Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 954: Chapter 352: No Need to Rush the Breakthrough, Intimacy, and Yu Yao’s Little Scheme

”The Xiong Wu Army and the Beizhao Army can be expanded by one more unit without concern!”

Xia Yuyao had only been taken away for less than half an hour when Xia Hong returned to Xia City.

In the Political Hall, hearing Xia Chuan say that it was ultimately Xia Yuyao who helped him resolve the issue of to whom to allocate the spot, Xia Hong shook his head and chuckled lightly, knowing in his heart it was not true.

However, thinking that Great Xia now already has eleven armies, with the foreseeable future likely to see even faster military expansion, Xia Hong thought to himself, ”I need to remind Yuwen Dao that the Military Department must begin designing other methods for increasing troop numbers.”

The regulation of one thousand men per army corresponds to the lack of numbers at the limit of the Earth-digging Realm. But as the population at the limit of the Earth-digging Realm increases, it can no longer be so rigidly adhered to.

Soon, there will be contact with the Nine Towns, and more preparations should be made for larger-scale army designations. Large-scale corps operations are completely different from small troops operations, requiring a lot of time for soldiers and commanders to adapt and practice.

However, this matter is under the jurisdiction of the Military Department, so it’s necessary to speak to Yuwen Dao about it. Just as it happens, I’ll be heading to Long Mountain in two days, so Xia Hong didn’t rush to discuss it with Xia Chuan but instead solemnly brought up the recent incident with the Sumeru Monster.

”The Sumeru Monster, neither rising nor descending, and all the Cold Beasts in Arrow Bamboo Forest...”

Upon hearing Xia Hong’s shocking experience, Xia Chuan’s face naturally showed continuous shock, and his heart was full of fright, but he quickly came to his senses and solemnly said, ”We need to quickly notify Lu Yang and the others that people cannot descend directly from the mountain wall in the future but must use the underpass; also, the eastern end of Arrow Bamboo Forest cannot be casually approached by the Hunting Team. If even big brother has fallen into trouble, anyone else encountering it would undoubtedly perish.”

Xia Hong rushed back precisely to say this. Seeing Xia Chuan understand so quickly, he naturally showed a hint of satisfaction on his face, then thought of something and studied Xia Chuan intently for a moment before smiling and saying, ”Twenty-seven manes, I remember you broke through to the late-stage Cold Resistance Level at the beginning of June, right? In just over three months, your strength has increased by nearly three manes, not bad!”

Hearing Xia Hong mention his cultivation, Xia Chuan initially showed a smile, but soon shook his head and said, ”Big brother praises too early. I’ve sensed that after breaking through to the late-stage Cold Resistance Level, my cultivation speed is rapidly declining. Just looking at the pace of my cultivation in the Martial Arts Pavilion since early September, breaking through to the peak of Cold Resistance Level will take at least two years.”

It probably will take more than two years!

Xia Hong, with his prior experience, immediately shook his head upon hearing Xia Chuan’s estimate.

The cultivation speed at the late-stage of Cold Resistance will increasingly slow down, and the required Dan Medicine will also increase. Compared to Xia Hong at his late-stage Cold Resistance Level, Xia Chuan’s current cultivation speed is considered quick.

But it’s normal. Xia Chuan’s War Body started at six manes, so the cultivation progress at the Cold Resistance level is naturally faster.

”It’s a pity the Lotus Platform can’t be used by others; otherwise, Xuanling and Xia Chuan’s cultivation speed could be even faster.”

Xia Hong shook his head, thinking he was being a bit greedy.

With the Martial Arts Pavilion’s threefold training enhancement, it’s already considered a dimensional reduction strike for other camps in the Ice Abyss. If the Lotus Platform’s fivefold enhancement could be freely used by others, that would indeed be too excessive.

The Lotus Platform is different from the primary structure; it clearly has some special connection with its host, and the resources consumed during use can only be deducted from the system, not real resources, which is probably why it cannot be used by others.

Seeing Xia Chuan with furrowed eyebrows, knowing his eagerness to increase strength, Xia Hong immediately shook his head and said, ”No need to rush, the slower you breakthrough, the better!”

The slower the breakthrough, the better?

Xia Chuan’s expression froze, his face full of confusion.

”After breaking through to the peak of Cold Resistance Level, there are ways to continue enhancing strength. I learned about it during my visit to Beishuo...”

Xia Hong shared all the information he had gathered from Zhu Yang.

Methods to further broaden meridians after reaching the peak of Cold Resistance Level, the three Spirit Pills—Tiger Force, Dragon Carp, Green Cod—and the Twelve Blood Scripture Skills from Muyin Town...

Upon hearing this, Xia Chuan’s expression immediately became excited.

The War Body at the Cold Resistance Level is truly an object of both love and hate.

On one hand, it can enhance your power limit, allowing you to gain much greater strength than typical Cold Resistance Level; but on the other hand, depending on the level of the War Body, it restricts your power limit, making your combat strength always lag behind those with a higher-level War Body than yours.

Basic strength isn’t entirely equivalent to combat power, but it accounts for at least over sixty percent of the factor.

In instances where strength is measured in manes at the Cold Resistance Level, even a difference of one mane equates to a disparity of a hundred thousand pounds, making the War Body level even more crucial.

Today, the number of Cold Resistance Level individuals in Great Xia has exceeded five thousand.

Xia Hong provided a thoroughly clear explanation of the upper limit data for strength after breaking through the four grades of extreme, upper, middle, and lower Battle Bodies within Xia Li’s Refining Chapter, so everyone is well aware of the importance of Battle Body Talent.

Those who break through the Cold Resistance Level with a basic strength of three manes or more qualify as top-grade Battle Bodies, and currently, there are only four such people in Great Xia: Xia Hong, Li Xuanling, Yuwen Dao, and Xia Chuan himself.

Despite having top-grade Battle Body Talent, Xia Chuan should feel content, but he knows well how high his big brother and sister-in-law’s talents are.

One has nine manes, and the other has eight and a half, both far exceeding his own.

Over the years, Xia Hong’s pace of strength improvement has become increasingly rapid, to the point where he is practically unrivaled in Great Xia. Xia Chuan has been worried, concerned that his own strength will fall too far behind, to the point where one day he can no longer be of any use to Xia Hong.
