I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 92: Chapter 12: Truly a Monster!

Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

The camera focused on Chen Zhong.

This black-haired, yellow-skinned boy, wearing a white robe, running with the ball towards the center circle, etched into the eyes of countless fans.

He longed for victory, his fighting spirit was high, he was unwilling to settle for a draw, and he was full of battle intent.

The other Real Madrid players around him were also infected by Chen Zhong, and their expressions began to turn serious, like wild geese flying south following the leading goose, as they ran towards the center circle.

”Good kid.” Schuster laughed heartily, his eyes full of admiration: ”What’s there to celebrate about a draw, enough arrogance, has character, I like it, hahaha.”

”And that Marcelo.”

”That kid has something special!”

This goal, Chen Zhong’s precise interception was certainly important, but Marcelo’s assist could be described as feeding the ball into your mouth and then giving you a bottle of water to ensure you swallow it.

Marcelo’s speed, dribbling, and technique during the attack were indeed a refreshing sight, befitting his Brazilian nationality.

Panagiotis Lemonis, the head coach of Olympiacos, this white-haired, bright-eyed old man, was standing by the pitch at this moment.

Olympiacos was already invincible domestically, Lemonis pursued only a breakthrough in the Champions League, they created the best record in their history a few years ago, reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Now, although the team no longer had stars like Rivaldo, Lemonis always believed.

He could also create a ”Porto” miracle!

”Get your spirits up!” The vigorously aged Lemonis stood by the pitch shouting loudly: ”If we can breach their defense once, we can breach their defense a second time.”

Lemonis’ cries inspired the players on the field and even attracted the nearby Schuster, who turned his head to look at Lemonis, a tinge of annoyance flashing in his eyes: ”This guy.”

After the kickoff, Olympiacos quickly launched an offensive, Djokovic received the pass from a teammate on the flank, feigned to escape Ramos’s tackle, he quickly went down the line, while Ramos chased tirelessly from behind.

”Very reckless move.”

”Ramos was easily bypassed by Djokovic.”

”Cross from the baseline.”

”The ball went to the far end to Galletti.”

Metzelder noticed Galletti’s movements, he approached immediately, trying to intercept the ball with his long legs advantage, but Galletti had no intention of stopping the ball, instead, he flicked it.

ε=(´ο｀*))) Sigh, finally succeeded!

Galletti flicked the ball past Metzelder, like a tumbler, faced with the goal, and directly curled a shot into the far corner, the ball hung in the far corner and went into the net.

Casillas made a save attempt, but he didn’t get to the ball.

He punched the ground in frustration, after completing the goal, Galletti raised both hands, amidst boos and a few cheers, ran towards the corner flag, and celebrated crazily.

”1:2”

”Galletti put his team ahead.”

”Metzelder’s performance would not satisfy the fans.”

”He was like a wooden post, easily bypassed by Galletti.”

”Before the start of the season, many people were optimistic about his joining.”

”Believing he would help strengthen the team’s defense.”

”But obviously, he seems not to have integrated into the team’s system at all.”

Metzelder stood stunned on the spot, after multiple consecutive seasons of injuries, just like Saviola, he thought leaving the original team would mean significant potential, but reality did not match his expectations.

What had gone wrong?

Metzelder didn’t know, he just looked at Pepe who was furious, listening to Casillas shouting something loudly, he only felt dizzy and disoriented, yet only 10 minutes into the match, Real Madrid had already conceded two goals, both broken from his side.

In the stands, the Merengue fans waved white handkerchiefs, issuing boos to express their dissatisfaction, while on the sidelines, Schuster’s face was flushed with anger.

”If that position were Chen.”

”Then perhaps these two goals wouldn’t have been conceded!”

”Damn it, what spell was I under back then!” Schuster loudly complained to Francisco: ”I actually thought he was good! Could play for the team?”

”It should be due to consecutive injuries.” Francisco defended Metzelder a few times: ”He has always been plagued by injuries these years, and recently he also has had continuous injuries.”

”Ha!” Schuster sneered coldly: ”Then TMD, his performance in the national team was so outstanding?”

Francisco, hearing Schuster’s words, didn’t know how to respond.

One key reason Metzelder was selected to start in this match was because of his decent performance in the recently concluded national team friendly matches.

In fact, back in Dortmund, Metzelder always had this sense of nursing injuries at the club but exploding with performance in the national team, but whatever the case, when he was able to play at the club, he could still deliver some performance, yet at Real Madrid, he directly became a ”deep pit.”

Not only were coaches on the sidelines discussing this but many fans watching this match online were also talking about it.

[Real Madrid’s defense is as stable as always.]
