Nine Revolutions Star Transformation

Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Comprehending the Heart Sword

Next up is Chu Linfeng. ”Lin Feng, keep it up! I’m sure you will also see yellow light; I have faith in you,” Lin Ruoxi said with a smile.

”Mmm! I won’t disappoint you!”

Taking a deep breath, he slowly walked to the screen that brings both joy and worry, preparing for the first test.

After circulating the Star Power within his body, Chu Linfeng quickly performed the Illusionary Concealment Finger. The screen showed an orange light, indicating that Chu Linfeng had passed.

Although he already knew the outcome, he still felt a bit disappointed. It seemed impossible to make the screen show yellow light with the Phantom Finger.

Just when Chu Linfeng didn’t know what to do, the weak voice of Sword Spirit Yue’Er appeared in his mind.

”Lin Feng, you can use swordsmanship. Although you can’t use a sword, you can substitute your fingers for the sword, infuse Star Power into your fingertips, and achieve Sword Control with the Heart, uniting body and soul for tremendous power.”

”Substitute fingers for the sword? Sword Control with the Heart, Sister Yue’Er, that’s so difficult!” Chu Linfeng said helplessly.

”Have confidence in yourself, discard all distractions. Imagine yourself as a sword. Perform as you did with the Wind Chasing Sword Technique, only now using fingers instead of a sword. Let your fingertips emit Sword Qi; its attack power will not be weaker than a sword’s.”

”Let me try!” It seemed Chu Linfeng had grasped something as he stood quietly before the screen, closing his eyes and pondering, with the key principles of the Wind Chasing Sword Technique repeatedly surfacing in his mind.

The disciples waiting for the test couldn’t understand what he intended to do and began discussing it among themselves.

Sima Jingyi also didn’t understand why Chu Linfeng wasn’t attacking the screen and stood here instead, full of questions.

”The key to a sword is to advance relentlessly, to kill gods when meeting gods, and to kill men when meeting men. A thrust, a slash, a stab, a sweep; every seemingly simple move can be fatal, containing hidden dangers in transformations.”

Follow the sword’s movement, the sword is born from the heart. Within Chu Linfeng’s mind, an understanding of the sword slowly took shape.

Although the Wind Chasing Sword Technique is a Profound Tier martial skill, mastering one aspect means mastering all; swordsmanship is the embodiment of the Sword Dao, capable of leading martial artists into the world of swords; it all depends on the practitioner’s insight.

The power of martial skill doesn’t lie within the sword itself. The sword is merely a weapon used by martial artists; what truly matters is the martial artist.

Wave after wave of insights came rushing like tides in his mind, and Chu Linfeng suddenly realized he seemed to have stepped into a different world.

This is a world belonging to him, yet unfamiliar, a world that is none other than his own inner world.

”So that’s it, so that’s it. Whether it’s a saber or a sword, they are merely tools for martial artists to exert force.

To unleash the strongest power with these weapons, the most important thing is the martial artist’s inner heart.

As the sword follows the hand, the hand follows the heart, thus real powerful swordsmanship is not executed with the hand but with the heart.”

In his mind, it was as if a transparent membrane was broken through, and Chu Linfeng suddenly felt that his fingers were the sword, a weapon ready to emerge at any moment, capable of startling an attack.

”Sword Control with the Heart, Heart Sword!”

His eyes suddenly became bright; in this moment, he completely understood. Raising his finger, he gently touched the screen. There were no dazzling movements, no glaring flashes of swords; just a gentle gesture.

After waiting so long and seeing Chu Linfeng perform such an action, many people felt he was a fool, a fool wasting everyone’s time. Such an attack might not even produce a red light.

Yet at this moment, a sharp gaze looked at Chu Linfeng, it was the deputy dean’s gaze. Upon seeing Chu Linfeng’s action, a surprised expression appeared on his face.

He clearly felt that Chu Linfeng had made a breakthrough in both mental realm and aura at this moment, an indescribable breakthrough, calm yet truly present.

Achieving a breakthrough in front of the screen was unbelievable, requiring enough confidence and courage, and the ability to be free of distractions, something quite few could achieve.

While everyone thought there was no effect from Chu Linfeng’s strike, the screen emitted a color, a color that nobody believed possible. A dazzling green light appeared.

The result shocked everyone again; nobody thought such a phenomenon would occur, with the screen emitting green light, indicating Zhao Fei had strength above the Fourth Level of Earth Martial Realm.

The deputy dean nodded in satisfaction, amazed that this young man could comprehend in such an environment; it was incredibly challenging.

Substituting fingers for the sword, performing Sword Control with the Heart; these were phenomena of achieving Great Success in the Sword Dao. To understand the essence of swordsmanship at such a young age truly indicates a genius, a genius the Celestial Dragon Academy would invest all efforts to cultivate.

Chu Linfeng slowly walked down; even he didn’t expect the Heart Sword realization and execution to be so powerful. His mood couldn’t calm down for a long time.

Sima Jingyi looked at Chu Linfeng as if he was a monster. ”A monster indeed; unexpectedly, he has the strength of the Fourth Level of Earth Martial Realm. No matter what, I must complete the task given by my father.”

Tang Li looked happy seeing Chu Linfeng come down. ”Chu Linfeng, you’re truly amazing. I didn’t misjudge you!” She said, getting on the stage.

Chu Linfeng didn’t fully grasp her words; his mind remained focused on the Heart Sword realization, choosing not to respond to Tang Li then.

”Lin Feng, I’m proud of you!” Lin Ruoxi walked over with a laugh.

”Ruoxi, be sure to put in effort later, perform your best technique. That move was a spur of the moment thought; I’m sure you can do it too,” Chu Linfeng hoped Lin Ruoxi would excel, enhancing their chances to be together.

”I won’t disappoint you! Expect a surprise shortly, not as strong as yours, but close enough,” Lin Ruoxi confidently replied.

Just then, a voice came through: ”Hello, I’m Niu Tian. Your strength is impressive; I hope to be friends with you...”

Chu Linfeng looked up, seeing it was the youth who made the screen emit yellow light. He responded quickly, ”My name is Chu Linfeng, your strength is commendable too. Hopefully, we’ll study at Celestial Martial Academy.”

”Certainly, definitely! You’re so strong; at first, when I heard the girl say there was green light, I thought it was a joke. Brother, your strength truly amazes me,” Niu Tian said sincerely.

Chu Linfeng appreciated meeting such people, honest and without guile, treating others well deeply.

Few people were like that; in a world filled with deceit and selfishness. ”Well then, let’s watch my friend, and chat when she’s done.”

Tang Li was currently testing; Chu Linfeng wondered about this lady’s strength.
