Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

”Boss, it was my ignorance earlier. However you want to punish me, I’ll absolutely have no objections, as long as it lets you vent your anger, anything goes!”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile: ”What you said, didn’t I mention it earlier? We’re getting to know each other through this mishap.”

”Moreover, my girlfriend is participating in the TV station’s program this time and will need your care and support.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Xiran’s heart instantly warmed.

She knew Zhang Jingdong could have punished Qian Jiale severely but decided to let him off for her sake.

Qian Jiale quickly caught on and said, ”Boss, rest assured, I’ll take care of your girlfriend’s matters. I’ll make sure she shines brightly on stage.”

Zhang Jingdong glanced at Lin Xiran, then said, ”Alright, with what you’ve said, I’m relieved. I’ll leave this to you.”

”As long as you handle it well enough, further down the road, I’ll definitely reward you.”

Qian Jiale was a bit flattered: ”Please don’t say that, it’s what I should do!”

Zhang Jingdong nodded with satisfaction: ”Alright, let’s leave it at that for today. We’re off now, goodbye!”

”Goodbye, take care!”

Zhang Jingdong waved to them and then led the two beauties out of the hall.

Zhang Jingdong then turned to Lin Xiran: ”That situation earlier was too risky. Lin Xiran, next time something like this happens, you must notify me in advance. What if something happens?”

Lin Xiran felt touched yet joyful and obediently nodded: ”Mm.”

Zhang Jingdong suddenly stopped in his tracks: ”To make you remember this lesson, I must give you a small punishment, otherwise you might not remember next time.”

Lin Xiran instantly caught the meaning of his words, shyly pursing her lips: ”Alright, tell me, what’s the punishment?”

Zhang Jingdong then looked at Shu Ran: ”It’s not solely Xiran’s responsibility. As a teacher, you haven’t fully fulfilled your duties either, so you’ll also need to accept a bit of punishment. Do you accept?”

Although Shu Ran felt slightly innocent, given Zhang Jingdong’s imposing presence in the hall earlier, she naturally nodded: ”Alright, I accept the punishment, tell me, what is it?”

Seeing both of them agree, Zhang Jingdong immediately said: ”My punishment is quite simple. It’s to have you accompany me to watch a movie.”

”Watching a movie?”

Shu Ran was a bit surprised, mainly because she didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong’s punishment to be so mild.

But Lin Xiran beside her knew what was going on, and her already slightly flushed face turned completely red.

Zhang Jingdong said with meaningful eyes: ”That’s right, just watching a movie. How about this for a romantic punishment?”

Shu Ran smiled gently: ”This is really romantic. Let’s go!”

Soon, the three arrived at the parking lot. Shu Ran got into her white Land Rover, while Zhang Jingdong and Lin Xiran got into his black Land Rover.

Not long after, two Land Rovers drove out of the school one after the other.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at Zhang Jingdong’s private cinema.

Shu Ran then finally noticed something amiss: ”Weren’t we going to watch a movie? This... is this a cinema?”

Zhang Jingdong laughed: ”Of course, it’s a cinema. A private cinema is still a cinema. Plus, in terms of equipment or privacy, this is much better than those outside!”

Shu Ran pursed her lips: ”Alright.”

Zhang Jingdong led them into the cinema.

However, he didn’t take them to the hall where he used to watch movies with Lin Shishi but brought them to a small hall on the second floor.

Zhang Jingdong then asked: ”Feel free to say what movie you want to watch; I’ve got them all!”

Lin Xiran resisted her shyness: ”I...Anything is fine.”

Shu Ran paused for a moment, then said: ”I’m okay with anything as long as it’s not a horror movie.”

Zhang Jingdong was amused: ”Alright, since you don’t have any opinions, I’ll play a romantic love film for you.”

”Okay.”

Zhang Jingdong immediately got up, went over and operated something, then returned to them.

”This movie is called ’French Stewardess,’ a film about women’s awakening and pursuit of freedom.”

Shu Ran thought for a moment and said: ”Is that so? I’ve watched quite a few Western films before, especially European ones, like ’Roman Holiday,’ and ’Before Sunrise.’ I’ve never seen this film, not even heard of it.”

Zhang Jingdong said solemnly: ”European films are like that. If you carefully select, you might not find something good, but if you watch aimlessly, you’ll find out that European films are actually pretty good.”

”Although most have weak narratives, the atmosphere and scope are quite remarkable.”

After listening, Shu Ran felt a vague sense of discrepancy but couldn’t pinpoint where it was.

At this point, the movie started playing on the screen.

Right from the opening, the movie followed the general style of European films, and Shu Ran soon immersed herself.

Lin Xiran also hadn’t expected Zhang Jingdong to genuinely bring them to watch a movie. Though slightly surprised, she started to watch attentively.

Seeing both of them watching so intently, Zhang Jingdong was delighted, then began watching it as a romance film.

At this moment, the husband’s female passenger quietly came to the workspace, exchanging looks with the French stewardess...

Even at this moment, Shu Ran initially didn’t notice anything wrong. After all, Europeans have always been outgoing, and their films are very much like...
