Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Ye Jinyan pursed her lips, ”Alright, to be honest, I really have a good feeling about this project.”

”Firstly, I think Chen Tianqiao’s idea is excellent. He wants to create a Shengda Box and then link movies, music, games, advertisements, and other projects together to form a massive entertainment platform.”

”Once this platform is built, people will not only be able to watch theatrical movies at home through it, but they can also shop online while watching TV and play games on the TV. Its future commercial prospects are limitless.”

”I even think this idea is not at all inferior to the Taobao Website; perhaps even Taobao Website will settle on this platform at that time.”

Zhang Jingdong said, ”But do you know how many fields, how many projects, and how much money it will take to build this platform?”

Ye Jinyan said naturally, ”I know this project will be very, very expensive. To be honest, if someone else initiated this project, I wouldn’t decide to participate so quickly.”

”It’s precisely because the project initiator is Chen Tianqiao, the newly crowned richest person in Huaxia, I feel he has the strength and ability to accomplish it, so I plan to invest in this project.”

Zhang Jingdong felt Ye Jinyan was a bit carried away at the moment; if he immediately countered her, she might not listen.

So he turned to Guan Le, ”Ms. Guan, what do you think?”

Guan Le paused for a moment and said, ”I actually don’t hold this project in high esteem either. On one hand, as you just said, the resources and investment required for this project are enormous.”

”On the other hand, I’ve previously done some research on Shengda Network Company and Chen Tianqiao himself. I feel that neither Chen Tianqiao himself nor their current company capabilities can support such a large project.”

Ye Jinyan glanced at Guan Le sideways, ”Now you two are ganging up, but every company is constantly developing; you can’t judge their future prospects with today’s perspective.”

”Take Ali, for instance; a few years ago, they were just an inconspicuous network company. But after having the Taobao Website and especially after receiving investment from Sun Zhengyi, they soon gained the momentum to become a giant company.”

”Furthermore, Shengda Network Company is currently almost the best game company domestically, and their revenues have skyrocketed continuously over the past few years.”

”The last point is, I truly hold high expectations for the project itself, so I am determined to give it a try.”

Zhang Jingdong saw her determination and immediately loosened the two of them, went to the wine cabinet, and fetched a bottle of red wine and three wine glasses.

He sat on the sofa, skillfully opened the wine, and poured into the three glasses.

Seeing this, Ye Jinyan and Guan Le immediately sat next to him from left and right.

Zhang Jingdong raised his glass towards the two, and Ye Jinyan and Guan Le then picked up their glasses in turn.

The three clinked glasses and each took a sip.

At this point, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Let’s thoroughly analyze this project now. Firstly, this project is actually two projects; one is the hardware project of the box itself, and the other is the software project within the box.”

”Let’s talk about the hardware first. Do you know how big the box will be once they succeed?”

Ye Jinyan quickly recalled and then said, ”It should be as big as a computer.”

”Then what will its price be at that time?”

”Between 6000 and 10,000.”

Zhang Jingdong patiently said, ”Since this box will have so many functions, it needs to serve as both a computer and a TV in each family’s living room. Currently, a decent TV costs two to three thousand yuan, and a decent computer is three to four thousand yuan.”

”That means people will need to spend the money to buy both a computer and a TV to buy something like a computer.”

At this time, Ye Jinyan was a bit at a loss for words, but she quickly thought of something, ”In terms of price, it’s indeed like that. However, Shengda Box will not only provide content that ordinary TVs and computers don’t have, it will also offer a lot of content not available on TV or the internet, such as a vast array of movies and games along with exclusive member content produced by their entertainment company.”

Zhang Jingdong smirked, ”That brings us to the software in this box. So now I’d like to ask a question. Since Shengda Box can access the internet and watch TV, it involves a key issue. Our Huaxia’s traditional broadcasting system, the television content industry, is still a huge pie. Once Shengda Box succeeds, it means that pie will belong solely to Shengda Network Company. Do you think those TV stations will agree?”

Ye Jinyan was stunned after hearing this.

Although to most people, what Zhang Jingdong said might not seem like much, Ye Jinyan perceived the immense resistance within.

Indeed, Shengda Network Company can produce all kinds of exclusive content. But once Shengda Box succeeds, as Zhang Jingdong said, the traditional broadcasting industry will suffer huge losses.

The most critical thing is that behind those in the broadcasting industry stands the massive Broadcasting Administration, which wields significant power.

In short, the Shengda Box project is akin to a child trying to snatch a pie from an adult, and behind that adult stands a towering bodyguard immune to criminal charges.
