Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 952: Chapter 351: Lu Yang’s Plan, Upheaval in Xia City, Sumeru Nightmare, His Highness’s Golden Words_6

Xia Hong took a deep breath and turned to look at the Arrow Bamboo Forest, lost in thought.

”However, these Cold Beasts can’t let the Sumeru Monster continue to absorb them anymore. Hundreds of Beast Kings are terrifying enough, if it continues to absorb them, who knows what kind of monster might be nurtured.”

This time, Xia Chuan and the Six Armies have already experimented with resolving the beast tide that occurs every four months in the Arrow Bamboo Forest, and there isn’t much of an issue.

Since that’s the case, the beast tide has to be managed from now on.

Only after finding out the reason why those Cold Beasts escaped from Redwood Ridge can this matter be completely resolved.

”It’s September 12th, the army needs to rest in Mirror Valley for two more days. Two days later, they will set out for Long Mountain, and I have to return to Xia City to prepare.”

On the night of September 9th, he arranged for the Six Armies to rest in Mirror Valley for five days, and after five days, Yuwen Dao would lead them to Long Mountain. Calculating, the time is about right.

This time, going to Long Mountain is about the silver mine. After the battles in Sumeru Space, dealing with those few Beast Kings entrenched at the silver mine, Xia Hong naturally feels no pressure.

However, he still wants to return to Xia City once to see his two children.

Just now, the illusion created by that Sumeru Monster was indeed a bit creepy.

.........

Great Xia Inner City, top floor of the main building, Political Hall

An intense argument is unfolding inside the hall.

The two arguing are Meng Yi, the Camp Supply and Military Equipment Head and also the Heroic Martial Team Captain, and Hou Jing, the Hunting Department Deputy Director, who also serves as the Beizhao Squad Captain.

”Vice Director Hou, the Beizhao Squad has only been established for over four years. I admit the strength is indeed good, but it’s a fact that they’re inexperienced in Great Xia, so it shouldn’t be their turn for the Tenth Army.”

”Meng Military Equipment, you are wrong. Since it’s about building the army to enhance camp combat power, of course it should be based on strength. My Beizhao Squad currently has twenty-eight Cold Resistance Level members. Even if Hou Tong leads twenty people to build an army, we still have eight left. Right now, there’s no advanced hunting team in the entire camp better suited than Beizhao for building the Tenth Army.”

”My Heroic Martial Team’s strength is not bad either, we currently have twenty-five Cold Resistance Level members. The key is that we were one of the first Hunting Teams established after the restructuring of the Six Ministries in Great Xia Year One, and we’ve been around for over six years now. In terms of qualifications, Vice Director Hou should be behind us.”

”That’s not how it goes, Meng Military Equipment. I’ve been loyal to the Lord since joining the camp in Great Xia Year Two. Although the Beizhao Squad wasn’t established as long as the Heroic Martial Team, the achievements it has made for Great Xia are not small, with the silver mine of Beimang Mountain and the two Cold Apple Trees...”

”No, no...”

Xia Chuan stands in the middle, listening to the argument between the two, shaking his head continually.

Three days ago, after returning to Xia City, he immediately notified the Military Department and issued the notice to prepare for the establishment of three new armies.

Great Xia is now waiting to build armies, there are just too many of them.

According to Xia Hong’s initial regulation, advanced hunting teams have the eligibility for army formation. If we still calculate this way, at least seven hundred squads now qualify.

So now the regulation has been raised a level, requiring the number of Cold Resistance Level members within the Hunting Team to exceed twenty.

Even with such a threshold, those meeting the conditions are still quite many.

Fortunately, many squads have self-awareness, knowing the army formation slots are not yet their turn, they wouldn’t come up to fight for it and get embarrassed.

The slots for the Eighth Army and Ninth Army are already out, allocated to Zhao Long and Yue Feng respectively, Falcon Hunting and Mountain River have both started the process of selecting soldiers.

What’s troubling Xia Chuan now is who should be given the Tenth Army.

Both Meng Yi and Hou Tong have intentions. Based on strength, it should be the Beizhao Squad, but considering emotional factors and qualifications, Meng Yi’s Heroic Martial Team obviously holds more qualifications.

After Hou Jing was promoted to Deputy Director of Hunting Department, he handed the head position of Beizhao Squad to Hou Tong, who currently has the second-highest strength in the Hou Family after him.

Hou Tong is now standing behind Hou Jing, knowing his words might not carry enough weight, so specifically sought Hou Jing to advocate for him.

Hou Jing’s thoughts, Xia Chuan probably understands them. Last year, under the joint efforts of Li Tiancheng and Li Xuanling, the Longyuan Squad grabbed the chance to establish the Seventh Army before Zhao Long, and since the group from Long Mountain is building an army, Zhaoyang naturally cannot fall behind.

As for Meng Yi, it’s easier to talk about. Among the group from Mirror Valley, Yuwen Dao, Hong Guang, and Hong Tian have all built armies, leaving only him and Zhu Yuan. Zhu Yuan currently serves as the Director of Civil Affairs Department and doesn’t seem particularly enthusiastic about army formation. So, counting it all, he’s the only one left without building an army and is unwilling to fall behind.

The argument between the two is still ongoing, Xia Chuan cannot make a decision for a long time and becomes irritable, eventually turning around to face away from the hall.

But after turning around for a while, a smile appeared on his face as he looked towards the high platform of the hall, behind the golden chair, and suddenly blinked.

”Hehehe...”

Xia Chuan blinked, and immediately from behind the chair came an innocent laughter.

A four or five-year-old little girl suddenly jumped out from behind the chair.

The little girl had three water-blue Holy Patterns on her forehead and wore a small silver crown decorated with Simurgh feathers. Just from the silver thread butterfly-shaped ornaments hanging from the crown on both sides, one could tell how exquisite the workmanship was.

The little girl was dressed in a pure white mini dress, the connections on the dress were all made of silver threads, and there were two intricately embroidered red Simurghs on the dress hem. Despite its small size, it exuded luxury and nobility everywhere.

”Ah, Uncle discovered me, Uncle discovered me...”
