Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Who is the Honest Person [Please Favorite, Please Recommend]

Lu Xiaobu and his companions, grinning mischievously, drove the RV to a quiet spot and stopped. They all hid inside, sneakily peering out.

Before long, they saw Lu Hongbin’s girlfriend leaving the school.

As many might have guessed, it was the new head teacher of Class Six, Lin Shu.

At this moment, Lin Shu had abandoned her usual classroom demeanour. Instead, with light makeup and a smiling face, she looked very happy.

”Over here.”

Lu Hongbin spotted Lin Shu and immediately started waving.

”You’re here.”

Lin Shu, unabashed, said with ease.

”Let’s go, let’s have some coffee, and then go see a movie later.”

Lu Hongbin said with a smile.

”Okay.”

Lin Shu nodded, walking side by side with Lu Hongbin.

But there weren’t any intimate gestures between them.

”Oh... I see,” Lu Xiaobu stroked his chin inside the RV. ”No wonder a new teacher could be transferred to a senior high class right before the college entrance exams, especially to head our wretched class... Turns out my big brother pulled some strings.”

”Erm... Xiaobu, actually, I think the assignment of the new head teacher to your class wasn’t arranged by Big Brother Lu.”

Wu Qianmin said with a bitter smile, ”Don’t you know that your class has another important role in our school, which is to serve as a trial?”

”A trial?” Lu Xiaobu seemed puzzled.

”Yeah, a trial – a trial of the mind and character. Every new teacher is assigned to your class for a while to toughen up their psychological strength.”

Wu Qianmin explained, ”Haven’t you noticed that your substitute teachers change every so often?”

”I hadn’t paid attention to that. But now that you mention it, it does seem like new faces crop up frequently,” Lu Xiaobu shrugged as he spoke.

”This is the only contribution your lousy class has made – almost every teacher that comes out of your class sheds their naivety and becomes much more mature.” Wu Qianmin shook her head with a wry smile, ”I can’t even begin to imagine the torment you put those teachers through – how dreadful it must be!”

Meanwhile, the conversation between Lu Hongbin and Lin Shu confirmed this fact.

”Hongbin, how did you do it? You actually got me into the school?” Lin Shu asked with a faint blush.

”Hehe, I have some connections with the school, but they haven’t been hard on you, have they?”

Lu Hongbin feigned ignorance as he spoke.

”No,” Lin Shu shook her head and said, ”It’s just that with the college entrance exams coming up, there’s a lot of psychological pressure in leading a senior class.”

Though the head of studies and the principal had made it clear that it didn’t matter what state Class Six was in, as if it were just an internship.

But as a teacher, she couldn’t think that way.

She still wanted to teach her students as best as possible.

Even if their academic performance was already set.

At the very least, she had to teach them the principles of being a good person!

”What?!” Lu Hongbin’s face suddenly darkened, ”I’m going to talk to them! How can a new teacher take on a senior class?!”

”Hey, don’t make a fuss.” Lin Shu quickly held back Lu Hongbin, ”It’s the school’s rule; everyone is treated the same. Besides, it’s already good that they arranged for me to get in through your connections. Let’s not trouble them any more.”

”Which class?”

Lu Hongbin took a deep breath and asked.

This matter wasn’t over.

”Class Six,” Lin Shu replied.

”Erm... Alright.”

Lu Hongbin’s annoyance dissipated, and he let out a wry smile, ”That’s fine.”

”What’s fine?” Lin Shu was puzzled.

”Nothing.”

As Lu Hongbin spoke, he took the opportunity to grab Lin Shu’s hand, holding it tightly while he looked up at the sky.

”Mm...”

Lin Shu’s cheeks flushed a deep red, and although she struggled lightly and failed to pull away, she let out a light sigh and resigned herself to the situation.

Lu Hongbin had been reassured when he heard it was Class Six.

After all, Xiaobu was there and wouldn’t let Lin Shu be aggrieved.

What?

You say Lu Xiaobu doesn’t know?!

Heh, as if I couldn’t see that huge RV right behind us!

This rascally kid has learned to watch his big brother make a fool of himself.

When we get back, I’m cutting off his pocket money... Erm, except he seems to be richer than me.

Fine, then!

Lu Xiaobu curled his lips at the scene, ”My dad still calls my big bro an honest man? Look at you, still honest? I’m the honest one here.”

”Um... Honest Young Master, could you maybe move your hand down a bit?”

Liang Lan’s face turned red as she whispered softly into Lu Xiaobu’s ear.

She then pushed down the hand of Lu Xiaobu, which had been climbing up her stockings and was about to reach an indescribable area.

Seriously, this Young Master, the moment you look away, he starts to act like a hooligan.

”Cough cough.” Lu Xiaobu coughed nonchalantly: ”Just watch the show, watch the show.”

They arrived at the coffee shop.

Lu Hongbin naturally chose a window couple’s booth and took Lin Shu inside.

Lu Xiaobu and his group also crowded in.

”Handsome guy and beautiful lady, how about giving up your seats to us?”

Lu Xiaobu found a booth that had a perfect view of Lu Hongbin’s actions, and said to the couple inside, ”I’ll cover all your expenses here today.”

Hearing this, the young couple immediately nodded and gave up their seats to Lu Xiaobu and his party.

Lu Xiaobu sat down, ordered a cup of coffee, made a hole in a magazine, and continued watching the drama unfold.

”Sorry, I need to use the restroom.”

Lin Shu suddenly spoke up, picking up her bag as if she had something to take care of.

After saying that, Lin Shu left.

Then...

”You rascal, you’re enjoying watching your big bro’s embarrassment, aren’t you.”

Lu Hongbin gritted his teeth as he glared at Lu Xiaobu beside him.

”Go ahead and bite me!” Lu Xiaobu shamelessly responded, ”Honestly, big bro, you’re no good at love.”

”Go away, it’s not your turn to lecture me. Mind your own business!”

Lu Hongbin’s old face turned red as he tried to shoo Xiaobu away.

”I won’t. Besides, I’m worried about my new homeroom teacher being bullied by others. As for you? Who are you to me?”

Lu Xiaobu earnestly spouted nonsense.

”You little brat, I...”

Lu Hongbin’s brows shot up.

”Cough cough cough, she’s back, she’s back.”

Lu Xiaobu caught a glimpse of Lin Shu returning and quickly coughed a few times.

Lu Hongbin quickly sat up straight and finally said, ”Right now your sister-in-law still doesn’t know my identity, thinks I’m just an ordinary office worker, don’t blow my cover.”

”Sure, no big deal,” Lu Xiaobu quickly nodded his head.

Lin Shu came back.

”Hong Bin, were you talking to someone?” Lin Shu sat down and asked, ”Do you know them?”

”No, I was just talking to myself just now,” Lu Hongbin hurriedly said.

”Oh.”

Lin Shu nodded but still looked suspiciously over at Lu Xiaobu.

She clearly heard Lu Hongbin talking to someone over there just before.

Seeing this scene.

Lu Hongbin immediately became nervous.

If she found out, the plan would be ruined.

And at that moment...

Underneath the magazine, Lu Xiaobu pursed his lips—it was up to him to save the day.

His eyes swiveled, revealing a hint of mischief—Well, might as well give you two a little help.
