Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 67: Chapter 67: I’m Here to Kill You

”Guard Army Commander!”

The Guard Army Commander’s face turned pale with shock, consumed by an immense fear. The Imperial Uncle had been killed right under his watch. If he were to be held accountable, he would be in deep trouble. What shocked him even more, however, was Su Han’s ability to kill the Imperial Uncle. He knew the Imperial Uncle was a formidable practitioner of the Phenomenon Realm, backed by the Empress herself, with a deep foundation and numerous methods at his disposal.

Although he was shocked by the Imperial Uncle’s death and Su Han’s strength, he was far more concerned with saving his own life.

”Su Han, by defying your superiors and killing the Imperial Uncle, you have committed a heinous crime! Surrender peacefully and come with me to see the King!”

The Guard Army Commander gripped his war lance and lunged toward Su Han. At that moment, Su Han was also seriously injured, presenting the perfect opportunity to capture him.

Unfortunately for the Commander, Su Han possessed the Character Technique of Motion. His speed was so great that not even Qin Xiong had been able to keep up with him, let alone the Guard Army Commander. In the end, the commander could only watch helplessly as Su Han escaped.

”Search the entire city! We must catch him!” the Guard Army Commander ordered, his face ashen.

Soon, the entire Guard Army was mobilized in a massive search for Su Han, while news of what had transpired was immediately relayed to the royal palace.

”Brother...”

A mournful wail echoed from within the Palace of Eternal Spring, shaking the entire imperial harem and causing countless maids and eunuchs to tremble with fear and anxiety.

RUMBLE!

Soon after, the sounds of violent destruction emanated from the Palace of Eternal Spring. The Empress had destroyed everything inside, but it did nothing to quell the rage in her heart. With disheveled hair and a ferocious expression, her phoenix eyes seethed with a rage and killing intent so intense they threatened to spill over.

”You lowly cur, how dare you annihilate my Qin Family and kill my brother! For this hatred, this vengeance, you will pay with your life!”

Clenching her fists, the Empress was consumed by a deep-seated hatred and could no longer remain idle.

WHOOSH!

She strode out of the Palace of Eternal Spring and headed for the palace gates.

You lowly cur, so you want to lure me out of the palace? I’ll grant your wish!

The Empress had long guessed Su Han’s intentions. However, she had previously believed that Qin Xiong and the Shadow Guards would be more than enough to handle him, so she had not risked involving herself directly. But now, with Qin Xiong dead and Su Han’s power growing increasingly difficult to contain, she had no choice but to take the risk.

She didn’t believe the risk was very great. After all, her own strength was at the Ninth Layer of the Heavenly Human Realm, and she was protected by ten Shadow Guards. Furthermore, the moment she stepped out of the royal palace, the Guard Army Commander, having been alerted, rushed to her side. With all these precautions, if she still couldn’t deal with a single Su Han, she might as well kill herself.

”Stop the search. He will come to me!” the Empress commanded the Guard Army Commander. The order puzzled the commander, but he didn’t dare question it. He swiftly recalled the Guard Army to protect the Empress.

This series of events left the citizens of the Imperial Capital deeply unsettled. Everyone was on edge, the former peace shattered.

”Has Su Han gone mad? That he alone dared to attack the Qin Family and even kill the Imperial Uncle!”

”The Imperial Uncle was a powerful practitioner of the Phenomenon Realm. No matter how strong Su Han is, how could he possibly have killed him? How did he do it?”

”This is all Su Han’s fault! If it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t be stuck hiding in our homes. May the heavens have mercy and see him brought to justice soon!”

The populace buzzed with discussion, some shocked by Su Han’s strength, others complaining about the volatile situation.

Meanwhile, Su Han had returned to the Lu Family residence. The estate was now deserted. After being ransacked by the Guard Army, it had been reduced to rubble and ruins. He went back to the room he had shared with Fairy Sister Yun Xian, a place that held warm memories for him. By now, he had also heard the news about the Empress.

So you’re lying in wait for me? You want to kill me, just as I want to kill you. We’ll see who emerges victorious!

This time, the Empress was using an overt strategy. Although Su Han knew the danger, he had no intention of backing down. Annihilating the Qin Family was secondary; his true objective was to kill the Empress.

First, I must heal.

Taking out Healing Pills from his Bronze Ring, Su Han quickly swallowed them and began to recuperate. He had plundered the Qin Family’s treasury, and the Storage Ring on his finger now held more than enough treasures to cover his recovery needs.

As long as Su Han did not appear, the Empress would not return to the palace. Moreover, the Shadow Guards and the Guard Army Commander at her side were only at the Heavenly Human Realm. While there were certainly experts of the Phenomenon Realm and even the Physique Realm within the palace, the Empress was using herself as bait to lure out the big fish, Su Han. She could not appear too powerful, lest she frighten him away. It could be said that the Empress was truly risking her life this time. A single misstep, and even the palace’s strongest experts might not reach her in time to help.

You lowly cur, come. I am waiting for you here. This time, we will settle our grudge once and for all!

The hatred in the Empress’s eyes was intense, her murderous intent surging as she awaited Su Han’s arrival.

「A day later.」

Su Han’s injuries had completely healed. His Sacred Body possessed vigorous Qi-Blood and an inherently strong self-healing ability. Combined with the Spiritual Medicine Pills he had obtained from the Qin Family’s treasury, his recovery was naturally swift.

However, he was not in a hurry to seek revenge. Instead, he took out Qin Xiong’s corpse.

”Devouring Heaven Demonic Art!”

Su Han activated the technique, quickly devouring and refining Qin Xiong’s body. Amid a surge in his aura, Su Han’s cultivation level rose again, reaching the Second Layer of the Heavenly Human Realm.

In addition, he had also acquired Qin Xiong’s Storage Ring, which contained numerous treasures, including a long spear. This spear was a Superior Grade Magic Artifact and had been Qin Xiong’s personal weapon. Activating the Great Luo Golden Body, Su Han absorbed the Golden Spirit Energy from within the spear to temper the fourth of his Great Luo Golden Bones.

After a day and a night, the fourth Great Luo Golden Bone was fully refined. Su Han’s left hand shone with a brilliant golden glow, exuding a profound aura, like the hand of an ancient god.

It’s time to settle our grudge.

Su Han rose to his feet and walked outside. Not only had he fully recovered, but his strength had risen by a layer, and with four Great Luo Golden Bones, he was stronger than ever before.

This battle would be the decisive one.

Outside the royal palace, the killing intent in the Empress’s heart continued to build, waiting for the moment to erupt. Around her stood ten Shadow Guards and the Guard Army Commander. Tens of thousands of guardsmen also surrounded the area, clearing it completely.

SPLASH! SPLASH!

The heavens were not kind. Dark clouds covered the sky and a heavy downpour began, soaking everyone present. Yet, no one moved; they stood as still as sculptures, waiting.

Suddenly, the Empress felt a stirring and looked up. Through the heavy rain, she saw a figure approaching slowly. His intense killing intent was palpable even from a great distance. Dressed in black with black hair, his killing intent billowed to the heavens. He was like a God of Slaughter walking the mortal plane.

”You lowly cur, you’ve finally come!”

The Empress stared at Su Han, the killing intent in her eyes so tangible it seemed to freeze the very rain around them.

At that moment, Su Han raised his head. His gaze cut through the crowd and collided with the Empress’s in mid-air. The killing intent that had been building for so long finally erupted from the depths of his heart, transforming into four ice-cold words:

”I. Came. To. Kill.”
