Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 66: Chapter 66: Ambush and Kill Qin Xiong

”How is this possible?” Qin Xiong stared, his eyes wide with shock and terror.

He was astonished on two fronts: first, that Su Han had survived his Earth Rank Martial Technique, and second, that Su Han could control the Storm Formation. Every Formation had a control object, and aside from the Array Master who set it up, only the person holding this object could manipulate the Great Formation. Su Han was clearly neither of these. Furthermore, hadn’t he already destroyed the Storm Formation with his Black Blade? How could it still possess such tremendous might?

While Qin Xiong reeled from shock, Su Han was pleasantly surprised. The white-haired man’s skill with formations was celestial, truly that of a Divine Formation Master. By grasping just a fraction of that knowledge, Su Han could wield such formidable power.

In Su Han’s eyes, the Storm Formation was merely a Low Grade Array, as malleable as a child’s toy. He could disrupt its Formation Patterns just as easily as he could usurp control of it. Qin Xiong’s Annihilation Spear Technique was terrifyingly powerful. Without the Storm Formation, Su Han wouldn’t have dared to face it head-on. Although he was now wounded, the outcome was still well within his acceptable limits.

”Impossible! This is the Qin Family’s Great Formation, and I have the control object right here! How can you possibly be controlling it?” Qin Xiong shook his head violently, refusing to believe this fact. He took out the control object, attempting to wrest back command of the Storm Formation.

To his horror, while there was nothing wrong with the control object, the Storm Formation remained unresponsive. He had never encountered such a situation before. Su Han... what exactly did he do to the Storm Formation?

Qin Xiong was deeply shaken, but Su Han pressed his attack. Though covered in wounds, he knew Qin Xiong’s injuries were far more severe. With the Storm Formation at my command, this is my only chance to kill him. If he escapes the Qin Residence, it will be incredibly difficult to get another opportunity!

”Storm Dragon!” Su Han roared, pouring his power into the Storm Formation. The formation drew its energy from Spirit Stones and other treasures, so Su Han only needed a sliver of Demonic Qi to activate it and command its power.

The storm dragon Qin Xiong could summon was five hundred meters long. But even though Su Han’s cultivation realm was lower than Qin Xiong’s, his Formation Mastery was beyond anything the man could possibly imagine.

BOOM!

The Formation Patterns blazed to life as the storm coalesced, forming a massive dragon six hundred meters long. By controlling it with his power at the Heavenly Human Realm, Su Han had summoned a force even greater than Qin Xiong’s.

”This...” Qin Xiong’s eyes nearly bulged from their sockets as he stared at the storm dragon in utter disbelief.

Under Su Han’s control, the colossal dragon roared and charged straight for Qin Xiong. Executing the Annihilation Spear Technique had taken a great toll on Qin Xiong, leaving him with only twenty to thirty percent of his peak strength. He was completely unable to resist the formidable storm dragon.

BANG!

The storm dragon slammed into Qin Xiong, flinging him back over a hundred meters. He crashed through three or four palatial buildings, sending a cloud of dust into the air.

Su Han stood atop the storm dragon’s head and gave chase. Last time, he had been the one using a blast’s recoil to escape the Qin Residence; he wouldn’t give Qin Xiong the same chance. The six-hundred-meter storm dragon roared as it tore through the sky. With his golden Qi-Blood surging, Su Han resembled a Divine General riding a dragon into battle.

”Flee!”

Qin Xiong flew out from the ruins, his face deathly pale. He coughed up blood continuously, his injuries now even more severe. He glanced at Su Han, then immediately turned to flee. He knew that even though Su Han was also severely injured, the Storm Formation was the decisive factor in this battle.

As long as he could escape the Qin Family grounds and the range of the Storm Formation, he would live. Then, he could rally the Guard Army to surround the Qin Residence, and Su Han would have no way to escape, even if he had wings! Although it was humiliating to flee in such a state, when forced to choose between life and dignity, he decisively chose the former.

”Body Binding Technique!”

Watching the retreating figure, Su Han raised his right hand and pointed from afar. Instantly, his spiritual power surged from him, forming a Divine Prohibition. This was a minor Divine Prohibition from the Divine Prohibition Heavenly Method, and its Might was unimaginable. Although Su Han was only in the Heavenly Human Realm, Qin Xiong was also heavily injured, and the Body Binding Technique landed on him instantly.

Body Binding Technique: Binds the Physical Body, rendering it immobile!

Like a statue, Qin Xiong froze mid-flight, unable to move even a finger. He could only watch in horror as the storm dragon closed in.

What is this? he roared in his mind, circulating his Spiritual Energy and flaring his spiritual power to break free.

With Su Han’s current strength, the Body Binding Technique could only restrain Qin Xiong for three seconds at most, but that was more than enough.

The six-hundred-meter storm dragon roared as it arrived, opening its massive jaws to bite down on Qin Xiong.

”I’ll fight you to the death!”

As death loomed, Qin Xiong erupted with a potential he had never known he possessed. A wild aura burst from him, and in the very instant the storm dragon bit down, he successfully broke free from the Body Binding Technique’s hold.

RUMBLE!

His spear struck out like a dragon, fierce and sharp. Qin Xiong even used his life-preserving treasure, defending with every ounce of strength he had. The storm dragon let out a mournful cry as cracks spiderwebbed across its form, before it finally shattered in a deafening explosion.

Qin Xiong was sent flying by the shockwave, landing just outside the range of the Storm Formation.

Qin Xiong gagged, spitting out a large mouthful of fresh blood. He was covered in injuries, his life force was fading, and he was weakened to his absolute limit. He had exhausted his life-preserving treasures to block the storm dragon. Now, his Spiritual Energy was depleted, his Physical Body was gravely injured, and less than a tenth of his original strength remained. In his current state, even an ordinary Martial Artist could kill him.

But he had finally escaped the Storm Formation. Ahead, a group of figures was rapidly approaching—it was unmistakably the Guard Army.

”Quick, save me!”

Seeing the Guard Army, a powerful sense of hope surged through Qin Xiong, and he screamed with all his remaining might. The Guard Army spotted Qin Xiong lying in a pool of his own blood. Shocked, they immediately rushed toward him.

However, at that moment, a blood-stained figure chased out from the Qin Residence—it was Su Han!

Su Han had leapt off the storm dragon just before it was destroyed, so his injuries hadn’t worsened. However, the Storm Formation itself was now completely broken and unusable.

Seeing Su Han in pursuit, absolute terror seized Qin Xiong’s heart. He began to crawl desperately towards the Guard Army, using both his hands and feet.

”Audacious Su Han, stop right there!” The Guard Army Commander had arrived. He was a powerful expert at the Eighth Layer of the Heavenly Human Realm and was charging forward to rescue Qin Xiong. But he was too far away, and his speed was no match for Su Han’s.

In the blink of an eye, Su Han caught up to Qin Xiong. Black Blade in hand, he mercilessly slashed down.

”No!”

Filled with utter despair, Qin Xiong used the last of his strength to crawl toward the Guard Army Commander, his only hope for survival. Yet as the blade’s light flashed, Qin Xiong felt a coldness at his neck.

His eyes widened, staring blankly at the approaching Guard Army Commander. They were filled with an intense desire to live, but in the next instant, darkness consumed his vision, and his life was extinguished.

Qin Xiong was dead.
