he might have gone crazy seeing these skills.

However, these Martial Skills could be given to Niu Tian and Jingyi for their practice. Of course, Xue Jin Mountain can also study them if he wishes. For this sworn brother, Chu Linfeng hadn’t really shown concern yet, feeling a bit guilty.

Sword Spirit Yue’er needed Soul Snow Grass, which probably was in that glowing box; Chu Linfeng felt a strong Power of Soul emanating from it.

Finally, there were Star Stones. Chu Linfeng quickly counted; there were about a thousand Lower Grade Star Stones, over a hundred Middle Grade, and about twenty Upper Grade. Truly a fortune.

With so many Star Stones, the Star Chamber won’t be a worry, and the Magic Beast Egg of the Blood Shadow Frenzied Lion can hatch soon. Everything is developing in a positive direction.

Returning his Divine Sense from the Storage Ring, Chu Linfeng smiled and said, ”It’s time to find Jingyi for some exercise. Haven’t managed it a few times; this time should be possible!”

So, he left the room heading toward the elite classes, ignoring admiration or resentment he encountered on the way.

After reaching the elite class area, many people still didn’t recognize Chu Linfeng. Students from the regular class battling on the Life and Death Platform wasn’t much of a spectacle, so many elite class members hadn’t watched.

At Celestial Dragon Academy, there’s a clear rule that people from regular, elite, and inferior classes cannot freely enter other classes, and violators face heavy penalties. This is to prevent elite classes from bullying regular or inferior classes.

Outside each class, there’s a boundary line—people must stay outside it when looking for someone. Chu Linfeng now stood there.

”Hey brother, could you call Sima Jingyi for me? I need to talk to her!” Chu Linfeng asked a male student passing by him.

”No time, I must hurry to practice for next month’s hunting competition!” the male student said and left.

”Tsk! Just you think you might achieve something in the hunting competition? Hope you don’t die inside!” Chu Linfeng rolled his eyes at the male student’s back.

Soon, a female student passed by; Chu Linfeng quickly approached her and said, ”This pretty sister, could you call Sima Jingyi for me? Tell her her brother has something urgent.”

Looking at Chu Linfeng, the female student smiled and said, ”You must be Chu Linfeng, indeed handsome. But sister is busy now; try asking someone else!” And with that, she also left.

”Tsk! Calling you pretty sister with such a dinosaur look, such a loss. Just looking at you once makes me feel sick. Busy, busy, my foot!” Chu Linfeng was somewhat angry, unable to stand the arrogance of the elite class.

It’s better to go in and find her directly. With my relationship with Old Man Xu, punishment shouldn’t be severe.

Just then, a voice behind Chu Linfeng nearly drove him crazy. ”Lin Feng, why are you here? Are you looking for me?”

Of course, the voice was Sima Jingyi’s. After being snubbed twice, you appear now, really knowing how to choose timing. But Chu Linfeng dared not get angry; if Sima Jingyi knew, she’d laugh at him.

”Yes, I’m looking for you. Come, let’s go to my dormitory, I have something to tell you!” Chu Linfeng said with a forced smile.

”Why can’t you say it here?” Sima Jingyi asked, puzzled.

”You’ll understand soon. Come on! I’ve got something for you!” Chu Linfeng coaxed like talking to a child.

Sima Jingyi seemed to understand something, her face turned red, and she said, ”You’re too impatient!”
