Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 319: Chapter 318 Sleep Your Numbness, Get Up and Party [2nd Update]

Two hours later, at five in the morning.

Hungover with sleepiness, Lu Xiaobu arrived at the spot where the little chili pepper was located.

The customer service girl who waited for Lu Xiaobu in the morning was already frozen solid back then.

Now, the little chili pepper was even more so, her face red and ears flushed, with snot running down her nose. She kept hugging her arms, walking around, rubbing her hands together, breathing warm air, trying every method to warm up.

Of course, she excluded the piece of clothing she had thrown on the ground.

She had said she wouldn’t wear it, and she meant it!

”Aha!”

The moment the little chili pepper saw Lu Xiaobu, she flung her cellphone into the air, sprinted and threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around Lu Xiaobu’s neck, legs dangling off the ground, hugging him like a koala.

She burrowed into Lu Xiaobu’s embrace like a cat, constantly searching for that bit of warmth.

Lu Xiaobu raised an eyebrow, somewhat more alert now.

Hehe, the current posture isn’t too bad.

Probably a lot of people want to pose like this with little chili pepper, huh?

At that time, a middle-aged woman who looked displeased, probably aggravated, passing by early in the morning on New Year’s Day appeared.

Seeing the scene before her instantly upset her.

Adhering to the principle of not letting others be pleased if she’s not, she mumbled:

”What is the world coming to these days! Do they really think nobody wakes up early? They start doing this on the street, and even if nobody sees, there are cameras, aren’t there? They have no manners at all, I don’t know what their parents fed them!”

The words, carried by the frosty wind, reached the little chili pepper’s ears.

The little chili pepper, already on the edge because of family matters, would she indulge her?

She exploded on the spot.

Like a furiously bristling alley cat, she turned her head to glare at the middle-aged woman: ”Did I eat your rice or noodles? What’s it to you? My husband and I like it this way in the street, what can you do about it?! Look all you want, take a good look and learn, and stop being so jealous when you have nothing better to do!”

The middle-aged woman was instantly silenced, her face turning shades of green and white.

She wanted to say something, but looking at the company Lu Xiaobu and she had, she didn’t dare.

In the end, she could only sulkily turn her head and walk away.

Having picked up the little chili pepper, Lu Xiaobu walked back.

He was so exhausted he couldn’t even muster the interest for a basic physiological reaction.

All he wanted now was to dive into his bed and sleep.

On the plane.

Zhou Jingyuan, this little chili pepper, had just boarded with Lu Xiaobu.

Even though the airplane’s space was plenty for a squabble, she insisted on maintaining their intimate posture, clinging onto Lu Xiaobu the entire time.

Lu Xiaobu was also delighted with it, after all it was soft, big, and comfortable.

Yes, top and bottom alike!

After deplaning, taking the car, and until they entered the villa, the little chili pepper maintained that position.

But the moment they entered the villa, she promptly let go of Lu Xiaobu, becoming the epitome of grace.

You see, why’s that?

If not for Lu Hongbin and his folks being at home.

Typical of an ugly daughter-in-law who’s shy to meet her in-laws.

...

The next day, New Year’s Day.

It was supposed to be a time for New Year’s greetings, but Lu Xiaobu ended up sleeping until the afternoon before opening his eyes.

Despite that, he still wanted to laze about in bed.

After almost twenty hours without sleep, for someone suffering from terminal laziness, this was torture.

”Xiaobu, let’s go, let’s go have some fun,” said the little chili pepper as she slipped into Lu Xiaobu’s room, instantly transforming from a lady to a spicy girl, revealing her true nature!

”Not going, you’ve been bothering me all night, what else do you want?”

Lu Xiaobu lay on the bed, listlessly saying, ”I just want to sleep now.”

”Sleep my ass, get up and party!”

The little chili pepper, as if just released from prison.

Suddenly she jumped onto Lu Xiaobu’s bed and started to flick off his covers.

For someone whose laziness is deep into their bones, can you tolerate your blankets being yanked off?

Well, Lu Xiaobu could.

Because!

He was stark naked.

And so!

Whoosh!

The blanket was flung into the air.

”Ah!”

The little chili pepper screamed.

Then he covered Little Bu with the blanket again.

But, having teased Little Bu, did she really think Little Bu would let her go?

With a countermove called ”The Salted Fish Turns Over,” Little Bu wrapped Hot Pepper up with the blanket.

”Eyah.”

Hot Pepper cried out in surprise, struggling to poke her head out from under the blanket to breathe fresh air.

”Hehe, that’ll teach you to mess with me.”

Little Bu watched with a mischievous smirk as he pinned down Zhou Jingyuan, who was covered with the blanket.

”What are you trying to do??”

Zhou Jingyuan’s pretty face instantly turned beet red.

It seemed she had gone a bit too far.

”I sure do.”

The smile on Little Bu’s lips grew more wicked by the second.

Feeling Little Bu’s breath so close, Hot Pepper felt her body go weak.

Now... things had really gone too far.

But within her heart, there lingered a hint of anticipation.

It seemed like it was their only chance to be alone!

So, she bit the bullet.

In for a penny, in for a pound.

Unexpectedly, Hot Pepper took the initiative.

She grabbed Little Bu’s head and pressed her red lips to his.

”Hmm?”

Little Bu was taken aback at first—this Hot Pepper really was fiery-tempered.

Then, his amusement grew.

As the saying goes, it’s impolite not to return a favor; you respect me an inch, I’ll return it a foot!

If a little girl wasn’t scared, what was there for him to fear?

And so, the two of them began to get into it.

After a long time, when their lips parted, both pairs of eyes were filled with emotional turbulence.

They were like two masters dueling at the peak of the Forbidden City.

It was time to use their ultimate moves!

However, perhaps due to the clash of these two great masters, a qualitative change occurred from the quantitative change.

Suddenly, thunder roared in the sky, and divine punishment descended from the heavens.

This divine punishment was truly formidable, causing both masters to cease fire instantly.

The buildup of their great moves was halted to avoid a mutually destructive outcome.

This divine punishment was...

”Xiaobu, aren’t you up yet? Jingyuan came looking for you just now.”

Father Lu knocked on the door and said.

In an instant, Little Bu and Hot Pepper were struck by the divine punishment, feeling utterly tender on the inside but scorched on the outside.

Their fighting spirit was extinguished in a flash!

”Up now.”

Little Bu sighed and replied, then rolled to the side and lay there on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

He felt sure that some bastard was messing with him; it was always this same frustrating timing!

Hot Pepper was like a child caught stealing sweets, burrowing her whole body under Little Bu’s blanket, not daring to show her face.

”Oh, okay, get up soon. We didn’t have a good New Year’s Eve feast last night; let’s have a proper meal today.”

Father Lu’s voice came through again before he left.

Little Bu looked down with another sigh, and continued to stare at the ceiling.

He didn’t want to get up!

And at this moment.

A hand stretched out from under the blanket.

Caught!

Moved!

”Don’t speak.” Zhou Jingyuan’s shy voice emerged: ”Consider it as compensation.”

Little Bu’s lips instantly curved into a smile.

That wasn’t so bad.

Indeed, the grass is always greener on the other side.

This fifth young lady, too, others’ are always better.
