Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1243: Chapter 1243: The Plan Falls Through

Huo Yu was truly shocked by this speed!

This kind of speed, he had only seen it when scrambling for train tickets during the Chinese New Year!

Are you all that free, huh?

Not only was he shocked.

Everyone following this matter online was equally shocked!

”Oh my! So fast?!”

”No way! It’s just a documentary! Is everyone that quick?”

”Who got the tickets? Who got them?! I’m about to explode with anger. I just realized when it was time to buy tickets that it requires location settings?!”

”Isn’t it more terrifying? The tickets could only be snagged in cities where the screening is taking place, yet it took less than five seconds! How terrifying is that?!”

”My goodness! If Lu Xiaobu was charging for this film, he would be making a fortune!”

”Lu Xiaobu is still amazing!”

”...”

Back to Huo Yu.

Bootlegging Dog: ”Boss, shall we still book the plane tickets?”

”Book them!” Huo Yu squinted and said, ”I’ll go see if I can buy one off someone else, or see if anyone cancels a ticket, and then I’ll try to grab one! The rest of you, get moving immediately!”

Although he was shocked by the overwhelming popularity of Lu Xiaobu’s documentary,

at the same time, he was secretly pleased.

It’s great that it’s popular! The more popular it is, the more valuable the resources acquired will be!

”Yes!” All the bootlegging dogs nodded and started taking action!

Since the movie was being screened the next day, they still had time to operate today.

...

Time flew by, and it was the next day.

Huo Yu chose to come to Shimen.

Some might have asked, wasn’t Shimen said to be the hardest place to operate?

Yes, that was Huo Yu’s initial thought.

However, he later reconsidered, being under the radar was an advantage!

Maybe he could slip through the cracks?

With that thought, he decided to fly to Shimen.

And his luck was good; he actually managed to grab a ticket.

However, it wasn’t for the first screening, but the second.

Lu Group didn’t just release one batch of tickets; they released a whole day’s worth, which meant ten screenings.

When Huo Yu saw there were ten screenings, he was stunned!

Each screening was two hours long, which meant a full twenty hours, plus the flow of personnel and cleaning, making it an all-day event!

Lu Xiaobu really was crazy!

Around-the-clock showings, just incredibly insane!

”Alright, time to go.” Huo Yu tidied up his clothes and gear and left the hotel.

Even though his ticket wasn’t for the first screening, he intended to try sneaking in!

...

Huo Yu arrived at the scene, observing the complete set of security check equipment, checking IDs, and metal detection, his lips twitched. It really did look the part.

However, could such small tricks really stump him?

He planned to observe first, ready to sneak in.

While thinking about it, he started observing.

Soon, he saw many comrades.

It seemed he wasn’t the only one thinking of operating under the radar!

For instance, there was a guy undergoing the security check; it was clear he was a comrade. Others couldn’t tell, but Huo Yu, the seasoned pro, could spot it at a glance!

Forget about them.

His first plan—impersonate a reporter!

They wouldn’t stop a reporter, right, the one promoting?

He had an untraceable press card!

Then, at that moment.

”Stop right there!” Li Bin, an inspector from Lu Group, stopped someone: ”Don’t you know the rules? You’re not allowed to take anything metallic inside, and you’re trying to waltz in carrying a camera, thinking this is what?”

”I’m a reporter! A reporter!” The reporter quickly pulled out his press card.

He was indeed a reporter.

”Who cares? Rules are rules. Either follow them or get lost!” Li Bin rolled his eyes.

”How dare you speak like that?! I’m a reporter! I’ll expose you!” The reporter was fuming; he had never encountered such a person before.

”Expose us if you want, security, take him away. What’s the issue? When has Lu Group ever indulged you guys?”

Li Bin rolled his eyes, waved a hand, and the nearby security immediately rushed forward, lifting the reporter!

Seeing this, Huo Yu’s lips twitched!

He looked at the press card in his hand and obediently put it away.

If even real reporters can’t get in, let alone fake ones like me!

Forget it!

Time for the second plan!

Huo Yu pulled out a prop from his pocket, chuckling to himself.

He’d line up, then pretend to have a heart attack!

He wanted to find a place to rest.

The nearest resting place was the cinema; Lu Group certainly wouldn’t watch someone die without helping, right?

Sneak in, set up the camera, then queue up properly!

Perfect!

Huo Yu had a smug smile on his face.

And at that moment,

back at the security check,

”Help! Help!” A person suddenly fell to the ground in the queue!

His face was pale, clutching his chest, looking in great pain.

”A heart attack?” Li Bin walked over.

”Yes! He’s having a heart attack! Is there somewhere he can rest? I can’t make it!” The accomplice of the heart attack sufferer quickly said, panicking.

”It’s okay, don’t worry,” Li Bin comforted, then turned and said, ”Have the doctor drive the ambulance over.”

”What’s wrong with you! You want my friend to lie there and wait? Don’t you have any empathy?!” The accomplice was furious, accusing.

”No worries, no need to wait, it’s already coming!” Li Bin shrugged, ”We’ve prepared lots of ambulances, even set up a temporary aid station, so don’t worry.”

The accomplice’s face turned green!

What the hell, you’re going this far just for a movie?! Not an earthquake, yet you’ve set up an aid station?!

Quite tough, huh?!

As you might have guessed, these two were also bootlegging dogs.

They had similar plans to Huo Yu but hadn’t expected this outcome!

Sure enough, the ambulance came in no time.

With no other choice, they could only continue pretending.

And at that moment,

Li Bin flashed a devilish smile at the two, ”However, if it’s detected that you’re faking, there’s a police car waiting nearby to switch you over.”

Instantly, cold sweat dripped down the two guys’ foreheads!

Seeing this, Huo Yu silently put his prop away.

No way to fake it, impossible!

He wasn’t going to risk it!

And just then,

a person sidled over, shifty-eyed, and said, ”Hey buddy, need a ticket? First screening ticket!”

It was a scalper!

Huo Yu was delighted: ”I’ll take it, how much!”

”Ten thousand! Plus, I’ll lend you my ID, in exchange for you leaving your ID with me!” The scalper was truly hardcore, demanding ten thousand for a free ticket.

However, he was thorough, lending out his ID, so there was no concern about being found out!

Huo Yu frowned but didn’t hesitate much: ”Alright, I’ll take it!”

Securing resources was worth it, wasn’t it?!

With the ticket, he was ready to queue up!

After all, he had an ace up his sleeve!
