All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Watching My Love-Struck Brother Court Disaster (29)

Throughout the afternoon and evening, Lin Shanghuai was checking his phone, looking at the sparse comments below his post, unable to describe how he felt.

The next morning, as soon as it was light, the comments were still sparse. He finally stopped checking his phone, even ignoring the strange feeling he’d had before.

Arriving at the hospital, Lin Shanghuai first went to check on Gu Jingkui’s condition. A seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl stood at the door of the ward. He’d seen her yesterday and remembered her name seemed to be Lan Yazhen, who had been the subject of the nurses’ discussions.

”Brother Gu, are you feeling better today? Does your leg still hurt?” Lan Yazhen looked pitiful, ”I really want to come in and see you, but Qiann Yan won’t let me. I understand it’s my fault, not hers.”

”This is a ward. Miss, please keep your voice down; you’ll disturb the patient’s rest.” Lin Shanghuai’s cold voice rang out, his expression indifferent, ignoring Lan Yazhen’s pitiful look. Dressed in his white coat, he walked in with long strides.

Lan Yazhen quickly stopped Lin Shanghuai: ”Doctor Lin, can I go in and see Brother Gu?”

Lin Shanghuai turned around, and Lan Yazhen was momentarily stunned by his young and handsome face. She hadn’t noticed before how young this Doctor Lin was, around twenty-something. She seemed to realize her gaze was too direct and lowered her head in embarrassment.

”I am really worried about Brother Gu and want to see him.”

Lin Shanghuai said coldly: ”The patient can recover better without you here. Your presence tends to provoke the patient into actions that could hinder recovery.”

Lin Shanghuai glanced at Gu Jingkui, who was propping himself up to look toward the door: ”If you care about the patient, it’s best not to provoke him. Can’t you see he’s about to fall off the bed? If he falls, his leg might break again.”

Lan Yazhen blanched, but Lin Shanghuai ignored her and walked up to Gu Jingkui: ”If you wish to stay in the hospital for several more months or even a year, you can get out of bed now.”

Gu Jingkui awkwardly lay back down. He had felt a sharp pain in his leg, perhaps from moving too much. Seeing Yazhen hadn’t bothered him at first, but now the pain was making him uncomfortable all over.

Lin Shanghuai returned to his office, took out his mobile phone, and opened WeChat. He clicked on Qiann Yan’s profile and started typing, describing what he had seen earlier.

Lin Shanghuai: I believe that young lady’s presence is likely to provoke the patient, causing a second injury. If a second surgery is required, I can’t guarantee his recovery to the level of a normal person. Additionally, she’s noisy, saying strange things outside the ward, which could disturb other patients in the nearby rooms.

Qiann Yan saw the message a few hours later and immediately replied: Thank you, Doctor Lin, for the reminder. I know what to do.

Setting down her phone, Qiann Yan called her assistant to bring two bodyguards.

She brought the bodyguards to the hospital and happened to see Lan Yazhen at the door of the ward. As soon as Lan Yazhen saw her, she expressed delight with her eyes, pleadingly saying, ”Qiann Yan, can you let me in to see Brother Gu, please? Just for a moment.”

”Take her away and make sure she doesn’t appear in my brother’s sight again,” Qiann Yan instructed the two bodyguards.

”Qiann Yan, you can’t do this!!”

Lan Yazhen cried out as she was dragged away by the two bodyguards. A passing nurse reminded them: ”Miss, please don’t scream. It will disturb the patients’ rest.”

”Isn’t that girl a bit off, causing such a ruckus.”

”Honestly, she’s so noisy.”

”I’ve thought about complaining. All morning, I couldn’t understand what strange things she was talking about, like a soap opera. She even kept my mom from sleeping.”

Lan Yazhen blushed deeply, wishing she could find a hole to bury herself in.
