Zhang Jingdong chuckled inwardly, then approached Li Haifeng and helped him up.

”How about it, need me to send you to the hospital?”

Still gasping in pain, Li Haifeng waved his hand at Zhang Jingdong: ”... No need!”

Zhang Jingdong immediately gave him a thumbs-up: ”Not bad, a poor player but at least you don’t scam people, you’ve really got Teacher Ma’s style!”

”But we agreed to play fair, you won’t come to bother my girlfriend again, will you?”

Li Haifeng glanced at Lin Xirui and then nodded with difficulty: ”You won, she’s yours!”

”Bro, just for your willingness to admit defeat, I’ll definitely tell you first if she and I break up. Alright, we’re going to leave now, bye!”

With that, he waved his hand at Lin Xirui.

As soon as the two got in the car, Lin Xiran hurriedly asked, ”Sis, are you okay?”

”I’m fine, thanks to him... Thank you!”

”Host has received gratitude from the target person, reward 50,000 yuan!”

Zhang Jingdong grinned: ”Why so polite between us!”

Saying that, he started the car and quickly disappeared from the spot.

Lin Xirui felt that Zhang Jingdong’s ”between us” didn’t mean the relationship between him and her sister’s boyfriend, but rather the fake relationship he had pretended outside.

But since Lin Xiran was there, she didn’t question him and just shot him a side glance.

At that moment, Lin Xiran said, ”Sis, who was that guy just now?”

Lin Xirui sighed: ”I was trying to do some clothing business in my free time, so I went to Wenzhou Trade City to find suppliers, and then I met him.”

”Originally, I was negotiating business with him, but then he started pursuing me. I wasn’t interested, and I stopped taking his calls, so he found his way to the school!”

”But don’t worry, Zhang Jingdong has already taught him a lesson just now; he won’t dare bother me anymore!”

Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but interject: ”You were really careless, for business talks, just take his phone number; how could you give him your phone number the first time you met?”

Although she knew Zhang Jingdong was reminiscing, Lin Xirui felt an urge to retort upon hearing his tone: ”But when you first met us, Ranran also left you her phone number, didn’t she?”

Zhang Jingdong didn’t stutter at all and simply said: ”How can that be the same? I am obviously a courageous, kind, righteous, and upright young man of integrity.”

”Of course, Ranran gave me her contact information because she has good taste.”

”That guy just now is a downright scoundrel, your taste is seriously questionable!”

Lin Xirui immediately felt offended: ”Who are you calling bad taste? You’re no good guy either; when you hit on us initially, you must have had ulterior motives too.”

”Later on, it turned out true; not even a week passed before you got together with my sister behind my back! My sister fell for you because she’s gullible. Don’t get too full of yourself!”

”I’m not outstanding?”

Since they were idling, Zhang Jingdong was also happy to tease her: ”So who was it that just now overpowered and threw him to the ground in one move, ensuring he won’t dare bother you at school again?”

”Besides, ask your sister, singing, dancing, what don’t I know, what am I not good at! Plus, I have a company, I look good, and I have money; you dare say I’m not outstanding... Ah, if only your taste was better!”

Lin Xirui suddenly found herself at a loss for words. Mainly because what Zhang Jingdong had said was true.

But she didn’t want to give in, so she looked around and then asked: ”Where’s your sports car, why did you switch to this one? Don’t tell me your sports car was rented?”

Zhang Jingdong laughed and shook his head: ”That’s why they say you’re still a naive university student. Don’t you know that we rich folks have at least five cars?”

”That sports car is for romantic drives with Ranran. To pick you up, I could only use this car!”

”You...”

Lin Xirui glared at him fiercely: ”Keep bragging then, five cars indeed, this car of yours is brand new, isn’t it? The license plate isn’t even on yet!”

”Just now you also said you have a 9-million villa, huh... Sure, trick my sister, but you think you can deceive me?”

Zhang Jingdong sighed: ”Alright, since you don’t believe me, after we sign the contract at the company, I’ll take you to my villa for a tour, let you see the world!”

Twenty minutes later, the three arrived at the company.

In the office.

Zhang Jingdong handed the contract to Lin Xirui with a teasing tone: ”Check it carefully, don’t let me cheat you!”

Lin Xirui gave him a glare, took the contract, and started reading it earnestly.

Meanwhile, Zhang Jingdong sat on the sofa opposite, playing with Lin Xiran’s hair.

With affection, he said, ”My dear, how about we sign a contract too, called the ’Lifelong Love Contract’?”

Excited and blushing, Lin Xiran nodded her head: ”Sure, I’ll sign with you!”

”Fine, then I’ll personally draft this contract... Hey, doesn’t this water taste a bit off? Do you want tea or coffee instead? Though coffee might keep you awake, perhaps you should have some tea?”

Lin Xiran blinked her beautiful eyes: ”Isn’t tea bitter?”

”We should have black tea here; black tea isn’t bitter...”

At this moment, Lin Xirui could no longer hold back: ”Hey, can you two go be sickeningly sweet somewhere else? I’m trying to read the contract.”

Zhang Jingdong curled his lip: ”This is my office, how about... you go outside to read?”

”You...” Lin Xiran glared fiercely at Zhang Jingdong: ”Do you even have any sincerity in signing a contract with me?”

”If you think I’m not sincere, then you don’t have to sign with me, right?”

Once Lin Xirui heard this, she directly placed the contract on the table: ”You really just want to piss me off, don’t you? Fine, I won’t sign...”

”Well, but there’s one thing I must remind you. I’ve already negotiated the advertisement fee up to 50,000 for you. Alright, you can leave now!”

Lin Xirui clenched her teeth fiercely and then picked up the contract again.

Muttering resentfully: ”Fine, I’ll sign it right now!”

Saying this, she directly picked up the pen and signed her name on the contract.

”Here you go!”

Zhang Jingdong took the contract and glanced at it, then showed a satisfied smile: ”See, wasn’t it better to just be straightforward? You thought I was actually giving you the contract to read through thoroughly!”

”Alright, now you’ve officially become an artist under contract with my company. In other words, I am now your boss, and you’re my subordinate.”

”I’ll simply exercise a bit of my boss’s privilege. My girlfriend wants to drink black tea, so find some for her and bring a cup over!”

Lin Xirui clearly did not expect Zhang Jingdong to pull such a move, and suddenly chided petulantly: ”Zhang Jingdong you...”

Lin Xiran also hurriedly said: ”Jingdong, don’t be like this...”

Zhang Jingdong then laughed and waved his hand: ”Just kidding, come on. But in the future, you should at least show me some respect, and be careful with how you speak to me. That should be fine, right?”

Seeing that she was being teased by this guy again, Lin Xirui immediately gave him a disgruntled look.

But she quickly felt that what he said made some sense, and after all, he had helped her make those 50,000 yuan.

With this in mind, she tried to squeeze out a smile: ”Alright, I will pay attention to these... in the future!”

Zhang Jingdong was pleased: ”That’s more like it! Alright, let’s go downstairs to check out the upcoming shooting plans and what preparations you need to make in advance.”

Saying that, he stood up and took the two downstairs, to the photography studio.

Zhang Jingdong said to Chen Hui: ”I’ve already sorted out the contract, so I’ll leave these two to you!”

Upon hearing this, Chen Hui immediately said: ”That’s fantastic! I sent their photos to a few advertisers yesterday, and they are all very interested in their images. Three of them have directly proposed collaboration intentions!”

Zhang Jingdong was initially a bit surprised, but then he spoke very seriously: ”Making money is fine, but one thing must be clear, no messing around with nonsense. They are my people!”

Chen Hui quickly nodded: ”Understood, I will definitely pay extra attention to this!”

At this moment, Zhang Jingdong’s phone suddenly rang.

So, he told Chen Hui: ”Alright then, you tell them about the upcoming shooting schedule and what they need to prepare!”

”Okay, okay... I’ll handle it. You go ahead and get busy!”

Zhang Jingdong spoke a few more words with Lin Xiran and the rest, then left the photography studio.

He took out his phone and saw it was Xiao Fei who had called.

He then called her back.

As soon as the phone connected, Xiao Fei’s voice was a bit annoyed: ”What are you doing? I’ve called you three times these last two days, and you didn’t answer once. What’s that supposed to mean?”

Zhang Jingdong sighed and said: ”Let me kindly remind you that you’re a contracted artist at Xinghui Music Company and I’m the boss of Xinghui Music Company. You’d better clear up your attitude before talking to me, or else I’ll hang up...”

Xiao Fei was momentarily stunned on the other end, then quickly changed her tone: ”Boss, I was wrong, I just...”

”Cut the crap, get to the point. What do you want?”

”...Alright, tomorrow is the revival round. Could you come with me?”

Zhang Jingdong held back his laughter: ”I’ve already arranged everything for you for this revival round. As long as you don’t end up cursing the judges on stage, you will definitely advance. So... it’s not necessary!”

”But... but I need your car!”

”Last time I was so nice to let you use my car, and I even personally drove you. In the end, just because something came up last minute and I had you go back to school by yourself, you dared to curse me. And now you have the nerve to ask me to be your driver again?”

”Boss, I... I was wrong, okay, I really was wrong at that time. I apologize to you. Please, have a large heart and forgive me this once, I won’t dare do it again!”

”Really know you were wrong?”

”I really realize my mistake, boss. I am, after all, an artist from your company, and also your university classmate. Please give me another chance?”

Zhang Jingdong knew for this girl to go this far was quite difficult, and if he didn’t follow up a scolding with a sweetener, she just might hold a grudge.

And he was actually planning to go with her to the revival round anyway; after all, it was a very critical contest, and he needed to make sure she felt secure.

Immediately he said: ”Fine, seeing as how sensible you’re being, I’ll go to the scene with you again tomorrow. But let me be clear, I’m not doing this for you, I’m doing it for our company’s future development, since you’re the new talent our company is currently pushing!”

”So, you must perform well tomorrow. If you screw up this time, I won’t let you off easy!”

”I understand, I understand... Don’t worry, I will definitely work hard. Thank you, boss... thank you!”

”Alright, I’ve got other things to do, hanging up now!”

After speaking, he hung up the phone directly.

”Host successfully made the target person apologize and restrain their anger, reward of 500,000 yuan!”

Zhang Jingdong immediately beamed with joy, then involuntarily thought of Lin Xirui inside, feeling a burst of satisfaction.

Being their boss sure feels great!
