From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

”Is this what she meant by telekinesis?” Gu Ningxuan had a vague intuition as he gazed at a massive boulder over ten meters away. With just a thought, the stone exploded into a pile of rubble.

In the past, spiritual power could only serve as deterrence, but now it could be used against enemies, inflicting tangible, terrifying damage on others. Gu Ningxuan clenched his fist tightly and said with closed eyes, ”It’s indeed frightening, and I can feel that the potential of this power is far more than that...”

After resting for a while, he prepared to set off toward the nearest scavenger settlement and find a way back to Qiming Star. He walked slowly but firmly through a forest of bizarre stone formations. It seemed that not yet accustomed to the sudden surge of power, he had to catch his breath every few steps before continuing forcefully. However, compared to the vastness of an area as large as the Eurasian Continent of Earth Era, how could he traverse it on foot? After half a day, he still hadn’t gotten far...

As night fell, Gu Ningxuan leaned against a petrified tree, his eyelids drooping in fatigue, his chest gently heaving. In his drowsiness, he noticed the scene before him becoming extremely strange, immediately alerting him. Seeing those scenes clearly left him in long-lasting amazement.

Before coming here, he’d heard from many scavengers that on certain days, faint green fireflies would appear here, creating an eerie spectacle that led many to believe there was treasure hidden in this place. However, even when digging three feet deep, no one had found anything valuable, and gradually this phenomenon was categorized as a unique landscape of this planet.

However, Gu Ningxuan, having activated his telekinesis, felt something entirely different, and even his anxious heart beat vigorously.

”This is... the scent of Clay Ore... only the fluctuations are very faint, with radiation suppressed to a safe limit.” Gu Ningxuan murmured to himself. Rested and with considerable stamina recovered, he followed that feeling to search.

Clay Ore is a double-edged sword; mishandled, it could mean the difference between heaven and hell. If the radiation were too strong, it could cause unforeseen harm to scavengers seeking treasures here. Yet, he hadn’t heard of scavengers mysteriously dying after coming here, suggesting the radiation was indeed low, posing minimal harm to humans...

Those fluctuations were emitted by the faint green fireflies, and Gu Ningxuan didn’t need much effort to uncover the true nature of the fireflies.

Digging out a piece with his hands and wiping off the soil, he found that the radiation from Clay Ore surged several levels... These black soils, special to this place, had the ability to shield against the radiation of Clay Ore?

Unaware of the rarity of Clay Ore, Gu Ningxuan wasn’t too surprised by discovering wild Clay Ore here; he was more intrigued by the ubiquitous black soil across the continent.

As his hand touched Clay Ore, he distinctly felt a force within the stone trying to invade his body.

Having reviewed Su Jiameng’s detailed information, he fully understood what this force was.

Unprocessed Clay Ore carried intense radiation power; if ordinary people came into contact with it, it would cause irreparable damage. Only a lucky few could use it to transform, ascending from spiritual power to telekinesis. Of course, without a guide, death was inevitable.

For any being with spiritual power, processed Clay Ore was invaluable because it ensured spiritual power was not depleted and offered maximal growth aid, even if it was just a thumbnail-sized piece.

Gu Ningxuan didn’t know how strong his telekinesis was now, but on contacting this piece of Clay Ore, a feeling called ”thirst” completely occupied his mind, impulsively urging absorption, like a traveler in a desert finally finding an oasis.

After pondering, he chose to follow the urge. With the help of Clay Ore, his exhaustion quickly dissipated like the tide...

”Clay Ore...” Gu Ningxuan murmured, looking at the ore that had turned to gray dust in his palm.

According to Su Jiameng’s information, he knew that in the training, growth, and supplementation of telekinesis, this kind of ore played an extremely important role. Although she didn’t explicitly mention the ore’s rarity, Gu Ningxuan still had a vague concept.

”Is this all Clay Ore...” He got up to dig out a few more stones emitting a faint green glow, his expression thoughtful. He remembered Su Jiameng seemed to need these things. If he gave them to her, she’d probably be very happy, right?

At this thought, a bold idea emerged in Gu Ningxuan’s mind... He wanted to buy this planet and give it to Su Jiameng as compensation. Buying a planet seemed crazy and audacious, but after being mined over and over, this planet had become increasingly worthless, and buying it wouldn’t require many Credit Points...

Moreover, Gu Ningxuan had extorted the mercenary leader O’Neal previously, and the Credit Points in his account were enough to buy over ten such desolate planets. With this thought, Gu Ningxuan stood up and patted the dirt off his clothes, his eyes bright.

”Maybe... those two kids will like this gift too.” Gu Ningxuan took along ten or so fist-sized pieces of Clay Ore, deliberately applying a thick layer of black soil to ensure the radiation wouldn’t harm regular people.

He remembered Su Jiameng mentioning that the two children inherited her constitution and were very fond of Clay Ore... Perhaps those two children are Mind Power Users too? Yes, given that, Clay Ore must hold an unusual allure for them as well?

Gu Ningxuan initially thought he could return to the Su Mansion on Qiming Star quickly. However, plans could not keep up with changes, and when he finally returned, it was years later, and everything had already changed... (To be continued.
