All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Spectating the Lovestruck Brother’s Self-Destruction (34)

The middle-aged man holding the kitchen knife swung the knife at Lin Shanghuai once again.

At this moment, Qiann Yan had already arrived, jumping up and kicking the middle-aged man’s arm.

Lin Shanghuai heard a crack, indicating a dislocation.

He quickly reacted, swiftly snatching the kitchen knife from the middle-aged man’s hand.

Qiann Yan kicked the middle-aged man’s leg once again, causing him to scream in pain and collapse to the ground.

Lin Shanghuai cooperated well, throwing the kitchen knife aside and pinning the middle-aged man’s hands behind his back.

Qiann Yan forcefully stepped on the middle-aged man’s head with her sharply-heeled shoes, pressing his face against the ground, causing it to deform.

”Miss Gu, call the police.”

Lin Shanghuai was astonished, not expecting her to be this formidable, truly making people look at her in a new light. If it weren’t for her, even with his decent physical ability, being ambushed from behind might have been the end for him.

Qiann Yan took out her phone and called the police.

The police quickly arrived, seeing the middle-aged man subdued by the two, they felt a sense of relief. Upon realizing the assaulted person was Lin Shanghuai, their hearts raced.

”Doctor Lin, are you alright?”

They often encountered unexpected situations during their missions, thus were quite familiar with Lin Shanghuai, and some of their colleagues had been treated by him before.

”I’m fine.”

Lin Shanghuai’s heart was racing, just a little closer... he couldn’t help but look at Qiann Yan, whose foot was still on the middle-aged man’s head.

Officers handcuffed the middle-aged man and collected the kitchen knife from the ground, reminding Qiann Yan, who still had her foot on the man’s head, ”Miss, you can let go now, he is no longer capable of committing the crime.”

”Alright.” Qiann Yan retracted her foot.

”I’d like to ask you both to come along to make a statement.”

The officers documented the scene with photos for evidence, conducted a search, and retrieved surveillance footage.

The middle-aged man who attacked Lin Shanghuai quickly confessed, almost frantically shouting in the interrogation room: ”It’s all Lin Shanghuai’s fault, otherwise my son wouldn’t be disabled.”

Lin Shanghuai had an excellent memory, and among the patients he treated, he did not recall any relative like this existing. He requested to see the middle-aged man, as he couldn’t settle down without clearing up this matter.

”If it weren’t for you, my son wouldn’t be disabled. He’s only seventeen, seventeen,” the middle-aged man, Shi Xing, roared low and angrily, his face twisted in fury, ”If you had operated on my son, he definitely wouldn’t be disabled. Absolutely not! It’s all your fault!! Since my son is crippled and will be ruined for life, you must pay with your life.”

Lin Shanghuai: ”What is your child’s name?”

”Shi Yue, my son’s name is Shi Yue. Lin Shanghuai, what’s the point in asking these questions now? If you had saved my son, he wouldn’t be disabled. Even though I didn’t succeed in killing you today, I will find a way to make you pay in the future. No matter how long they lock me up here, once I’m out, you won’t have a good time.”

Shi Xing’s threats caused everyone at the police station to frown. Such dangerous words made them uneasy.

”If I recall correctly, none of my patients were named Shi Yue,” Lin Shanghuai said. His memory was very good, and he didn’t have any impression of seeing this middle-aged man. Someone so concerned about his son couldn’t possibly not show up when he was injured.

”I don’t care, it’s because you didn’t save my son that he ended up crippled at such a young age. Everyone says you’re the best orthopedic doctor in the city; if you were there, he’d be fine,” Shi Xing’s unreasonable words, however, made the police catch onto something, leading them to investigate Shi Xing and his son, searching for their medical records in the hospital.
