Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1245: Chapter 1245: I Can’t Put It Into Words

Just like that, with Lu Xiaobu sparing no expense, regardless of mosquitoes or flies, they were all struck down without exception!

An unprecedented lack of piracy!

And the first screening of the movie was just about to finish!

The time had come.

The audience for the first screening, totaling more than five hundred thousand, walked out of the cinema.

Some of their waiting family and friends at the door, along with those early arrivals for the second and third screenings, saw them coming out.

They eagerly inquired.

Humans are such strange creatures; even though spoilers can greatly affect the viewing experience, that curiosity never disappears.

”How was it? Was it good?!”

”Was it thrilling?!”

”What was it about?! Is it different from the previous war documentaries?!”

”Speak up! Why is none of you talking?!”

”...”

Those who were asking didn’t get any information from the first screening audience’s mouths.

Because, at this moment, the audience from the first screening looked very unpleasant; some furious, some cold, and most were pale as ghosts!

Finally, some audience members noticed something was off about their expressions!

However, they became even more curious!

”Seriously, what the hell did you watch?!”

”Yeah! Why is no one saying anything, is there some confidentiality agreement?!”

”Xiao Wang, what’s wrong? You’re usually laughing while discussing ghosts in horror movies, why do you look so scared?!”

”Right! Tell us! Were there scenes of human experimentation in the movie?!”

It was unclear who asked this last question!

But it had an extraordinary effect.

Because, with the mention of human experimentation!

Suddenly!

”Wow!”

Someone suddenly started to vomit.

As the nauseating smell spread, the scene quickly became unmanageable.

”Wow!”

”Ugh!”

”Cough, cough, cough!”

Groups of people began to vomit, some already heaving nothing but bile.

Many even knelt on the ground, crying, whether out of fear, hatred, or both!

And those who could still hold on looked at the vomiting people, saying nothing, showing no disdain, but instead, filled with empathy and compassion.

They had watched; they understood that feeling!

They didn’t vomit, only because they harbored another emotion in their hearts.

That was, wishing they could have been there in that era, drinking the blood and eating the flesh of those demons!

That era was nothing short of hell on earth.

The onlookers were stunned!

”What’s happening?! What’s happening?!”

”Why is everyone suddenly vomiting?! Isn’t this a documentary?!”

”Yeah! How can watching a documentary make you vomit?!”

”What an awful smell!”

”You guys have such poor mental fortitude!”

”...”

The first screening audience listened to some people standing around and criticizing them, glanced at them coldly without much explanation.

Watch it yourselves, and you’ll be just like us!

...

Meanwhile, the people from the Lu Group were not idle; they only had twenty minutes to clean the cinema and prepare for the next audience.

Although there were vomit bags in the theater, some people couldn’t make it and vomited directly on the floor.

Moreover, that smell inside the cinema needed to be removed properly.

Otherwise, it would greatly affect the next audience!

The first-aid station had also played a role, with all the doctors coming over to take away those who were vomiting uncontrollably.

Although the scene was busy, it was not chaotic at all.

...

Very soon, comments about this documentary started appearing online!

It’s worth mentioning that people were accustomed to deciding whether to watch a film based on the ratings from the website developed by Lu Xiaobu.

The authority of the film industry was gradually being held in Lu Xiaobu’s hands.

Many who didn’t get tickets started reading reviews!

Fei Ji was a viewer particularly interested in this documentary.

Ever since Lu Xiaobu obtained the film material from Japan, Fei Ji had been paying attention to this movie.

Upon learning that the first screening had finished, he immediately found a chance to sneak off, squatting in the restroom, and started looking for reviews on his phone.

He wasn’t disappointed; there were indeed many reviews!

But they were all very strange!

All the reviews were like this.

”Rather than calling it a documentary, it should be called a wake-up call!”

”How much I wish I could have been there in that era, torturing those demons to death with knives!”

”Now I understand why they set an age restriction! This was a correct decision! In fact, even raising the age limit wouldn’t be excessive!”

”The scenes in there, oh, it’s hard to put into words! I can still remember the man’s face full of despair! The woman’s eyes, numbed by pain! The child clawing at the window, wailing miserably! And, of course, those demons’ cold eyes, not seeing our compatriots as humans!”

”Hateful! So hateful! I cried! I really cried! Tears kept streaming down, wondering what kind of hell that era was?!”

”Truly! Speaking a little too strongly, I seem to understand why there were so many traitors back then! Fear! It was truly fear! Of course, I’m not saying they weren’t wrong! They were bastards too!”

”...”

Fei Ji looked at these comments, frowning deeply.

This isn’t right! Logically, there should be reviews analyzing the plot!

Why is everyone expressing their feelings but no one analyzing the plot?!

After scrolling for a while, feeling a bit impatient, he contacted a friend who watched the first screening.

Fei Ji: ”Peng Yu, are you out?”

Peng Yu: ”Yeah.”

Fei Ji: ”How was it? Was it good?”

Peng Yu fell silent on the other end, seemingly unwilling to engage.

Fei Ji: ”Say something! Tell your buddy about the plot, I don’t mind spoilers!”

Peng Yu: ”I can’t say.”

Fei Ji: ”Why can’t you say anything? Just give a brief description!”

Suddenly, Peng Yu seemed ignited, his whole emotion exploding, he shouted, ”How do I tell you?!”

”Do you want me to describe how it feels for a husband to be forced to watch his wife being humiliated?!”

”Do you want me to recount how a mother, knowing something is poisonous, still smiles while giving it to her child, only to break down and cry?!”

”Do you want me to describe the look on a violated woman’s face, both hateful and pained, when she sees her newborn child?!”

”Do you want me to tell you about their despair?! I can’t express it! That’s a despair that can’t be put into words!”

Peng Yu paused here, seeming to cry, and finally said, ”I’m sorry for getting emotional! But I really can’t describe it! Nor am I worthy of describing! Because I don’t know what emotion to use!”

Then the call was hung up.

Fei Ji listened to the beeping sound, stunned, in a daze...
