Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 73: Chapter 73: With One Slash, The Empress Dies

Suppressing the ache in her heart, the Empress took out a treasure from her Storage Ring.

A brilliant golden light instantly illuminated the surroundings, like a golden sun, dazzling and blinding.

Upon closer inspection, within the golden light was a golden talisman. Golden flames danced upon it like sprites of fire, and it was engraved with complex, profound patterns. It was clearly no ordinary object.

”You little wretch, you can die without regrets, for you will fall to the Golden Sun Incineration Charm!”

The Empress’s eyes were blood-red as she glared at Su Han, her killing intent stronger than ever before.

The Golden Sun Incineration Charm was an exceedingly rare Low-Grade Dao Charm. Its power far surpassed that of any ordinary Spirit Talisman or Magical Charm and was equivalent to an Earth-Rank Martial Technique. This was a treasure given to her by her father from the Seven Stars Sect, which she had cherished for many years, reluctant to ever use.

Even during her intense battle with Su Han earlier, she had not planned to use this Dao Charm. After all, talismans were single-use consumables; once used, they were gone forever. But now, with her left arm severed, she was nearly mad with rage and could no longer care about such things.

I must kill Su Han at all costs!

WHOOSH!

She poured what little Spiritual Energy she had left into the talisman, and soon, the Golden Sun Incineration Charm was fully activated. A golden flame emerged, completely consuming the Talisman Paper before shooting into the sky and piercing through the clouds.

The next moment, everyone in the Imperial Capital looked up, their faces pale with shock.

High in the sky, a massive golden fireball appeared. It blazed brilliantly, radiating an intense heat, like a sun plummeting to destroy the world. Under this terrifying heat, all the rainwater between heaven and earth instantly evaporated. The dark clouds were baked away by the golden fireball, rapidly dissipating until they vanished completely, revealing a clear blue sky once more.

The golden sun appeared, and the dark clouds scattered. This sight, reflected in the eyes of all who watched, was like a divine miracle, inspiring an irresistible urge to prostrate themselves in worship.

At this moment, Su Han’s gaze sharpened, a sense of deadly crisis rising within him that he had never felt before. The power of the Golden Sun Incineration Charm was far too strong for him to withstand in his current state. Moreover, he had just used Heaven and Earth Slash, which had depleted his Demonic Qi and left him incredibly weak.

Retreat!

Su Han made a snap decision, using the Character Technique of Motion to fall back rapidly.

To knowingly fight an unbeatable foe is the act of a fool!

Although Su Han wanted revenge, he did not want to die. I promised Fairy Sister Yun Xian and Tongyan that I would find them alive. How can I die here?

”You can’t escape!”

Seeing Su Han retreat, the Empress was not the least bit flustered. If the Golden Sun Incineration Charm could be dodged so easily, it would not be her strongest trump card.

At that moment, the five-hundred-meter golden fireball in the sky finished forming. The next instant, it came crashing down. Like a meteor descending from heaven or the sun itself falling from the sky, it carried a terrifying power that no mortal could withstand as it ruthlessly smashed toward Su Han.

The golden fireball moved with extreme speed, rushing down with a powerful heatwave that instantly enveloped the area around him. The heatwave became a fierce wind, affecting Su Han’s speed. The very air twisted from the scorching heat, making him feel as if he were trapped in a furnace—parched and about to be roasted alive. Under this terrifying, oppressive heat, Su Han had no chance of escaping the golden fireball’s range.

”Kill!”

Seeing that escape was futile, Su Han stopped wasting energy. It was not in his nature to sit and wait for death. He gripped his Black Blade tightly, his golden Qi-Blood surging as he faced the fireball head-on. Even facing near-certain death, he was determined to fight for that one sliver of hope.

However, just as he prepared to fight to the death, a cold rush of Devouring Heaven Demonic Qi burst from the Ghostly Face Mask. It spread instantly through his limbs and bones, bringing a refreshing coolness to his entire body as the oppressive heatwave vanished.

But this surge of Devouring Heaven Demonic Qi did not converge in Su Han’s Dantian or restore his Combat Power. Instead, to his astonishment, it soared into the sky and began to intertwine.

The next moment, a basin-sized black hole appeared above Su Han’s head. It was dark and profound, like a place of exile for the gods.

This was Su Han’s Black Hole Phenomenon, but he had not activated it. The Devouring Heaven Demonic Qi from the Ghostly Face Mask had condensed it on its own. All the while, Devouring Heaven Demonic Qi continued to gush from the Ghostly Face Mask, forming a black pillar as thick as an arm that shot straight into the sky and connected with the Black Hole Phenomenon.

The basin-sized Black Hole Phenomenon began to expand rapidly, reaching a hundred meters in diameter in the blink of an eye.

The hundred-meter black hole was deep and boundless. It seemed to connect to a desolate void, capable of devouring everything.

Just as the hundred-meter black hole finished forming, the golden fireball arrived. The next moment, the golden fireball collided with it. From a distance, it looked as if a black hole was devouring the sun—a sight that left countless onlookers staring, utterly dumbfounded.

All other colors vanished from the world, leaving only gold and black, as if it were the beginning of creation when heaven and earth were first separated.

Everyone, including Su Han and the Empress, looked up, their eyes fixed on the golden fireball and the hundred-meter black hole. The Golden Sun Incineration Charm was the Empress’s strongest trump card, and she desperately hoped it would kill Su Han to eliminate a future threat. Meanwhile, the hundred-meter black hole was Su Han’s only hope. He prayed it could withstand the golden fireball, giving him the chance to slay the Empress and claim his revenge.

There was no loud explosion, no violent fluctuations—only the space around them twisting, threatening to destroy everything.

Under the collective gaze of the crowd, the hundred-meter black hole, like a giant maw, began to continuously devour the golden flames. As the fire was consumed, the golden fireball’s radiance dimmed, and its massive five-hundred-meter form shrank steadily.

This scene made the Empress’s heart sink to the abyss, while Su Han’s eyes shone with ecstatic joy.

Ultimately, the hundred-meter black hole completely devoured the golden fireball until it vanished without a trace. Having served its purpose, the black hole then shrank and dissipated, returning to the Ghostly Face Mask.

The golden fireball and the black hole were gone. The dark clouds and heavy rain had also vanished. An azure sky emerged, and the world seemed renewed, as if freshly washed by the storm.

Now is my chance!

Su Han swiftly used the Character Technique of Motion, turning to strike at the Empress. The Empress had played her strongest card and was severely wounded with a severed arm. This was the perfect opportunity to kill her.

Isn’t this the moment I’ve fought for all along?

Seeing Su Han charge toward her, the Empress’s expression changed drastically. This is bad! Casting aside all dignity, she turned to flee pathetically. But Su Han was too fast. He caught up to her in the blink of an eye.

”This slash will be your funeral!”

The killing intent in Su Han’s eyes surged. Holding the blade in his left hand, he channeled his golden Qi-Blood and the power of his Great Luo Golden Bone. He even activated the Character Secret of Combat, focusing every last bit of his strength into this single slash.

”No!” the Empress screamed in terror, but she had no way to block this attack.

With a flash of the blade, a head flew into the air, spraying blood in all directions.

With a single slash, the Empress fell. Vengeance was served.
