Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: I’ll Take Your Head in Ten Days

The Great Elder’s face was still a mask of anger and murderous intent, his wide-open eyes blazing with furious hatred.

But then his expression froze completely. The light in his eyes dimmed rapidly until it vanished.

THUD!

The Great Elder’s head fell to the ground, rolling away like a ball.

Qin Xiong witnessed it all. His pupils constricted as a furious, earth-shattering rage roiled in his heart.

At that moment, the Qin Family’s courtyard was littered with corpses, the stench of blood thick and pungent. Not even half an hour had passed since Su Han had made his move, yet in that short time, over a hundred Qin Family servants had died, and all three Great Elders had been wiped out.

When had the Qin Family ever suffered such a devastating loss? This didn’t even account for Qin Feng and the other family disciples who had already fallen at Su Han’s hand. With every life lost, Qin Xiong’s killing intent toward Su Han intensified, now reaching its absolute peak.

”Aaaargh! You little beast! I swear on my life I will kill you!” Qin Xiong roared at the sky, his bellow shaking the air. His bloodshot eyes, brimming with visceral hatred, were locked on Su Han as if he were about to devour him whole.

BOOM!

The five-hundred-meter storm dragon that Qin Xiong had conjured using the Formation was already upon Su Han. This rampaging beast seemed intent on shredding everything in its path to pieces.

Su Han activated his Dragon Phoenix Protection, powered by his Sacred Body’s Qi-Blood. However, his previous strike had exhausted his strength, weakening the defensive technique. He was sent flying. The Dragon Phoenix Protection held for only a moment before the storm dragon shattered it.

Finally, Su Han crashed through a house and collapsed amidst the rubble. His face was pale as he coughed up mouthfuls of blood, staining his black clothes a deep crimson. He was severely injured.

Su Han was indeed powerful. The Ghostly Face Mask allowed him to cross the chasm between realms and reach the First Layer of the Heavenly Human Realm. With his Sacred Body and the Black Blade, he could even slay the Great Elder, who was at the Fifth Layer of the Heavenly Human Realm.

But Qin Xiong was different. He was a powerhouse at the First Layer of the Phenomenon Realm. Even without using his Phenomenon, his terrifying strength was not something Su Han could withstand. Moreover, with the powerful Storm Formation at his disposal, Qin Xiong’s strength was enhanced by an additional thirty percent, making him an even more impossible opponent for Su Han.

However, Su Han’s target this time wasn’t Qin Xiong. By slaying the three Elders, he had already achieved his goal. Su Han was desperate for revenge, but he was not recklessly impulsive.

To knowingly face an unbeatable enemy is unwise!

Indeed, Su Han was no match for Qin Xiong, but he possessed one advantage that Qin Xiong did not: the tenfold speed of the Character Technique of Motion. This was his greatest advantage. With such speed, he could attack or retreat at will.

Right now, with his Demonic Qi depleted and his body severely injured, continuing the fight with Qin Xiong was unrealistic. Furthermore, given Qin Xiong’s strength amplified by the Storm Formation, Su Han might not prevail even if he entered his Demonized State.

Therefore, he decided to make a strategic retreat.

WHOOSH!

He executed the Character Technique of Motion. Despite being suppressed by the Storm Formation, he still moved with impressive speed.

”You can’t escape!” Qin Xiong roared, quickly giving chase.

Su Han had stormed his home and slain three of his elders. If he let him escape today, Qin Xiong felt his mind might actually break.

RUMBLE!

The five-hundred-meter storm dragon reformed and lunged at Su Han once again. At the same time, Qin Xiong, wielding a sharp spear, closed in from another direction.

An enraged Qin Xiong was terrifyingly powerful, posing an unprecedented threat to the severely injured Su Han.

But Su Han’s eyes remained unnervingly calm. He pushed the Character Technique of Motion to its limit, his body becoming a flash of lightning that weaved and dodged through the incoming attacks.

”KILL!”

Qin Xiong’s aura surged as he unleashed a fierce spear gleam, cutting off Su Han’s retreat. He and the storm dragon now had him cornered, determined to land the final blow.

”Dragon Phoenix Protection!”

Su Han once again spurred his Sacred Body to manifest the defense, but this time it was extremely dim, its power a pale imitation of what it was before.

As the spear gleam closed in, the Dragon Phoenix Protection held for only a moment before being pierced. The attack then slammed into the Black Blade. Su Han gripped his weapon to block but was utterly unable to withstand the immense force.

He was sent flying backward once more, spitting out a large mouthful of fresh blood as his injuries worsened. However, he had been sent flying in a direction that let him evade the storm dragon and approach the edge of the Formation. He had intentionally taken the hit, using its force to hasten his escape.

WHOOSH!

With a great leap, like a dragon diving into the sea or a tiger vanishing into the mountains, he bolted through the Qin Family’s main gate, escaping the confines of the Storm Formation.

Instantly, the Formation’s suppression vanished, and Su Han’s Character Technique of Motion was restored to its full tenfold speed. Now, there was no chance of Qin Xiong catching him.

”In ten days, I will take your head!” Su Han’s cold parting words hung in the air as he fled.

BOOM!

A volcanic fury erupted from Qin Xiong, the shockwave shaking the very void and causing the walls of the Qin residence to collapse. Spear in hand, he chased out of the residence, madly drawing upon the Power of Heaven and Earth and unleashing a torrent of Martial Techniques in a frenzied attempt to stop Su Han.

However, the Character Technique of Motion was one of the fastest techniques in the world. Even with only entry-level proficiency, Su Han’s tenfold speed was far too great for Qin Xiong to match. Moreover, the area outside was filled with dense crowds and a labyrinth of houses. The moment Su Han darted into the crowded alleyways, he became even harder to track.

Eventually, Qin Xiong completely lost his trail. Insane with rage, his spear roared as it demolished building after building, the terrifying destructive power killing dozens of innocent bystanders in the process.

”You little beast! This won’t end until one of us is dead!” Qin Xiong roared at the heavens, tears of blood streaming down his face, his anger pushing him to the brink of madness.

Such a massive commotion could not be concealed. Soon, news of the massacre at the Qin residence spread like wildfire throughout the Imperial Capital.

”Have you heard? The Ninth Prince, all by himself, actually attacked the Qin Family. He slaughtered over a hundred people, including three of the Qin Family’s powerful elders!”

”What Ninth Prince? He’s already severed all ties with the imperial family. He’s just a commoner like us now. Besides, he ruined the Great Crown Prince, which makes him my sworn enemy.”

”That Su Han is detestable! He’s a prince, yet he acts with no integrity. Not only did he ruin the Great Crown Prince, but he also dared to attack the Qin Family. He is truly strong, though. Even surrounded, he managed to counterattack and kill three Qin Family Elders. He might have escaped this time, but I have a feeling he’ll strike again.”

The people were shocked by the tragedy that had befallen the Qin Family and by Su Han’s terrifying strength. Although his reputation was in tatters, his formidable power was utterly astounding.

Once again, the entire Imperial Capital was rocked by the name Su Han.
