Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 893: Chapter 366: Making Her Completely Submit With Strength!

Zhang Jingdong and Ye Jinyan chatted a bit more with Ma Yun and the others, then followed them to the company’s large conference room.

After some opening words, Ye Jinyan directly said, ”President Ma, over the past couple of days we have basically reached a consensus on other issues, but today we invited Mr. Zhang over because we still want to discuss our final investment amount and shareholding issues.”

Ma Yun interlaced his fingers and said solemnly, ”Mr. Ye, I’ve already mentioned this to you before, 15% equity is our final bottom line, mainly because we don’t actually need that much money at this stage.”

Ye Jinyan persisted, ”But now that the internet bubble has just passed, and your company’s various businesses are rapidly developing, having more money on account can only be advantageous, not harmful.”

Ma Yun shook his head with a smile, ”Mr. Ye, sometimes having more money isn’t necessarily a good thing; it can disturb people’s minds.”

”Besides, our company’s profitability is also growing rapidly, and in at most one to two years, we’ll be able to expand our business with the money we earn ourselves.”

Ye Jinyan had actually said similar things to Ma Yun yesterday, and Ma Yun gave similar responses, so Ye Jinyan now found herself completely at a loss with Ma Yun.

So she turned to look at Zhang Jingdong.

Zhang Jingdong nodded towards her but didn’t speak immediately; instead, he carefully took a sip from his teacup in front of him.

After savoring it for a while, he exaggeratedly praised, ”Tsk tsk, you can only truly taste the essence of Longjing tea here in Hang City!”

Ma Yun and the others were taken aback when they saw Zhang Jingdong hadn’t started the serious talk immediately but instead mentioned tea.

However, they didn’t perceive Zhang Jingdong as lacking seriousness or being indulgent; instead, they all felt a heightened sense of vigilance.

Because Zhang Jingdong’s demeanor was simply too calm, the kind of calm that suggests everything is under control.

Ma Yun forced himself to stay calm, saying, ”Just as a region’s water and soil nurture its people, so is the case with tea.”

”West Lake Longjing grows in West Lake Longjing Village, and during its growth, it not only absorbs the nutrients from the soil here, but even the formation of its final flavor is related to the air here.”

”That’s why drinking Longjing in Hang City offers an authentic taste.”

Zhang Jingdong nodded in agreement, ”President Ma, as expected from a Hang City native, what you said makes a lot of sense!”

Ma Yun’s eyes flashed with a hint of pride, ”Mr. Zhang, you flatter me.”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong put down his teacup and suddenly switched topics, ”President Ma, how long do you plan to take to eliminate eBay?”

These words left Ma Yun and his team completely stunned!

Because although in the previous generation they did manage to eliminate eBay, eBay is currently still the undisputed leader among domestic e-commerce sites. Just last year, people still said Taobao challenging eBay was like an ant fighting an elephant.

So despite Ma Yun and his team being ambitious, they still had no confidence in eliminating eBay and were still in a challenger’s mindset.

However, Ma Yun, being the person he is, paused for a moment and boldly said, ”Although the overall situation right now is still in eBay’s favor, we are confident that we will surpass them in the near future.”

”As for the specific time... at most five years!”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile, ”President Ma, you’re underestimating your own abilities!”

”In my view, as long as you strictly implement three strategies, you will undoubtedly be able to completely eliminate eBay.”

”First, continue with the free strategy. eBay, after all, is a foreign-controlled company whose owners know nothing about Huaxia’s internet users.”

”Given the current situation, people haven’t quite figured out what online selling is all about, and you’re already asking them to pay store fees, product listing fees, showcase fees, transaction fees, isn’t that nonsense?”

”Merely using the free strategy, you could win the support of a large number of sellers, and once you have these sellers, you’ll naturally have a vast number of buyers, which is precisely eBay’s weak spot.”

”Second, adopt the classic strategy from the instructor, surrounding the cities from the countryside.”

”eBay, with its deep pockets, has bought the best ad spots on major sites like Sina and Baidu, so you should seek out smaller sites and collaborate with their webmasters. The traffic accumulated through the long-tail effect would definitely rival eBay’s.”

”Third, fully enhance the product experience.”

”On this point, I really appreciate your launch of Wangwang and Alipay, because people are currently afraid of being cheated online, but buyers and sellers communicating through Wangwang strengthens mutual trust, and Alipay effectively alleviates concerns about fund security for buyers and sellers.”

Though Zhang Jingdong maintained a gentle smile on his face, Ma Yun and his team all felt a chill creeping into their hearts.

Although Zhang Jingdong pointed out these three strategies, which were already broadly implemented, outsiders typically find it hard to know these strategies in detail.

But now, not only did Zhang Jingdong know, but he also accurately pointed out the details and functions of these three strategies.

At this moment, they felt as if they were standing naked before Zhang Jingdong.

Ye Jinyan naturally noticed this point.

To be honest, earlier in the elevator, she still had significant doubts about whether Zhang Jingdong could succeed in this negotiation.

But now...

Although the outcome is still far from clear, due to Zhang Jingdong’s calmness and his complete dominance in momentum over Ma Yun and his team, she is beginning to anticipate that this guy Zhang Jingdong might really bring her a surprise.
