Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 133: Chapter 113: Seeing Shu Ran Again (Long Chapter, Please Subscribe)

Zhang Jingdong went to Yutang Spring for lunch, then originally planned to invite Lin Xiran to join him at Caesar Palace’s private cinema to watch a Shu Qi movie and casually mimic some action scenes from it.

Upon reaching the entrance of the arts college, he took out his phone intending to call Lin Xiran but suddenly spotted Shu Ran driving out of the school in her white Land Rover.

He instinctively put down his phone, then directly followed her.

About twenty minutes later, he saw Shu Ran park her car outside a badminton club and enter with her gear.

Zhang Jingdong thought for a moment, and then a thought struck him: ”I want to enter the lottery!”

”Host has accumulated 40 points of goodwill from the target person, meeting the lottery conditions. You may now enter the lottery.”

”Would the Host like to start the lottery?”

”Yes!”

”The lottery is beginning...”

”Prize one: The ability to automatically heal wounds in one hour.”

”Prize two: Lin Dan’s badminton skills.”

”Prize three: Phelps’ swimming ability.”

Zhang Jingdong hesitated slightly, then said: ”I choose Lin Dan’s badminton abilities.”

”Prize has been exchanged.”

Zhang Jingdong looked up at the entrance of the badminton club, then got out of the car.

He went inside, approaching the reception desk.

”Hello, welcome to Wule Badminton Club!”

Zhang Jingdong asked casually, ”How does one get a membership card here?”

”Our membership cards come in three types—monthly, quarterly, and annually, priced at 498, 1298, and 3598 respectively.”

”What’s included in the annual membership?”

The other party obviously didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong to be so generous and quickly said: ”With the annual membership, you can freely use the courts and equipment, and you also have priority in choosing a sparring coach.”

”Alright, I’ll take an annual membership then.”

”Okay, just a moment, please.”

Two minutes later, the receptionist handed the bank card and membership card back to Zhang Jingdong.

”For the equipment, would you prefer Yonex or Victor?”

”Victor, I suppose.”

”Do you need a sparring partner or a coach?”

”What’s the level of the sparring partners and coaches here?”

”Our sparring partners are level three athletes, and coaches are either level one or two athletes.”

”Then arrange a coach for me.”

”Sure, I’ll arrange it right now. Please follow me...”

Zhang Jingdong promptly followed the staff member inside.

The interior was spacious, with over a dozen standard courts.

Zhang Jingdong looked around. At the moment, eight courts were in use. Shu Ran was warming up on a court in the middle. She was accompanied by another woman who, judging by her attire, was either a sparring partner or a coach.

It seemed Shu Ran was a regular here because the two of them chatted happily and were clearly well acquainted.

Zhang Jingdong did not approach them and deliberately chose a court somewhat farther away from Shu Ran’s court.

His plan was not to appear too deliberate. After all, Shu Ran frequented this place, and if he showed up right before her on his first visit, she would likely be somewhat suspicious afterward.

His task for himself today was simply to play badminton properly.

In his past life, he hadn’t played badminton much. The only time that left a deep impression was when he participated in the company sports meet.

Back then, it was the initial knockout round of 16, and he was paired against a female colleague who had practiced the sport; he got beaten 2:0 and never played badminton again after that.

So today, he planned to win back that lose from his past life and take a little revenge for that defeat.

After choosing a court, a male coach came over after a short while.

The receptionist introduced: ”Sir, this is Coach Yang...”

Zhang Jingdong glanced at the coach and asked directly, ”Do you have any female coaches here?”

In his past life, Zhang Jingdong had seen some short videos of female badminton coaches and remembered their long legs and the skirts flying up when they played. He found it inexplicably sexy.

And that was also why he believed they had so many fans.

So, of course, he wanted to discuss techniques with a female coach.

Then, Coach Yang half-jokingly said, ”Buddy, if you have other motives for coming here, I don’t mind if you opt for a male coach. But if you’re truly here to improve your skills, then I recommend you stick with me.”

Seeing Coach Yang so Persistent, Zhang Jingdong responded, ”Since you’re so confident, how about this—let’s play a match. If you win, you can coach me. Is that okay?”

Yang Xu smiled lightly: ”Of course!”

After some brief preparation, the match began.

Although the receptionist had an idea of what the outcome would be, considering that Zhang Jingdong was an annual member, she didn’t want to be rude, so she watched the match from the sidelines.

Badminton is not as ruthless as table tennis, where lower-level players can’t even survive a round in front of top players because they simply can’t return the serve, but the situation wasn’t much better.

After just one exchange, Yang Xu sensed something was amiss, realizing that Zhang Jingdong might be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Then, with Zhang Jingdong modestly holding back his skills, the remaining game ended in less than twenty minutes.

The score was 21:5!

At that moment, Yang Xu was almost questioning his life!

He was a national level two athlete who had participated in provincial competitions in the past.

Back then, in the top 16 rounds, he even faced off against that session’s provincial champion, who later joined the national second team.

But even against such a national player, he had never lost a set so badly before!

He approached and looked deeply at Zhang Jingdong but soon realized he had never seen this skilled player, so he was sure that the person was not an active provincial team player.
