Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1315: They are preparing for battle

A metal rack was on the bonfire. On it was the back leg of a mutated lifeform, a meter long. It glistened under the flames and gave off a fragrance.

A person was scattering some condiments, which increased the fragrance.

People who were able to lit a fire in the wilderness and barbecue meat weren’t ordinary people.

This person sliced a few pieces of meat with his blade and placed them into a plate, passing them to Dark.

“Not bad.” Dark used his dagger to pick a piece. He chewed and gave that guy a thumbs up.

“Sizzle!”

The sound of crystal weapons firing spread from another direction, and everyone turned.

“Beautiful, how is it?”

A muscular person chewed the meat and allowed the fat to flow down the corner of his mouth.

“Don’t call me beautiful; I have said that to you multiple times!”
The person who had fired the guy cursed.

She raised her head to reveal a face that, although wasn’t a top beauty, she was still very good-looking.

But the black eye bags reduced some of her charm, making her look more rational and smart instead.

“Sister Kai, don’t bother with these brutes. Tell us what you have seen.”

Dark laughed and took over the conversation.

His status was the highest, and he was also the strongest of these people. Although there wasn’t a clear master-subordinate relationship between them, his words were still very useful.

This person called Sister Kai played with the crystal gun in her hands and thought about it: ” Itʼs magical equipment. The theory isn’t too difficult, but the problem is how to test that theory.”

Dark gathered the Reina Star Faction spokespeople to negotiate with Ye Zhongming and obtained many good things.

Dark wasn’t too interested in the gene lifeforms. Cloud Peak was selling the basic stuff which couldn’t compare to some battle beasts. It only saved time and effort as you didn’t need to nurture them.

But these basic gene lifeforms needed some time to show their strength. Cloud Peak didn’t sell too many, and they were split between many organisations. These gene lifeforms also had to be maintained and fed, which wasn’t what Dark and the other spokespeople wanted to do.

After all, they had better channels to get more effective things than these gene lifeforms.

What they cared most about were the crystal weapons. This item perfectly merged gene technology with earth technology.

Of course, these first-generation guns weren’t strong enough to tempt the spokespeople. What they cared more about was the technology.

Of the few of them, Sister Kai was who they placed their hopes on.

“Can you understand it?”

Dark placed the plate down and took out a crystal gun from his space. He looked at it.

Sister Kai considered it: “There is a possibility, but I need time, and I can’t give you a confident answer.”

This made the spokespeople silent. They understood from various channels that Cloud Peak’s strongest crystal weapon was the Annihilation series cannons. They were strong enough to threaten level eight and nine lifeforms. Even the races in the universe would pay attention to the cannons. Ŕ𝐚ƝŐᛒЕṢ

No matter which faction Cloud Peak chose to join in the future, understanding the secrets of the crystal weapon would only benefit them.

But…

What if they couldn’t understand it?

Dark stopped thinking about it. If Sister Kai could understand it, that would be the best. If not, he will leave it to the universeʼs races to study. With their technology levels, they should be able to break the secrets within.

But Dark was not happy that he didn’t get the crystal cannon.

Seeing that Dark was silent, Sister Kai placed the crystal gun down and sat beside him.

“Why? We expected that we wouldn’t be able to understand the technology, so why are you unhappy?”

Dark shook his head, “not about that.”

He kept the crystal gun in his hands and looked at Sister Kai.

“Don’t you find it weird? Why will Cloud Peak sell this?”

Everyone ate while paying close attention. They did consider this problem previously.

“Weird, but we can’t guess their reasoning.” Sister Kai’s status should be very high. When she spoke, the other people looked at Dark with similar expressions.

“Very hard to imagine that Cloud Peak could win the hearts of everyone. Even the factions in Ying City are mostly loyal to them. That is rare in the apocalypse.”

Another spokesperson frowned and recalled the many problems he faced when trying to get information in Puxing Town. He didn’t understand how Cloud Peak had such prestige and respect.

“A safe living environment, a strong faction protecting you, and you are relying on them to eat and survive. That is enough to ensure they don’t dare betray them.”

Dark came to a conclusion, and everyone felt that it made sense.

“Cloud Peak is preparing for battle.”

Dark said once again, but this time, the contents were shocking.

“They lack money, so they sell these things. But why do they lack money? Why do they need crystals? I think they want a large number of potions to raise their combat strength.”

Dark stood up and walked two rounds around the fire, “What is making them rush to get stronger? Either they face some dangers and need to get stronger. Or they are going to start a large-scale battle and need to win!”

“No matter which it is, Cloud Peak is going to fight!”

The spokespeople here represent some members of Reina Star Faction so they knew many things. They didn’t discuss it and just thought about it silently.

Cloud Peak was a top three superfaction. Their actions would affect the situation in the China region. If Cloud Peak is going to start a war, who would it be against? Would it be a faction that they represented? Even if it wasn’t, how would it affect them?

“I think everyone knows.” Dark clapped and looked around. Cloud Peak’s target will affect us, so we have to care. What we have to do is find out who they are targeting. If there is no answer, we need to follow them and see what they want to do!”
