From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

When Su Jiameng woke up again, she found her vision shrouded in darkness, as if something was bound over her eyes. Her muddled brain still felt hazy, and she couldn’t grasp what this meant for a moment... Her eyes... they ached a bit...

She moved her lips slightly and found her throat and oral cavity so dry that they could almost catch fire, with every cell in her body screaming in pain.

She obediently lay still, trying to gather some strength. After a while, her mind finally cleared, and she suddenly realized her current situation was truly far from good. Every muscle from top to bottom seemed on the verge of a strike; her right arm was numb, and her left leg as well...

As she shifted slightly, her internal organs ached faintly... prompting her to involuntarily take a sharp intake of breath. She tried lifting her intact left hand... Compared to other areas, her left hand was indeed relatively unharmed... Then she slowly propped herself up on the bed...

It was just a simple motion of sitting halfway up, but for Su Jiameng now, it took all her strength.

Her eyes couldn’t see, and her vision was enveloped in darkness... Of course, she wouldn’t naively think it was just too dark or that her night vision was extraordinary, allowing her to see as clear as day in the night, yet now she couldn’t see anything... Was it a problem with her eyes?

If this situation befell someone else, they would probably be unable to sit still. But Su Jiameng, having experienced innumerable injuries in her second life, considered temporary blindness to be something she could accept. Even if it weren’t temporary, but a permanent loss of sight, for her it would merely add some unnecessary troubles to life, as she could still rely on other senses in the future.

For her, fighting didn’t necessarily require eyes... Therefore, she wasn’t too concerned. Since she couldn’t see, she could only use her intact left hand to feel around. Both legs were wrapped thickly in plaster; her right foot could still move, but her left foot couldn’t...

She felt around other areas as well, helplessly finding herself resembling the old Major General Su, wrapped in bandages from top to bottom. No, it might be even more thorough now, at least Major General Su hadn’t had his eyes wrapped too...

Due to her impaired vision, her hearing was especially sensitive. Despite numerous obstructions around, she could still vaguely detect a group of people approaching here. She instinctively reached to the bed’s edge, trying to find Xihe, but unsurprisingly came up empty.

Soon, a completely unfamiliar presence filled the room. Yu Feng noticed that Su Jiameng had already sat up. Expressionless, he sat to the side, his demeanor as relaxed as if he were in his own home, ”What’s your name? Why are you so badly injured?”

Su Jiameng remained silent, feeling her throat sore with even a slight attempt to speak, and was simply too lazy to respond.

Moreover, the speaker... She was certain she hadn’t heard the voice before; it should be an unfamiliar man. Confronted with a stranger, and one with certain calculations, she didn’t want to expose her information, which made her uneasy.

Yet his question inevitably reminded Su Jiameng of something she hadn’t thought of.... bringing back the incident before her coma.

Although Cui Hu’s mecha performance was good, it was merely in combat; its speed was not outstanding. Though they ascended quickly, the explosion’s violent shock and airwaves still engulfed the mecha, forcing her to use her entire telekinesis to form a shield.

The explosion’s power was beyond imagination, coupled with the urgency of time. At that moment, Su Jiameng was also wounded, and the telekinesis shield needed to protect everyone in the cockpit, so the hastily assembled telekinesis shield naturally was not very sturdy. As the one taking the frontal impact, her injuries were, of course, the heaviest. She was unaware of events after fainting... but judging by the situation, they eventually managed to teleport away.

”Not going to answer?” Yu Feng’s work was busy, yet he still carved out considerable time to engage with Su Jiameng, with plenty of patience and energy, ”We’re all Plane Merchants, so let’s cut to the chase... What’s your mission here?”

Upon hearing the phrase ”We’re all Plane Merchants,” Su Jiameng’s body instantly tensed up, finally enduring the throat pain to turn her head and ask him, ”What did you say... Plane Merchant? Are you... too? If I’m not mistaken... a plane can only have one merchant. Are you... from another plane on a mission here?”

Yu Feng, puzzled by her query, suddenly didn’t know how to continue. Regardless of anything, wasn’t this line of questioning supposed to come from him? Could this woman... be unaware that her mission is cross-dimensional?
