Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 710: Chapter 708: Revealing the Fangs

With GH joining, Lu Group’s network security rapidly improved a notch!

Of course, his current main focus is still on Extinction, bringing the security level of the payment site to the highest level he could achieve!

When the Extinction website was thriving, Lin Feng, who had been silent for a long time, finally showed his teeth!

”Taobao announces collaboration with banks, allowing online payments without needing online banking.”

”A cross-era payment method, eliminating multiple procedures, deeply promoting online shopping.”

”The new era of full-name online shopping.”

”The era of online shopping has arrived.”

...

Meng Xiuji, the founder of Taobao, sighed as he looked at these news pieces: ”Young Master Lin really is a big shot with extensive reach! I’ve wanted to do this for a long time! I didn’t expect that as soon as Young Master Lin took over, he achieved it immediately!”

At this moment, he really had to admit defeat!

Complicated payment methods have always been a factor limiting the development of online shopping!

Many people feel dizzy just thinking, ”If I buy something online, I have to go to the bank first, then enter a password and a token during the shopping process!”

Plus, the delivery is simply too slow!

Therefore, with that much time, they might as well go out and buy!

He had wanted to solve this problem for a while now, but the banks simply ignored him!

And yet, Lin Feng resolved this issue effortlessly. He’s really extraordinary!

This news immediately attracted a lot of attention from netizens!

”Wow! This is great! This should have been done long ago! Paying for things used to be so annoying!”

”Taobao really lives up to its reputation as a veteran shopping site! This move is brilliant!”

”Now, I can finally shop online too, my wife always forbade me from using online banking, keeping a tight grip on the finances, but now, haha, so comfortable!”

”Don’t get too excited, upstairs. There are always ways around policies, just like your girlfriend can’t control you now!”

”Come on! The era of buy, buy, buy has arrived!”

”Speaking of which, isn’t Extinction opening this service? To be honest, I have already fallen a bit in love with the Extinction site!”

”Yeah! Young Master Bu, you need to step it up too! Don’t fall behind!”

”Young Master Bu will definitely do it! I believe in Young Master Bu!”

”I believe too, but for now, I’ll first head over to Taobao and make some purchases!”

”Comfortable!”

”...”

Suddenly, the traffic on Taobao surged!

However, among this part of the traffic, not much was snatched from Extinction, less than one-tenth.

Most were people who previously wanted to shop online but had never taken the plunge!

Master Xue Yun, seeing this news, nodded secretly: ”Lin Feng really is formidable. He doesn’t make a move without ensuring it’s deadly! Right! Competing with Lu Xiaobu for that bit of small traffic is really not worth mentioning, instead, targeting a broader and easier-to-absorb market is the smarter play!”

Xia Jie and Zhan Longyan also noticed this news.

Xia Jie, full of admiration: ”Lin Feng is still formidable! This seemingly understated tactic has dealt a fatal blow to Lu Xiaobu!”

Zhan Longyan nodded: ”Yes! Instead of targeting Lu Xiaobu, he aimed for a larger, more digestible market, turning these people into habitual users! And by the time Lu Xiaobu makes his move, it’s not about merging but seizing! How much harder would that be?!”

Xia Jie sneered: ”And that’s not all! Although Lin Feng can’t completely prevent Lu Xiaobu from launching a similar service, the delays he caused are crucial! The longer the delay, the more perilous Lu Xiaobu’s situation becomes!”

Zhan Longyan agreed: ”Yes! Lin Feng’s move was brilliant! It was like hiding the horns of a gazelle, invisible yet obviously lethal, pressing step by step!”

Xia Jie: ”Lu Xiaobu must be desperate now, let’s just sit back and enjoy the show!”

Zhan Longyan: ”Ah! It’s just that it’s hard to explain to Master Xue Yun, otherwise, if we just joined hands, and also with Lin Feng, Lu Xiaobu would have no chance of turning the tables!”

Xia Jie: ”What can you do?! If Lin Feng doesn’t open his mouth, we have no reason to make a move. Making a move would mean offending Master Xue Yun, can you hold that?!”

Zhan Longyan: ”I’m just saying! Counting on Lin Feng to make a move? That’s definitely a dream!”

Xia Jie: ”But never mind, whether we act or not, Lu Xiaobu is facing early or late demise. Let’s just watch the situation unfold!”

Both felt helpless, watching an enemy struggle in front of them, knowing that one strike could end it all.

Yet, someone was stopping them, not allowing them to strike. Frustrating, isn’t it?

Now, they could only wait for this enemy to gradually decay in front of them, which was a form of revenge too!

...

Extinction Company.

”Young Master Lu, is our payment website going live soon?” Fei Jian asked anxiously: ”If we don’t launch it soon, it might be too late!”

”What’s the rush? Have you settled things with the banks?”

Lu Xiaobu rolled his eyes.

”Young Master Lu, that’s not what I meant. I just meant that we could launch our site first to show our stance, and then slowly negotiate with the banks!” Fei Jian took a breath and explained.

”Hmm, let me think about it, you go out first.”

Lu Xiaobu waved his hand.

Admittedly, Fei Jian’s suggestion was an option—launch first, then connect with the banks, appeasing the public!

Then take it step by step!

The advantage is that it can keep the current traffic in hand and prevent it from slipping away.

However, the disadvantage is also clear—once the payment site is exposed, Lin Feng can replicate an identical one in a very short time!

After all, it’s different from Alipay on Earth; back then, Taobao was dominant on its own and leveraging Taobao’s momentum, Alipay easily entered the eyes of online shoppers.

However, Lu Xiaobu now is in a disadvantaged position, making a rash move would lead to losing on all fronts.

Better to think of a foolproof plan.

If not striking, then don’t. But when striking, it must be thunderous!

However, the biggest issue is still with the banks—how to negotiate with them to agree on a collaboration is the biggest problem!

In fact, disregarding the influence from Lin Feng’s side, banks themselves are definitely resistant to Alipay!

After all, Alipay, to some extent, competes directly with banks for their bread and butter!

Even Daddy Ma, when establishing it initially, was even prepared to face imprisonment!

And now, Lu Xiaobu’s situation is hundreds of times more difficult, with immense pressure!

But, should difficulties stop Lu Xiaobu?!

Bullshit!

”Sister Lan, set up an appointment for me!”

Lu Xiaobu stood up, spirited and resolute!
