Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 134: Chapter 113: Seeing Shu Ran Again (Long Chapter, Please Subscribe)_2

Could he be from another provincial team?

That shouldn’t be right either. With his level of skill, he could at least make it into the national second team, and I know most of those people!

This is way too strange!

So, unable to contain his curiosity, he asked, ”Buddy, which team are you from?”

Zhang Jingdong casually replied, ”I’m not professional, just an amateur having fun. I just had a good touch earlier, don’t mind it!”

After speaking, he turned and walked to the beautiful receptionist: ”Can I switch to a female coach now?”

The beautiful receptionist’s expression was both surprised and troubled.

Surprised because she really didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong to play badminton so well, and troubled because if Yang Xu, one of the best coaches they had, was defeated like that by Zhang Jingdong, then the other female coaches would surely suffer even more.

The only thought in her mind at this point was: This guy must be here to challenge us!

Thinking this, she blinked her beautiful eyes and said, ”Okay, please wait a moment!”

After speaking, she turned and left.

Soon Zhang Jingdong suddenly noticed that she actually went to the area where Shu Ran and her group were.

And afterward, she actually brought over the woman who had been chatting with Shu Ran earlier.

”Hello, I’m the owner of this place, my surname is Ye, I heard you just played against our Coach Yang and won 21:5, how about I have a match with you?”

Zhang Jingdong’s heart moved: ”Sure.”

Then Ye Sijing moved to the opposite half of the court, and the two started battling very quickly.

After only one rally, Zhang Jingdong realized Ye Sijing truly deserved to be the owner, although she was a woman, her strength was far beyond that of Coach Yang just now.

And Ye Sijing also realized that her beautiful receptionist had not exaggerated at all, the strength of this gentleman opposite her was indeed very strong, and he might even be more than a match for her.

As Zhang Jingdong deliberately hid his true skills further, the match ended in less than half an hour.

The game ended 21:17.

Ye Sijing gracefully said, ”You really are amazing, please wait a moment, I’ll find you a sparring partner that can match up to you better.”

After speaking, she walked away too.

And then, Zhang Jingdong suddenly realized she had actually returned to the same court and approached Shu Ran.

Zhang Jingdong was instantly bewildered.

Huh? Isn’t she a dance teacher? How come, from what Boss Ye just said, her badminton skills seem to be even stronger than Boss Ye’s?

The situation was actually like this: Before she turned 16, Shu Ran was professionally training in badminton while learning dance as a hobby.

At that time, her skills in badminton not only earned her a spot on the provincial team but also allowed her to participate in the national junior championships, where she ranked seventh.

However, that same year, she sustained a severe injury to her knee, and the doctors told her that even if she recovered, she could no longer participate in high-intensity training or she would risk paralysis.

Eventually, persuaded by her coach and parents, she reluctantly retired.

After her injury healed, she focused on dance, and thanks to her incredible athlete’s perseverance, she prepared for two years and was admitted to the Yanjing Dance Academy, and had been in this profession ever since.

However, in her heart, she always had a deep love for badminton, and over the years, she maintained a routine of playing three times a week.

Ye Sijing was her junior in the provincial team back in the day, although Shu Ran had retired earlier, the two had always maintained a good relationship.

Shu Ran often came to her gym to play, and sometimes when she was busy, she would take on a coaching role.

Ye Sijing came over, smiling, and said, ”Senior sister, you’ve always wanted to find a master to spar with, right? Today, one has come. He just played me to 21:17!”

Shu Ran hesitated: ”Did you let him win?”

”Really didn’t! Instead, I felt like he didn’t even use his full strength...”

”Hmm?” Shu Ran’s curiosity was piqued: ”Really? That’s quite rare, isn’t it?”

Ye Sijing then said, ”Senior sister, go and play a match with him, I’ve already set it up for you!”

At this point, Ye Sijing’s mouth curled up into a mischievous smile: ”Not only is he good at playing, but he’s also young and very handsome, what do you say, senior sister, am I generous?”

Shu Ran immediately gave her an eye roll: ”What are you talking about? I’m a mother of two, what’s on your mind all day long?”

Ye Sijing puckered her lips and said, ”So what? They allow men to watch pretty girls, but don’t allow us women to watch handsome guys? Besides, you’re not even married yet, you must learn to seize the opportunity!”

”What are you talking about? You just said he’s very young, look how old I am!”

Ye Sijing sighed, ”Sister, you really don’t know, do you? These days young handsome guys all like beautiful older women, especially someone as pretty and wealthy as you, loads of young studs dream of finding a multimillionaire sister like you!”

”The more you talk, the less sense you make. If you keep this up, I’m not going to chat with you anymore!”

”Alright, alright, I won’t talk about that stuff anymore, okay? So, are you going to play with him or not?”

Shu Ran paused for a moment, then replied, ”Alright, since you put it that way, I might as well go over and learn a thing or two.”

”That’s more like it, let’s go!”

As the two approached, Shu Ran was instantly stunned the moment she saw Zhang Jingdong.

”Zhang Jingdong... it’s actually you?”

Zhang Jingdong feigned surprise first: ”Teacher Shu... what a coincidence!”

Now it was Ye Sijing’s turn to be puzzled: ”Sister, you two... know each other?”

Finally, Shu Ran came back to her senses: ”Yes... we know each other!”

Then Zhang Jingdong said, ”I’ve taken Teacher Shu’s dance class, so I guess I’m her student.”

”Her student? Oh... so that’s how it is! What a coincidence!”

Shu Ran noticed the ”profound meaning” in Ye Sijing’s words and her face rarely showed a hint of redness: ”Yes, that’s right...”

Unexpectedly, at this moment, Ye Sijing interrupted her: ”Sister, it’s fine, you two play first, I have some things to deal with, I won’t disturb you guys!”

After saying that, Ye Sijing turned around and walked away.

Seeing this, Shu Ran knew Ye Sijing did it on purpose but ended up being misunderstood by her own junior sister anyway, feeling her face start to burn up.

But she didn’t want Zhang Jingdong to see it, so she took a deep breath, turned her head, and calmed herself before saying, ”I didn’t expect that in addition to being good at dancing, you’re also this formidable in badminton!”

”The Host has received praise from the target individual, reward 50,000 yuan!”

Zhang Jingdong returned the compliment: ”You’re the truly formidable one, not only a dance teacher but also capable of beating the owner of this place in badminton!”

Shu Ran pursed her lips: ”I used to train professionally in badminton, she was my junior in the provincial team, actually speaking overall, I’m not as good as she is.”

Zhang Jingdong did not let go: ”Well, even so, that’s quite impressive... In a match against me, you could definitely score over 10 points!”

Hearing the first part, Shu Ran intended to be modest again, but did not expect Zhang Jingdong to suddenly come up with the second part.

Caught off guard, she sighed, ”You’re really quite confident!”

Zhang Jingdong provoked her, ”Can’t help it, all my confidence comes from my own abilities, I’m actually not one to boast easily, but once I do, it means I’m truly outstanding in that area!”

After all, Shu Ran was a professional athlete back in the day and had a competitive streak, so on hearing this, she immediately responded, ”Fine, since you put it that way, I shall take the opportunity to learn from you!”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong completely cast aside the respectful demeanor of a student facing a teacher and treated her wholly as an opponent, carefree and smiling, ”Please!”

Shu Ran recognized this shift and took a long look at Zhang Jingdong before going over to the opposite court.

After a brief preparation, the two began their match.

There’s a saying that when you find a conversation with someone very enjoyable, it’s not because you are exceptional, but because the other person is.

Likewise, Zhang Jingdong, as a top expert, could also decide how much his opponent enjoyed the match by controlling the intensity of the game.

And of course, he wanted Shu Ran to enjoy playing badminton with him, and the best way to make someone enjoy playing with another person is to win by just a little bit each time.

Thus, the scores at the different stages of their match were 6:4, 10:7, 15:12, 21:18.

In the first game, Zhang Jingdong won by 3 points against Shu Ran.

At this point, Shu Ran’s face showed disbelief, mainly because she didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong to be so good!

Although she was modest verbally, she had never lost an amateur match these years, so even though Ye Sijing lost to Zhang Jingdong, Shu Ran didn’t expect to lose to him at all.

Zhang Jingdong saw her look of surprise and reluctance to accept defeat, struggled to hold back laughter, and then deliberately taunted, ”What’s wrong, not convinced? Shall we start another game?”

Shu Ran nodded immediately: ”Okay!”
