Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: The Dominant Tongyan

Qin Feng was dead?

Staring at his body, which had been cleaved in two, everyone turned deathly pale in disbelief. This was Qin Feng—the Marquis who anchored the Tianqing Dynasty, the leader of the Qin Family’s younger generation, and a genius possessing the Golden Spirit Body. Such a figure, destined to shine brilliantly and become renowned throughout the world, had actually died here. This... this was simply inconceivable!

The onlookers were shocked to their core, their faces pale with horror. No one had expected Su Han not only to defeat Qin Feng but to actually dare to kill him. With Qin Feng dead, the Qin Family would surely hunt Su Han to the ends of the earth. Given their overwhelming power, not even Su Han’s status as a prince could save him. Furthermore, the Qin Family had the support of the Empress and was also backed by the Great Crown Prince, whose power was at its zenith. Su Han had brought a true calamity upon himself!

”AAAAAHHHH! You dared to kill my son! I will kill you and send you to accompany him in death!”

Watching his own son die, Qin Xiong instantly lost control. His terrifying aura swept out like a tempest, churning the wind and clouds. The bystanders caught in this pressure suffered heavy injuries and retreated again and again. Su Han found himself enduring an unprecedented force, like a small boat on the verge of capsizing, threatened with destruction at any moment.

Qin Xiong, a warrior of the Phenomenon Realm, was overwhelmingly powerful. Even if Su Han’s strength were to double, he still could not resist him. But he felt no regret, nor did he shrink back.

Those who provoke me shall meet their death! He was lucky to escape last time, but I will not let him go again. Besides, if I don’t even dare to kill Qin Feng, how could I ever hope to kill the Great Crown Prince? Even if Qin Xiong is impossibly strong, I will not retreat a single step.

Su Han’s gaze was calm and resolute. Facing the furiously charging Qin Xiong, the Demonic Qi within his body began to surge. He was prepared to accept the Black Blade’s temptation and enter a Demonized State. He did not want to die, so his only option was to fight to the death.

KILL! KILL! KILL!

Su Han’s killing intent was bone-chilling. Gripping the Black Blade tightly, he prepared for battle.

Just at that moment, a figure approached rapidly from afar, appearing in their midst in the blink of an eye. The newcomer was none other than Elder Kui!

His expression was solemn, his beard and hair flying in the wind. A powerful pressure surged from him, instantly suppressing Qin Xiong’s aura.

”Mysterious Rank High-Level Martial Technique: Luo Tian Palm!”

Elder Kui raised his right hand and struck out at Qin Xiong. Instantly, a gigantic palm a thousand meters in size materialized between heaven and earth. As solid as a real hand with clearly defined lines, it bore down on Qin Xiong like the crushing weight of Mount Tai.

Qin Xiong’s expression changed drastically. He retaliated with all his might, but it was useless. He was sent flying by the palm strike and crashed into the ground, leaving a human-shaped crater several meters deep. This was only because Elder Kui had held back; otherwise, that single palm strike could have killed Qin Xiong. After all, Elder Kui was a master of the Physique Realm, an entire Great Realm higher than Qin Xiong. How could Qin Xiong possibly withstand him?

Coughing up blood, Qin Xiong climbed out of the crater. His face was pale, but his injuries were not too severe. However, the look on his face and in his eyes was unprecedentedly grim.

”This is a matter between my Qin Family and Su Han. Why is the Myriad Treasures Pavilion intervening?” Qin Xiong stared fixedly at Elder Kui, his voice sharp with accusation. The death of Qin Feng was a massive blow to him; at that moment, he wanted nothing more than to tear Su Han to pieces and scatter his ashes to the winds.

”A life-and-death duel is not to be interfered with by outsiders,” a new voice said. ”Isn’t it rather inappropriate for the Patriarch of the Qin Family to break the rules?”

Tongyan arrived gracefully, her red attire capturing everyone’s attention. Elder Kui was her Protector; she was the one in charge.

”Miss Tongyan!” the crowd exclaimed, their eyes filled with admiration. Although Tongyan had not been in the Imperial Capital for long, her name was already famous. Her beauty outshone all others, and that, combined with her status as a prodigy of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion, made her incredibly sought-after.

”He killed my son. The life-and-death duel is over. What’s wrong with me seeking revenge for my son? The Myriad Treasures Pavilion may be strong, but this is the Tianqing Dynasty. I ask you two to show leniency. Afterward, my Qin Family will be sure to express its deep gratitude!” Qin Xiong wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and bowed with a clasped-fist salute, but his murderous intent toward Su Han remained unchanged.

BOOM!

The thousand-meter palm appeared again, slamming down and driving Qin Xiong deep into the earth. This time, his injuries were far more severe. He struggled a few times but could not get up.

Tongyan looked down upon Qin Xiong from above, her gaze cold and her words incomparably domineering. ”This is indeed the Tianqing Dynasty, but it belongs to Wang Tianqing, not your Qin Family. What right do you have to threaten the Myriad Treasures Pavilion? Say one more word, and I’ll kill you. Then we’ll see if Wang Tianqing dares to seek revenge on us! A minor power like the Tianqing Dynasty is nothing in Qingzhou, let alone the entire Eastern Region. For a member of the Qin Family to dare threaten my Myriad Treasures Pavilion... you truly don’t know your place.”

With that last palm strike, Elder Kui had not held back. Qin Xiong’s bones were shattered, and he was left on the verge of death, with only a single breath remaining.

”If it weren’t for the respect we owe Wang Tianqing, that last palm wouldn’t have just severely injured you—it would have obliterated you,” Tongyan snorted, paying Qin Xiong no mind. With her innate talent and status, she could speak to Wang Tianqing himself as an equal, let alone a mere Qin Xiong.

At this point, Qin Xiong lay dying, unable to move, much less respond. Just then, three elders from the Qin Family hurried onto the scene.

”Miss Tongyan, our Patriarch is devoted to his son. He made a grave mistake in a moment of emotional upheaval. We beg the Myriad Treasures Pavilion to show leniency and allow us to take our Patriarch back for healing,” the Great Elder said, bowing deeply and respectfully.

The Myriad Treasures Pavilion was a behemoth they could not afford to provoke. Qin Feng was already dead. If anything were to happen to their Patriarch, the Qin Family would suffer a catastrophic blow and might even collapse. Preserving their Patriarch’s life was the priority; their dignity was no longer important.

”A life-and-death duel must be fair and just. This battle’s outcome is decided. Anyone who tries to break the rules makes an enemy of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion!” Tongyan announced, looking at the Great Elder. Even a fool could hear the protective intent in her words.

The Great Elder was stunned. He had not expected Su Han to have gained the powerful backing of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. It seemed killing Su Han and avenging Qin Feng today was impossible.

”What Miss Tongyan says is absolutely right. Our Patriarch was overcome with grief,” the Great Elder conceded, forced to swallow his pride in the face of Tongyan and Elder Kui.

”Scram!”

Hearing Tongyan’s word, the Great Elder acted as if he had been granted a pardon. After a quick, respectful bow, he and the other two elders hurriedly carried Qin Xiong away. As for Qin Feng’s corpse, they had no choice but to leave it behind.

Watching this unfold, the onlookers were deeply shaken. No one had expected the Myriad Treasures Pavilion to intervene. And Elder Kui was just too strong; Qin Xiong, a master of the Phenomenon Realm, had been utterly defeated, critically injured in just two palm strikes. Tongyan’s domineering presence and Elder Kui’s overwhelming power were deeply imprinted in everyone’s minds.

At that moment, Tongyan glanced at Su Han before her gaze swept over the crowd.

”This battle, Su Han wins!”

Tongyan’s voice echoed in all directions, putting a final, decisive end to the life-and-death duel.
