My Youth Began With Him

The group was speechless upon seeing this post.

Huo Mian sang this song not just because it was easy to sing. Qin Chu was the only one who knew how much Huo Mian valued the lyrics to a song.

It was like how she loved Leslie Chung’s Silence is Gold. She used to ask Qin Chu to sing this song for her. Although it was an old song and not a lot of millennials even knew of it, she loved the song’s lyrics.

“In fate it was already decided that you be rich or poor,

What is false will never be true; truth is always true;

Whatever you say, I’ll be responsible for my own duties.

Always believed that silence is gold.”

Huo Mian sincerely believed in those lyrics and lived her life just like that – that was why she was so successful today.

After having their fun with Huo Mian, the group dispersed; some went on to eat, others went to get some champagne and continue to enjoy the fireworks.

Qin Chu, worried that his pregnant wife would be too tired, asked Qin Ning to take care of the twins, while the two of them walked back to their room to rest for a while.

“Honey…”

“Yeah?”

“Did you like my singing?”

“I did.”

“Haha, I know you’ll never say I suck. You don’t want me to get angry.”

“No, I really did like your singing,” Qin Chu said in all seriousness.

“Really?” Huo Mian asked suspiciously.

“Honey, you’re a little sun that not only gives me warmth, but also lightens up everyone around you.”

“Mr. Qin! You’re too much…” Huo Mian covered her face in embarrassment. Qin Chu was right though; although she couldn’t say it for herself, she really did think of herself as a little sun to her friends and family – she wanted them to be happier because they had her in their lives.

She couldn’t say those words herself because it would seem narcissistic, but Qin Chu obviously knew her better than everyone else.

“I’m not too much, I’m just telling the truth… Dr. Huo, you are and you always will be the best.”

After arriving in their room, Huo Mian sat down on the bed while Qin Chu kneeled down in front of her and helped her untie her shoes.

At this moment, Huo Mian wished she could live like this forever.

Even later, when Huo Mian had to endure inhumane hardships and make life’s most difficult decisions, she would think back at this moment whenever she wanted to end her life.

She looked down as Qin Chu untied her shoes; his handsome face and gentle gestures melted her heart.

Qin Chu rarely showed any emotions to other people… all his emotions were exposed to Huo Mian, and Huo Mian only.

“What are you thinking about?” Qin Chu looked up to see Huo Mian staring at him.

“Honey, will you be this good to me for the rest of my life?”

“What do you think?” Qin Chu’s lips formed a smile that was capable of mesmerizing a million girls.

“I want to hear you say it,” Huo Mian answered stubbornly. With her giant belly, she bent down and pinched Qin Chu’s flawless face with both her hands.

“Of course I will.”

“What if I change in the future? What if I’m not the person I am today? Would you still be this good to me?” Huo Mian asked, feeling a little emotional.
