Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 303: Chapter 303: Moving Lips Above [1st Update, Please Subscribe]

Lu Xiaobu spent several more days living a life of idleness and freeloading.

”Young Master, our year-end party is coming up soon. Are you going to make an appearance?”

Liang Lan asked for Lu Xiaobu’s opinion.

Actually, it didn’t make much of a difference whether the Young Master showed up or not, but she felt like he’d been a bit bored these past days, so she thought to find something fun for the Young Master to do.

”Sure, sounds like fun!”

Lu Xiaobu’s eyes lit up instantly: ”Sister Lan really gets me. Come on, reward time—you can give me an oil massage!”

”Young Master!”

Liang Lan couldn’t help but pout in exasperation.

It was always like this.

...

After confirming that Lu Xiaobu would show up, Liang Lan immediately issued the notice.

The planning of such frivolous year-end parties didn’t require her personal touch in designing and executing; she could just let her subordinates handle it.

Anyway, it’s not like planning made any real difference.

What?

You’re asking why she said planning was pointless?

Come on, let me remind you, Young Master Bu.

Have you caught on yet?!

Not yet?

Let me put it more bluntly.

Even if your plans are incredibly elaborate and superb, once Young Master Bu takes his seat, do your plans still matter?!

They’ll be torn to shreds, completely destroyed.

So, all that’s needed is to get a big venue and a warm atmosphere, as long as the Young Master can have fun and enjoy himself.

However.

To the company’s high-level executives, she said it was fine to just wing it.

And the high-level executives told the mid-level ones to be cautious.

The mid-level executives told the lower-level ones - under the premise of ensuring safety, that it was important to balance caution with entertainment.

By the time it got to the lower-level managers and the planners...

It turned into a document spanning 28 A4 pages, filled with detailed requirements for the party.

To summarize, it had to be unifying yet intense, serious yet lively, maintain the discipline of the year-end party yet ensure everyone had a good time.

So, the chief planner of the year-end party—Huo Yichen, went insane!

What the hell is this?!

Can you stop making decisions without considering the consequences?

But, complaints aside, the work still needed to be done.

He also knew it wasn’t the leaders’ fault; the moment he himself heard that Young Master Bu was going to show up, he was just as anxious, terrified something might go wrong.

After all, that was Young Master Bu, the big boss of them all.

If Young Master Bu wasn’t happy, could any of them be happy?

Due to the time constraints.

They pulled countless talents from various companies, bringing them together to work day and night planning this year-end party.

Finally, they came up with a plan that satisfied everyone.

The plan was set, and then the execution began.

Huo Yichen had previously planned and organized year-end parties at other companies, and that’s precisely why he took up the heavy responsibility of head planner this time.

So, he knew that while devising a plan was tough, execution was where the real difficulty lay.

Because there are always various surprises that won’t let things go as smoothly as you’d wish.

He figured that if they could accomplish two-thirds of their plan, that would be pretty good.

However...

He realized that he was wrong.

From the moment he played his trump card, everything went incredibly smoothly.

Just by mentioning Young Master Bu’s name...

Instantly...

The other party’s attitude would do a complete 180-degree turn!

...

Finding the venue.

What?

The venue’s already been rented out to someone else?

They wanted to host a year-end party too?

But this is for Young Master Bu.

Oh, they no longer want it? For real?

Alright then, we’ll take it!

There, the venue secured.

...

Looking for performers.

What?

You’re fully booked for the holidays and have no time?

This is Young Master Bu’s annual meeting, and Young Master Bu will personally be present.

Oh, are you available now? And you need to come to rehearse right away?

I’m sorry, but several top stars just called me, saying they want to come over.

As for you, I’ll have to think about it.

Don’t cry, don’t cry, what are you crying for, I’m telling you to come!

Look for guests.

Wait a minute, wait a minute!

Big shots, I haven’t even called you yet, why are you calling me?

Can’t you chill for a moment?!

Do you big shots have no shame?

Begging me, a low-level employee?!

I know you all want to come, but there are only so many slots available!

We have to make selections!

Go away, go away, red envelopes definitely won’t do!

Our company doesn’t roll like that, if young master Bu finds out, I’m going to have a terrible end!

I’ll consider it seriously, alright!

Hmm, guests have become the biggest problem, not because we can’t invite them, but we don’t know who to choose.

After all, they are all big shots!

Not only Huo Yichen, the chief planner, is busy, but all the companies under Xiaobu are bustling with activity.

They have to prepare the best program that represents their company image, to showcase to Young Master Bu at the annual meeting.

And with so many talented people under Young Master Bu, if their company embarrasses itself in front of others, it would truly be embarrassing.

Therefore, the performance at the annual meeting has even become the biggest task for each company, next to their performance.

Every day, leaders are hanging around at the rehearsal venue!

But as stressed as they are, they dare not recklessly offer suggestions.

After all, everyone knows Young Master Bu absolutely detests anything formulaic; you can’t hoodwink him like you could with other leaders.

Otherwise, once Young Master Bu throws a tantrum, no one can handle it!

The leaders are extremely anxious, and the employees dare not take it easy!

Everyone is working harder on their tasks, hoping to achieve some more results in this last stretch of time.

Although everyone can go, the seating arrangements differ!

Those with good performance will surely be able to sit at the front, having close contact with Young Master Bu.

That is Young Master Bu, of course they are nervous!

All companies are boiling with enthusiasm, all leaders are tense, all employees are going crazy.

And the reason for all this—because Lu Xiaobu said, ”Sure, sounds fun!”

As the saying goes, a leader’s casual command means employees run their legs off.

And for Lu Xiaobu, when he utters a word, everyone goes insane.

This is Lu Xiaobu!

So what is Lu Xiaobu doing at this moment?

Well, he’s walking the dog!

”Dumbass, come on, catch the Frisbee.”

Lu Xiaobu said to the dumbass in the park.

”Psht!”

Dumbass lets out a sarcastic sound and lies there lazily unmoved.

Like it’s just a normal dog.

”Idiot, look at that one.”

Lu Xiaobu points to a Great Dane, which leaps a good three meters high off its owner’s back and catches a disc.

”Psht!”

Dumbass makes another sarcastic sound and then stands up.

Ten minutes later.

Dumbass, like riding a horse, is mounted on the Great Dane, stepping on the Great Dane owner’s body, leaps three meters high, catches the disc, and hands it to Lu Xiaobu.

”Not bad.”

Lu Xiaobu nods with satisfaction.

Catching the disc is all that matters, the method is not important!

And the Great Dane’s owner is dumbfounded!

Who am I, where am I, what am I doing?

Your dog rides my dog to catch a Frisbee, what the hell is that?!

Mine is a Great Dane, not a horse!

And?

Why step on me?!
