From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

After speaking, she sneered and asked, ”Is this reason enough to claim the lives of you two?”

Yun Cuixi’s expression grew increasingly dark and uncertain, the intense pain in his arm no match for the turmoil in his mind.

Because of his agitated emotions, initially only half of his face was covered in scales, but now those scales seemed alive, crawling to cover the other half of his face as well. No matter how exquisitely perfect Yun Cuixi’s face used to be, it now looked terrifying!

Liang Xiaonuo listened, bewildered, yet aware that the monstrous figure before her was indeed Major General Xilena of the Fifth Expeditionary Army, Yun Cuixi! And that Su Jiameng had come here to kill him...

A definition quickly surfaced in Liang Xiaonuo’s mind: Major General Yun Cuixi was colluding with Star Thieves, betraying the Human Alliance!

Su Jiameng watched the Star Thief Leader rubbing his belly, his face grimacing in pain, but he hadn’t suffered serious injuries. After getting up and stretching, he even let out a dismissive laugh, ”That little girl’s strength is quite something.”

”That Alliance traitor is very strong, I can’t handle him. There are two of them here. I’ll keep the Star Thief occupied while you take care of the traitor Yun Cuixi.” Liang Xiaonuo raised Shengping, her eyes firm, her words strong and resonant. Then, remembering their current situation, she sheepishly added, ”Of course, my strength is limited, I fear I can’t buy much time.”

It was then that Su Jiameng noticed the woman in Augustus Military Department’s uniform beside her, and without turning her head, said, ”No need, this is a personal vendetta between me and these two, I don’t like anyone interfering when I’m dealing with things. What you should be doing now is assisting your comrades in fighting the enemy, right? Their situation doesn’t look good...”

Su Jiameng, Luo Xin, and Gu Ningyi had agreed that they would hold back the elite shadows following Yun Cuixi and draw them away, allowing her to act without worry. Although Cui Hu had already lured out some small fry, they weren’t the entire elite.

When Gu Ningxuan, Luo Xin, and their subordinates, who had hidden their identities, appeared, the elite troops emerged one by one. The group piloted Mechas in an indiscriminate aerial battle... In truth, the most dangerous place at this time wasn’t the aerial battlefield, but the ground, where a stray shot could easily turn you into a sieve, or the aftermath of an Energy Cannon could blast you to pieces...

As a combat member of the mission team, Gu Ningyi’s art of drawing monsters... ahem, luring enemies was indeed diversely rich. He sent a message saying, ”Take care of yourself,” and, with a few trusted followers, led a string of enemies away.

Of course, Luo Xin and her subordinates weren’t lacking either. The chaotic aerial battlefield was cleared thoroughly, leaving only unswept smoke veiling the sky in a somber and oppressive shade. Just a glance brings a heavy stone to one’s heart, making it hard to breathe.

Although Gu Ningyi attracted the bulk of the hostility, the initial sudden increase in enemy numbers caused considerable trouble for Lu Anchen and Theo Mossley, with the pace of battle almost slipping out of control, nearly leading to a total wipeout crisis.

When that team led the enemies away, Lu Anchen found, somewhat helplessly, that the opponents facing him and Theo Mossley were also inadvertently drawn away.

Damn, were those guys here to boast about how skilled they were in drawing aggro, or to mock their inability to hold enemy attention during battle?

With no enemies left, Lu Anchen’s group didn’t get to rest. Lu Anchen led Cui Hu to continue high-altitude reconnaissance, aiming all firepower at the ground for intimidation.

Meanwhile, Theo Mossley piloted his Mecha downward, providing support for Liang Xiaonuo.

”Theo, first take these two kids to a safe place, then request support from headquarters.” Liang Xiaonuo initially intended to secretly report Major General Yun Cuixi’s betrayal to her superior, but this area was unfortunately not covered by the interstellar network or regional network, making it impossible to send any messages...

They had chosen this trade location because Yun Cuixi and his accomplices had calculated it in advance.

”And what about you?” Theo asked Liang Xiaonuo, shouldering the unconscious children who narrowly survived. ”You should leave too!”

”No need, I’m providing support here. With Cui Hu monitoring from above, I’ll be fine!” Liang Xiaonuo glanced at the trio battling it out, took a deep breath, ”I am an Alliance Warrior; capturing a traitor is an undeniable duty!”

Su Jiameng wasn’t an Alliance Soldier, yet she faced those two malevolent villains. How could she, being a warrior committed to guarding the Alliance, choose to retreat at this moment? If she truly did so, she’d never get over it herself.

”No problem... I can put them on an unmanned Mecha, they can be sent off just the same.” Theo smiled, eyes shining with bright blue-green leafy patterns, ”Though I am not human, I currently hold the identity of an Alliance Warrior too, and cannot retreat before the fight. Capturing the traitor is your duty, and mine as well...”

Liang Xiaonuo hesitated for a moment, then sighed, ”Fine! Contact Cui Hu, there’s been a change in the mission. First priority is capturing the traitor Yun Cuixi, second is apprehending the Green Wolf Star Thief Alliance leader, and third... is retrieving the intercepted secrets!”

Su Jiameng hadn’t expected that not only did the Augustus female warrior stay, but another member of the Jialanluo Clan showed up... Oh, and there were also two from Augustus in the sky... At this rate, today’s events definitely wouldn’t wrap up smoothly...

Initially, she had simply intended to quietly take out Yun Cuixi and his partner, pinning their deaths on their rivals. But now, with four fiery youths in the mix... some secrets simply couldn’t be kept...(To be continued.
