Child of Destiny

Chapter 2195: New Battle Form

...…

Understanding that the current situation might not be ideal given their current circumstances, Diablo decided to immediately go all out.

He would hold nothing back to finish this battle as soon as possible.

ʼShadow Dancer Skill (Tier 3): Shadow Equip – Divine War Robeʼ

Right after, his cloak was suddenly coated with ancient shadow energy that was continuously flowing out and constantly pulsing as if it were alive.

At the same time, he had also initiated his dual elemental spirit possession, letting his two contracted elementals fuse with the dagger and stiletto that he was holding in his right and left hands, respectively.

He originally had three Elemental Spirits, which he had gotten along with the help of the Pandemonium Descendants. All of them possessed shadow powers of different varieties, making him a triple shadow contractor.

However, when he gained the blessing from the Ancient Queen of Shadows, two of them slowly assimilated and steadily walked toward the path of evolution through fusion.

The two elemental spirits had undergone a series of transformations since they had also been affected by the blessings from the Shadow Queen.

Just like how the ancient saying said – ”All beings shall return to their root.” –

Since both the Shadow Elemental Spirits that he contracted with fall on the same lineage, the Ancient Shadow Powers lead them to the same path, which then leads them to eventual fusion.

In the end, the life rating of this fused elemental spirit rivaled that of Hanzo, who was Shinʼs Void Reaper and also an Ancient Void Spirit.

They had become an Ancient Shadow Spirit after their fusion process, which was completed and reached its maturity during the time that he was currently offline and undergoing a series of tests and a recovery process in the real world.

ʼShadow Equip Possession: (Ancient Shadow Spirit) Gemina Umbraʼ

This Ancient Shadow Spirit had fused with the dagger in his right hand, which underwent a series of mutations.

The dagger hand transformed into a pitch-black dagger that was a little over three fingers long. The blade was engraved with archaic, mysterious runes in gold, which pulsed with subtle light from time to time.

The flickering light was cold and dark, which seemed to be capable of shaking oneʼs soul. This flickering light was also creating an illusion that made it look like a pair of daggers rather than one when other people looked at it.

It was like a pair of venomous fangs of a dark viper that was eyeing its prey from the depths of darkness, which was shrouding it.

On the other hand, the other Shadow Elemental Spirit that he contracted with was an Abomination Elemental Spirit, similar to Grimrace, Shinʼs Shadow Reaper, and previously an Abomination Shadow Spirit before its series of evolution.

The two might have shared a similar root, but their path of evolution was different.

Grimrace was born from a regular Shadow Elemental Spirit, which was constantly being exposed to the dark and tainted mana of the Corrupted Cult, corrupting him and turning him into an Abomination that possessed psychic powers.

He then underwent a series of evolutions after following Shin and had now become an Eldritch Psychic Spirit.

In the meantime, the Abomination Shadow Spirit that Diablo contracted with was a demonified elemental spirit, which was a product of fusing a demonic creature and a regular shadow spirit.

It was yet another abomination from the Elemental Beings.

It was a product that Diablo had gotten from Lucifer after accumulating a lot of merits for the organization.

He was not sure where Lucifer had gotten it, but it was indeed an extremely powerful Abomination Elemental Spirit.

Diablo was not fond of using it due to its connection with the Pandemonium Descendants, which reminded him of the unpleasant memories.

However, he could not fully disregard it since it was truly a powerful card under his sleeve.

Aside from this, using this particular abomination spirit would also expose him to the demonic powers that he wanted to throw away, sealed through special means.

This would then turn him back into the demonic player he used to be, aligning him with them.

Such a situation would put him in an extremely fickle position, forcing him to become a player from the Evil Faction once again.

Once it happened, roaming around was going to be extremely difficult for him since he would be constantly targeted by everyone.

Fortunately, Diablo found a solution for this.

He would utilize the blessings that he had gotten from the Ancient Queen of the Shadows to transform the demonic powers within him into another form of High-Level Mana.

The Ancient Shadow Powers that he possessed were a bane for demonic powers to a certain extent since the Shadow Queen was one of the mortal enemies of the Devil Ancestor, who was a primogenitor of all Dark and Evil Races.

Through this method, his demonic powers were purified and turned into what he called the ʼSanctified Demonic Powers,ʼ which was a new form of mana and something unique to him.

Along with the Ancient Shadow Powers that he already possessed, he was now capable of using dual energies when utilizing his unique Mana Manipulation Method. This was also a signature feature for those at the top of the god-level players.

With the help of these newly found powers, he was not afraid of using the elemental possession meant for his demonic abomination spirit without restraint.

Swoosh!

ʼShadow Equip Possession: (Demonic Abomination Spirit) Diaboli Umbraʼ

Under the possession, the stiletto that he was holding in his left hand transformed just like the dagger in his right hand.

However, it was not as drastic as the previous transformation.

An eerie and terrifying sequence of runes filled the needle-like blade of the stiletto, like a demonic centipede crawling and coiling around it.

There was also crimson gold mana engulfing the stiletto, making it look like a small pike with a mixture of sacred and demonic aura covering it.

The transformation of his stiletto might look rather ordinary when compared to the dagger in his right hand, but the true effects of this possession were its effects on his body.

Previously, he was a player with a Transcendent Race, the Underworld Elf.

He was no ordinary Transcendent Race either, since he carried a demonic power before, which made him a demonic player to a certain extent.

However, unlike the current demonic players, his situation was a bit different. After all, he did not possess a Demonic Transformation Skill or have any contract with a powerful Noble Demon or an Ancient Demon, which was why his connection with them was not that deep.

This was also the reason his situation was quite redeemable compared to other demonic players, and why it was easier to purify his demonic powers with the help of the blessings of the Ancient Queen of the Shadows.

Going by this, he was able to gain another form alongside the unique Elemental Spirit Possessions that he currently had.

With the help of the two possessions of his weapons and the unique Mana Manipulation Technique he had on top of the mature form of his Celestial Shadow Art, he gained a whole different power.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

The two energies covering his weapons, the Ancient Shadow Powers and the Sanctified Demonic Powers, flowed through his arms before spreading throughout his body.

Not long after, a scale-like shadow armor covered his body along with a pair of demonic horns sticking out of his forehead – one was crimson gold while the other was black gold.

This was his version of dual possession.

Along with the Divine War Robe that he summoned earlier, his current appearance did not lose to Shin when he entered that multiple Elemental Possession.

…

Right after entering this state, Diablo had also entered his combat state, which was a unique version of Hyperactive Immersion.

It had been a while since he had fought with worthy opponents, ever since the United Cup had ended, so he was somewhat excited right now, especially after his overall transformation even in the Real World.

He originally wanted to try it against Dragulia previously. Unfortunately, the situation was quite urgent at that time.

Moreover, he was getting an extremely ominous feeling coming from Dragulia, which somehow restrained the powers that he currently had.

He was not sure what it was, which somewhat restrained him from using these powers against that Arch Heretic of the Demonic Church of Terror.

However, his good guess was about the Demonic Powers of Terror that had been granted to them by the ʼGodʼ of their demonic church – the powers that were a mixture of the Demonic and Draconic Powers.

Facing these two before him was a good chance to test if his earlier feeling was right. After all, these two were from the Demonic Church of Terror, so their demonic powers were most likely from the same root.

…

On the other hand, Zeal and Ardent could not help but wear a grim expression, especially after sensing an extremely heavy pressure coming from the opposing party.

Fully understanding their current situation, they immediately entered their respective Demonic Transformations.

Boom! Boom!

Their respective auras immediately entered an extremely powerful state, dominating the entire platform.

However, this was still far from being enough to match Diabloʼs current pressure, which was why they had also summoned their respective Demon Contracts to further enhance their strength.
