Algorithm system

I am Ah QAt the Lanbiao Factory building, Lin Yuan waited for Director Wang.

Director Wang looked at Lin Yuan with a smile, as if his previous warning to him had never existed.

“Xiao Lin, let’s go.”

Lin Yuan couldn’t be bothered to understand the reason behind this sudden change. If he couldn’t figure it out, he simply wouldn’t think about it and would just proceed at his own pace.

To be honest, Lin Yuan felt quite frustrated today.

He had been frustrated ever since his first interview at the Lanbiao Factory that morning, but he was helpless.

He never had the initiative in front of Zhang Yan; she was completely a young miss who did as she pleased. In front of Director Wang, he was practically a grandson.

He estimated that if he ever met Zhang Yan’s father, he might not even be considered a monkey.

Lin Yuan even thought, ‘Damn it, don’t push me. If you push me too hard, I’ll do anything. At worst, I’ll take Zhang Yan…’

As soon as this thought popped up, Lin Yuan squashed it.

Because Zhang Yan had never wronged him, his own conscience wouldn’t allow it.

Knowing that Director Wang had come in person, Director Zhang of the Lanbiao Factory specifically came downstairs to greet him. At the same time, his gaze towards Lin Yuan changed.

This was not the first time Lin Yuan had experienced such an incredulous look.

The last time was when he developed the food delivery algorithm at Good Group; people looked at him the same way. The senior engineers at Good Group’s internal research institute looked at him as if he were a deity.

This time, it was naturally because of Director Wang, who was in front of him.

It was because Lin Yuan had just said that morning that he would call Director Wang over, and Director Wang actually came that afternoon.

How could this not surprise people?

But Lin Yuan couldn’t appreciate such astonished gazes.

The group did not immediately sit down in the conference room.

Director Zhang took Director Wang on a tour of the company, ostensibly to guide their work.

After the tour, and once they were seated in the conference room, there was more of the usual meaningless pleasantries.

“I heard Director Wang will be transferred to Su Province soon?”

Director Wang smiled, not denying it.

“We hope Director Wang can give us more suggestions on stabilizing the food delivery industry. The market needs competition to remain vibrant.”

Director Wang nodded slightly, “I came here today in a private capacity to take a look. For specific work, you can consult with Xiao Lin.”

...

Before long, Director Wang ended his day’s schedule, citing being too busy with work.

Lin Yuan also read the result from the faces of the Lanbiao Factory staff—he had been accepted by them.

Director Wang didn’t explicitly give the other party any promises, yet it was as if he had said everything.

The Lanbiao Factory was concerned about two points.

First, the attitude at the policy level.

Su Province is the economic core of the southeastern region, and Good Group has now completed its algorithm iteration in Su Province and is in the process of expanding nationwide. Su Province is considered the birthplace of this Good Group delivery reform, so Su Province’s subsequent policy direction will serve as an important reference for other provinces.

Therefore, Su Province’s current policy stance on the food delivery industry is very important.

Director Wang, as the person in charge of this work, his arrival served as a reassurance for the Lanbiao Factory.

Second, Lin Yuan’s attitude.

Since Lin Yuan could persuade Director Wang to come, and he came the same afternoon he was asked in the morning, it indicated that Director Wang was backing Lin Yuan. Thus, the Lanbiao Factory no longer had any doubts about Lin Yuan.

Lin Yuan finally got his wish and took the first step in his revenge against Good Group.

However, the way this step was taken was completely unexpected.

Zhang Yan and Lin Yuan saw Director Wang off to his car.

Just before parting, Director Wang stared at Zhang Yan for a long time before slowly saying, “I originally thought highly of Xiao Lin, and I should have helped him out this time. After all, he did remind me to pay attention to Good Group manipulating stock prices to prevent the food delivery industry from developing out of balance.

But his actions towards you were very dishonorable, not like a man.”

Lin Yuan was very embarrassed because Director Wang didn’t avoid him when he said this.

Lin Yuan really wanted to say, ‘Damn it, it’s not what I wanted, it’s clearly your apprentice acting like a hooligan.’

“From my perspective, Zhang Yan, you should completely cut ties with this guy. His two teachers are not good people; if the beam above is not straight, the lower beams will be crooked.”

Lin Yuan thought to himself, ‘Holy crap! Even cursing my two masters?’

“Master…” Zhang Yan looked reluctant.

“I told your father. Your father told me not to have personal prejudices and to do things as they were originally planned. He is my leader after all, and he sees the bigger picture. And he is your father, so he has more say in your future.

So I listened to his advice and still helped this kid out today.

But I reserve my opinion. I’m sure you also know my opinion.

In short, don’t let yourself be taken advantage of.

Otherwise, I will be the first to object.”

Watching Director Wang drive away.

Lin Yuan finally felt a little less awkward, “Didn’t you say your executive master was Old Mo? Why is Director Wang still so concerned about you?”

“Old Mo is the one who usually teaches me hands-on. My Uncle Wang is too busy; he usually doesn’t have time to ask about the details of my work.”

“Uncle Wang?” Lin Yuan chuckled, “Alright, that was a redundant question.”

“What’s wrong? Uncle Wang was my grandfather’s guard, I’ve known him for a long time.”

“Don’t say anymore, I don’t want to hear it. It’ll just make me angry.”

Lin Yuan was very helpless. Because only now, after the fact, did he realize that Director Wang had originally intended to return a favor to him. As a result, he even asked Zhang Yan to contact him, which turned out to be counterproductive.

However, on second thought, perhaps his and Zhang Yan’s matter would be exposed sooner or later anyway.

“Forget it, paper can’t hide fire. It’s my own doing after all.”

“What are you saying, Senior Brother?”

“Nothing. Open the car door for Senior Brother, we’re going home.”

“What’s wrong?” Although Zhang Yan was curious, she still opened the car door for Lin Yuan.

Lin Yuan immediately got in, “Nothing. I just want to… experience the little princess’s service and regain some self-respect.”

“Ah? Do you feel insulted today?”

Lin Yuan thought for a moment, “Maybe my neck is too stiff.”

“Then should Junior Sister give you a shoulder rub?”

Lin Yuan leaned back accordingly.

And indeed, Zhang Yan’s strength from her martial arts training made massaging his shoulders and back truly comfortable.

Lin Yuan finally felt much better.

‘Well, people should be like Ah Q when needed. No matter how high-ranking a leader you are, your daughter is currently serving me anyway. You old man, you probably don’t get to enjoy Zhang Yan massaging your shoulders and back a few times a year.’

“Senior Brother, how do you plan to deal with Good Group next?”

Lin Yuan’s brows furrowed; he wanted to unleash all his anger on Good Group. ‘I can’t deal with Zhang Yan, but I can’t deal with you, Good Group?’

“I’ll strike from both business and stock market levels. I’m going to hit Good Group hard to vent my hatred.”

Seeing Lin Yuan’s somewhat gritted teeth expression, “Senior Brother, why do you suddenly hate Good Group so much?”

“Because Senior Brother is now full of a sense of justice.”

“But you just said you wanted to start from the stock market; you’re not going to take the opportunity to accumulate private wealth again, are you? Aren’t you afraid of being investigated by the organization if you do that, or are you doing it to better hide yourself?”

If Zhang Yan hadn’t brought it up, Lin Yuan would have almost forgotten that he was still playing the role of a secret front worker in front of her.

“By the way, if I’m not part of the system at all, would you let me go?”

After realizing the danger of getting close to Zhang Yan, Lin Yuan felt as if he had done another foolish thing like “hand-making an admission letter.” He actually wanted to rely on getting close to Zhang Yan to cling to a powerful figure; he was truly silly and naive. Was this kind of powerful figure someone you could just casually cling to?

So, Lin Yuan suddenly thought: if he could part ways with Zhang Yan now, it wouldn’t be unacceptable. At least he could return to his peaceful little life.

Unexpectedly, Zhang Yan squeezed hard with her hand.

“Ouch! What are you doing?”

“I’m going to pinch you to death. We’ve known each other for so long, and I’ve even called you my dear brother, and you still want to kick me away. Aren’t you going too far?”

“It’s only been a few months. I mean, what if, what if I really was just an ordinary person?”

“I don’t care if you’re part of the system or not, I just find you interesting.”

Alright, Lin Yuan completely gave up now.

He silently chanted in his heart to the empty space, his silent chant directed at the old man he had never met. ‘Old man, I hope you have some martial ethics. Don’t force me to fight to the death, otherwise, I’ll really give you a grandson.’
