Child of Destiny

Chapter 2173: Titan Guildʼs Gods of the Sea (Part 2)

...

Seeing the opposing party, Leviathan could not help but smirk. ”Do you think that you will be able to defeat me just because you are using a sealed legendary weapon? Naïve.”

Right after, he suddenly swung his arms, releasing a bunch of invisible strings that attached themselves to the group of sweepers underneath him.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Immediately after, the aura that the group had suddenly grew incredibly high, seemingly turning them into a bunch of Lord Rank Monsters.

Roar! Roar! Roar!

These demonic players then released an eerie and deafening roar before charging forward.

Leviathan, who was standing on the branch, moved his fingers as if he were controlling a group of puppets all at once.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

In response to this, Poseidon, who was standing at the forefront of their group, suddenly raised the divine trident in his hands before slamming its butt into the ground.

Boom!

Immediately after, a flood of water gushed out from the bottom of the trident and suddenly spread into the surroundings.

Whoosh!

Everyone was suddenly submerged by the sudden flood, even reaching quite a high level that of the surrounding trees.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The incoming demonic players were also swallowed by this flood, making them unable to fight back due to the powerful current.

”Go!”

It was at this moment that Poseidon gave his orders to his people, who immediately jumped into action.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

They swam alongside the current, charging straight to the demonic players, who were still unable to regain their footing.

Leviathan slightly raised his brows when he saw the sudden appearance of the flood. But he was not that surprised about it since he knew that something like this would happen.

Given the wide information network of the Pandemonium Descendants, they had quite a lot of legendary weapons recorded in their archives.

The divine trident in Poseidonʼs hands was called the ʼTide Callerʼ, which was a legendary weapon used by a certain hero of the ancient era.

There was also a legend about it being a weapon bestowed upon the hero of the sea by the Deity of the Seven Seas, making them the guardian of the Ocean Race.

Leviathan was not sure how Poseidon and the Titan Guild had managed to find this legendary weapon, but he knew that such a weapon would give them some trouble.

Fortunately, he was expecting this to happen. After all, they also had legendary items in their possession, albeit being in a sealed state.

Moreover, the sweepers under his command were also experts in terms of aquatic battle. After all, the Great Demon King that he had contracted with was once a ruler of the Seven Seas and the lord of all the aquatic monsters. It was only natural that he possessed the abilities to rule over the sea.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Under his command, the demonic players that were swept by the flood immediately adjusted themselves while their respective appearances underwent some changes.

Scales appeared on the surface of their bodies while fins grew from their ears, back, and arms, and gills also grew out of their neck, seemingly turning them into oceanic creatures.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Immediately after, the two sides clashed within the flood, creating a series of explosions in every collision and sending huge torrents into the air.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Poseidon was riding the tides while glaring at Leviathan, who was still leisurely standing on the tree branch since earlier.

Seeing this, Leviathan smirked before saying provokingly. ”It is quite good that you can produce such an environment where you can showcase your powers properly. But can your Mana Pool keep up with its consumption?”

This flood might be powerful, creating an ideal environment where an aquatic race could properly showcase their powers. But such a skill would most likely require a huge amount of Mana to supply its consumption and maintain its appearance.

Once Poseidon had run out of mana, this flood would also disappear.

”What if I force you to consume more mana in the process? I wonder how much you can Mana Pool withstand,” he added before suddenly tossing a bunch of ice figurines in the air.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Not long after, these ice figurines turned into a group of ice puppets that carried a great resemblance to Ocean Nagas.

They also wielded a variety of polearm weapons while emitting a terrifying icy aura that even the rushing tide could not turn into ice.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Right after landing on the solidified surface of the flood, these ice puppets immediately started sprinting toward Poseidon, seemingly running through the surface of the water.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Sensing the individual powers that these ice puppets had, Poseidon slightly raised his brows before tapping the bottom of his trident onto the surface of the water.

Bang!

Immediately after, the violent tides moved, summoning an array of water spears in the air before suddenly rushing toward the incoming ice puppets.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The collision between the two immediately erupted, where Poseidon continuously bombarded the ice puppets with his water magic while the opposing side continued to produce more puppets to put more pressure on him.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The collision between the two sides continued for quite a while, indicating that they had expended quite a lot of mana in the process.

Adding that Poseidon was constantly supplying a portion of his mana into the flood, his Mana was greatly drained in the process.

Seeing this from the tree branch in the distance, Felix could not help but ask. ”Are we not going to lend him a hand? It seems like it is in an unfavorable position.”

Njord, who was standing on a nearby branch, shook his head. ”There is no need for that. Do you think that a highly ranked Godlike Player will only amount to this much?”

”Donʼt underestimate those monsters by regular standards. Those two are just testing the waters, understanding that the opposing side is hiding something,” he added while turning his gaze toward Leviathan.

They were quite familiar with a few members of the Pandemonium Troupe since they had clashed against them multiple times already.

There was also a bunch of information posted on the Secret Playerʼs Portal, where there were multiple discussions among them.

Of course, this secret portal was not limited only to players from the Righteous Churches, but also to those players from the Evil Faction. After all, it was a portal meant to exchange information and discuss anything so long as everyone was interested in it.

In a sense, it was a secret forum page meant only for the top experts of the game. Mortal Enemies, Archrivals, and Allies lingered in this secret portal together.

Of course, there were also sub-channels on this portal, where the players and their allies could chat and discuss safely without worrying about their enemies or rivals.

Just like how Zero had revealed to everyone the existence of the Pandemonium Descendants before they could even make themselves known to the world.

Recently, the secret forum was being flooded by a bunch of Powerhouses who just joined the game.

Adding that the overall structure of the top guilds and huge organizations within the game was constantly being reconstructed due to the most recent update, the situation was getting quite odd.

Njord understood why they had sent him to this place alongside Poseidon. However, he also heard a hidden conjecture from the words that the three leaders of the Titan Guild said to them before leaving.

Zeus, Odin, and Indra were the three great leaders who had founded the Titan Guild, were working under different organizations in the real world. This was also the reason why the guild was divided into three factions rather than a united guild.

However, all these organizations were close allies even within the real world, so there was not much conflict when it came to their interests.

A minor competition was required to make such a guild grow, so they also let these internal factions exist as a form of internal competition.

Recently, some odd orders came from the higher-ups of these organizations. It seemed like they were encouraging the guild members to constantly clash against all other organizations and guilds within the game while also looking for something.

They were not sure what this ʼsomethingʼ was, but they knew that it was some sort of inheritance hidden within the game.

As key figures within the guild, it was only natural for them to learn a thing or two about the secrets of this game, which were later fully revealed to them when they broke through the Ethereal Opening Stage and the peak of Grandmaster Realm in the respective disciplines.

This was the reason why multiple organizations in the real world had gotten involved in the game, where little geniuses were supposed to train themselves.

Thus, the great hunt for these legacies had started within the game.

However, recently, there seemed to be more orders that put even the great leaders of the game under great pressure.

They all seemed to have been asked to look for a certain ʼrealmʼ among all the secret realms and outer realms that would be released in this most recent update.

The guild leaders and organization heads did not even know what exactly they were looking for, but the higher-ups seemed to be crazy about it.

Zeus, Odin, and Indra had thought that it must be some sort of legacy of an extremely powerful expert, or at least a heaven-defying treasure that could make even the top Powerhouses in the real world crazy.

Given that such orders were given to them, it was not too hard to imagine that the other top guilds and huge organizations within the game would receive a similar order as well.

”Just what kind of secret realm is it that even those old foxes are acting out of their minds,” mumbled Njord while squinting his eyes and staring at Leviathan.

Among the orders that had been given to them, there was also a warning, telling them to be wary of three secret organizations within the game.

The Pandemonium Troupe was also listed in it, making even the Titan Guild quite wary of them.
