Chen Zhong, who plays for Real Madrid, has now appeared in 8 official matches for the team, including 5 league matches, 2 Champions League matches, and 1 Supercopa de España final. During these 8 matches, he has accumulated 3 goals and 3 assists: 1 goal each in Supercopa, Champions League group stage, and league, 2 assists in the league, and 1 assist in the Champions League group stage.

Such a performance is quite outstanding considering Chen Zhong is only 16, even surpassing Barcelona’s genius Giovanni dos Santos just based on statistics.

This talented player, known as ”the second Ronaldinho,” has firmly secured his position, keeping Bojan on the bench with his excellent performance.

He has more appearances than Bojan, and his statistics are also better; so far, he has achieved 2 goals and 1 assist in various competitions.

and both gave high praise to his performance.

They even singled out Chen Zhong’s statistics to compare with Messi, noting that 16-year-old Chen Zhong is even more outstanding than 17-year-old Messi.

Back when Messi debuted, in the 04-05 season, 17-year-old Messi made 9 appearances for Barcelona, scoring only 1 goal. In the 05-06 season, he made 25 appearances, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists.

It wasn’t until the last season, 06-07 season, at nearly 20, that Messi put out a phenomenal performance, making 36 appearances in various official matches for Barcelona, scoring 17 goals and providing 3 assists, personally winning the European Rookie Award, FIFPro Best Young Player, Argentina Mr. Football, and was included in the FIFA Team of the Year.

However, Chen Zhong feels that to establish himself at Real Madrid, with his current abilities, is still challenging, especially after the last match against Lazio, where Chen Zhong clearly felt his ”ceiling.”

After the grueling schedule ended, he began to ponder on how to improve his abilities. Trying to improve by completing tasks, it seems, is not something that can be achieved in the short term.

And after a hiatus following the intense schedule, Chen Zhong, upon checking the system panel during his break, discovered a new approach; no, it’s not an approach, but a new discovery.

After he became a professional player, especially after becoming more settled in the central defender position, his training content also became quite fixed, leading to declines in his abilities in certain areas.

”Before signing a professional contract and unlocking more functions, all I could do was training hard to let my ability values reach their upper limit.”

”But now it’s different. Due to my training inclinations and main position, my ability values might reduce.”

When Chen Zhong first noticed this situation, he was somewhat worried, fearing that if he continued this way, his hard-earned attribute points might go to waste. After all, different positions have different training focuses, and the decline of certain attributes seems inevitable.

But soon he realized something: the visible overall attribute points of a player might reduce, but that’s only an apparent reduction.

”Put simply, I’m like a kettle; currently, this kettle only holds half a kettle of water, swaying, but I can refill it to make it full again.”

”In some ways, the reduction of certain attributes might even be a good thing for me!”

”This means the capabilities I need now have room to improve.”

Chen Zhong couldn’t help but remember some of his lower attributes, like penalty 62, crossing 62, arc 54, agility 65, free kick accuracy 59.

These were related to his training and match inclinations. He rarely had opportunities to play wide, so naturally, he wouldn’t perform many crosses. He preferred a direct approach when handling the ball, never taking free kicks, which led to fewer chances to bend the ball. While shooting, he relied on sheer power for miracles.

This led to lower stats in these areas, but correspondingly, there was room for growth in other areas because of the decline mentioned above.

”What I need to do now is to slow down and enhance training in certain areas.”

”That way, my aura can play its role too.”

In the youth team, Chen Zhong could gain one aura per year. He possesses the three major auras of [Genius], [All-Powerful], and [Butcher]. Originally, Chen Zhong thought these auras had basically fulfilled their purposes, but now he unexpectedly finds that they might be a key component in his periodic ”transition”.

[Genius: You are considered a genius, receiving better feedback from training.]

[All-Powerful: You are considered an all-powerful player, with increased comprehension of different positions.]
