All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Watching My Love-Brained Brother Court Disaster (Part 4)

Lan Yazhen looked hopefully at Qiann Yan, hoping she could help speak the truth. With Gu Qianyan’s personality, this matter was unlikely to end.

As for herself, she was insignificant, whatever she said probably wouldn’t matter. The people here, except for Brother Gu and Qianyan, were all in the same group, so of course, they wouldn’t help her speak up.

Thinking of this, Lan Yazhen felt a bit sad. She didn’t know when it happened, but she and Qianyan were no longer as close. Her being here wasn’t because she followed Qianyan, but because she ran into them by coincidence at the beach, and Brother Gu invited her up.

In the past, when they were on good terms, Qianyan would definitely protect her.

Why couldn’t they be like before?

If Qianyan treated her the same as before, Chen Yuchu probably wouldn’t have dared to push her into the sea in front of so many people while Brother Gu wasn’t paying attention.

”Yazhen, do you remember what just happened?” Gu Jingkui asked gently, ”What happened just now? Speak boldly, and I will help you.”

Gu Jingkui’s gentle voice made Lan Yazhen unable to hold back her tears. Her eyes turned red, and involuntarily, she leaned into Gu Jingkui’s arms, crying sadly.

Beside them, Chen Yuchu’s originally smug face turned angry. Lan Yazhen, that wench.

Flirting with Gu Jingkui in front of so many people, did a poor girl like her deserve it?

”Brother Gu, I don’t remember anything. I only know someone pushed me, and I instinctively grabbed what was around me and ended up grabbing Qianyan, who was standing next to me. If I had known it was Qianyan I grabbed, I would have let go.”

”Alright, I don’t blame you.” Gu Jingkui gently patted Lan Yazhen’s back, ”It’s also my fault. I brought you up and didn’t pay attention, which led to you falling into the sea. I will definitely give you an explanation about Chen Yuchu.”

”Brother Gu.” Chen Yuchu became anxious, ”You can’t do this, it was a prank, an accident. I never thought to hurt anyone. How was I to know she couldn’t swim? This was supposed to be water play, and she should have known to swim.”

Chen Yuchu’s way of shirking responsibility made the onlookers frown. Many people here didn’t favor Lan Yazhen, but none went as far as Chen Yuchu to push someone into the sea. Besides, didn’t she consider who brought her up here before pushing her?

Most importantly, it dragged Gu Jingkui’s sister into the water, who was almost lost.

”Whatever you have to say, tell it to the police.”

”Brother Gu, you’re being too heartless.” Chen Yuchu was extremely flustered. If she really got taken to the police station because of this, especially if Gu Jingkui pushed hard, she would end up locked up for a while, losing face. Her parents would definitely scold her. ”Brother Gu, I really know I was wrong, it wasn’t intentional. I can apologize to Lan Yazhen and promise never to joke like this again.”

Gu Jingkui looked down at Lan Yazhen, who remembered something and quickly stood up from his embrace: ”I’m sorry, Brother Gu, I couldn’t control my emotions.”

”It’s okay.” Gu Jingkui’s eyes showed a hint of disappointment, ”Regarding Chen Yuchu, how would you like to proceed? Report to the police, or accept her apology and compensation?”

At this moment, when Gu Jingkui was dealing with the girl he liked, he again forgot his own sister.

Qianyan gradually got used to his way of handling things, her beautiful eyes scanning the people present.

”Shouldn’t we ask the other victim too?” Pan Cheng reminded, thinking that Gu Jingkui lost his senses whenever Lan Yazhen was involved. He turned to look at Qianyan, ”Qianyan, what do you say?”

”Didn’t my brother just say to report to the police? Send her to the police station, let them handle it as they see fit.”

Chen Yuchu was more flustered than ever; wouldn’t that be utterly disgraceful? Who would want to play with her in the future? She hurriedly ran to Qianyan, pleading with her: ”Qianyan, I really didn’t intend to hurt you, you know I only dislike Lan Yazhen...”
