Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Kill One Person with Every Step

Eighteen Lu Family guards, each wielding swords and knives with coldly gleaming blades, stared intently at Su Han. These guards had been carefully selected, all possessing the strength of the Sixth or Seventh Layer of the Foundation Establishment Realm. Their leader was even at the Ninth Layer.

The guards appeared the moment he killed someone. It couldn’t have been a coincidence. The only explanation was that they had been lying in wait for this very moment. Su Han knew who gave the order without even having to guess.

”Lu Mingxuan!” Su Han’s eyes glinted coldly. So-called kinship is nothing compared to personal interest.

”Su Han, you have committed a heinous crime!” the guard leader yelled, gripping his long spear as his aura burst forth, locking onto Su Han. ”Surrender without resistance and follow us to face the Family Head. If you resist stubbornly, don’t blame us for being merciless!”

Su Han was familiar with this man. In the past, the guard leader had treated him with the utmost respect, even begging for his guidance. But now, the cold look in his eyes and his spear’s menacing gleam spoke volumes about his changed attitude.

People’s hearts are cold; it’s hard to distinguish good from evil.

Su Han ignored the guard leader, turning instead to help Lu Yunxian to a seat at the side. ”Fairy Sister Yun Xian, sit here for a moment. I’ll be right back.” He offered her a faint smile. ”Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone bully you again.” But when he turned back toward the guards, the smile vanished, replaced by a face filled with murderous intent.

Seeing Su Han’s expression, the guard leader reacted swiftly. ”Capture him alive and hand him over to the Family Head for judgment!”

Instantly, the guards swarmed forward, their blades and swords casting a chilling aura. They knew Su Han had previously killed Manager Li and defeated Lu Xiaoqing, so they dared not be the slightest bit careless. But they still underestimated him.

Dark Demonic Qi surged and coated Su Han’s fist. ”Cannon Fist!”

He threw a punch that shot forward like a cannonball, unstoppable. This was a Yellow Rank high-level Martial Technique: Cannon Fist. In this world, cultivation techniques and Martial Techniques were divided into four ranks: Heaven, Earth, Mysterious, and Yellow. Each rank was further divided into low, mid, and high levels. As a former prince, Su Han naturally practiced top-notch Martial Techniques. Within the Foundation Establishment Realm, Yellow Rank High-Level techniques were considered supreme.

BANG!

Su Han dodged a flash of blade light and slammed his fist into a guard’s head. The punch was clean and decisive, a killing technique honed on the battlefield. Combined with his Sixth-Layer Foundation Establishment strength and the ice-cold Demonic Qi, it smashed the guard’s head open, killing him instantly.

One punch, one kill.

Just then, the other guards reached him. These Lu Family guards underwent rigorous training, were finely equipped, and were skilled in cooperative War Formations. An ordinary Martial Artist facing them would undoubtedly be defeated. However, their training methods had been taught by Su Han, and their War Formation techniques were his own design.

”To attack a superior... death!”

With his clothes now stained with blood, Su Han’s gaze was icy, his killing intent fierce. The clash of blades echoed as blood splattered and flesh flew. Cries of agony rose from all around.

At that moment, Su Han seemed to have returned to the battlefield, transformed into an invincible War General. A cold battle saber swung down; Su Han met it with a killing blow from his fist. A sharp longsword thrust forward; Su Han countered with another devastating punch.

The onlookers watched in horror as Su Han weaved through the crowd. He appeared to be in extreme danger, yet he remained completely unscathed. On the contrary, every punch and every kick was a lethal weapon, each strike reaping a life. The Empress had sent him to the military to nurture his Dragon Soul, and those years of battlefield warfare had made his Combat Power incredibly fearsome.

In less than ten minutes, guard after guard fell. The ground was littered with corpses and flowing with rivers of blood. The scene was horrifying—a literal display of one step, one kill.

Su Han was familiar with all of these guards; he could even recall their names. They had once treated him with the utmost respect, and he had taught them with all his might. He never thought his genuine trust would be repaid with betrayal, with his own students turning their weapons against him. Su Han’s gaze was ice-cold, his heart even colder.

He looked up toward the guard leader, who was not far away and now the only one left.

”Impossible! You were crippled by the Empress! Even if you’ve recovered some of your strength, how can you be this strong!” the guard leader exclaimed, his eyes filled with terror, unable to believe what he was seeing.

He had thought this was a chance to earn merit. If he killed Su Han, the Family Head would surely reward him handsomely. He had considered every possibility except one: that Su Han had not only recovered his strength but had become even more terrifying than before.

This is a true God of Slaughter!

But the guard leader dared not flee. If he did, the Family Head would hold him accountable, and a fate worse than death would await him.

”Kill!”

Steeling his heart, he let out a fierce shout. His long spear buzzed as he thrust it forward. The guard leader possessed the strength of the Ninth Layer of the Foundation Establishment Realm, and his Spiritual Energy was incredibly robust. Pouring it all into his long spear, he executed a terrifyingly powerful Martial Technique. ”Yellow Rank Mid-Level Martial Technique: Life-Seizing Spear!”

The spear shot out like a dragon, piercing the air with a sharp, ear-splitting shriek. The might of the attack was daunting, seemingly capable of penetrating a steel plate with ease.

But Su Han stood his ground, showing not an ounce of fear. With a hook of his foot, he flipped a battle saber off the ground and snatched it from the air. Su Han was most skilled with the Sword Technique. The saber was considered the bravest of all weapons—mighty, forceful, and as ferocious as a tiger. Chilling Demonic Qi flowed into the weapon, instantly turning the battle saber pitch-black, like a piece of cold iron.

CLANG!

A jarring clash of metal echoed through the area. Energy burst forth and sparks flew as both men were thrown back. Su Han took only a single step back, while the Ninth-Layer Foundation Establishment guard leader staggered back four or five steps. Empowered by Demonic Qi, Su Han’s Combat Power far exceeded his cultivation realm.

SWOOSH!

Su Han surged forward, his saber slashing again. The guard leader dared not be careless and circulated his Spiritual Energy to its peak, blocking the attacks with his long spear.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! The sounds grew more piercing as the guard leader was steadily driven back, proving to be no match for Su Han.

”Draw Sword Slash!”

A cold glint flashed in Su Han’s eyes as his battle saber, brimming with chilling killing intent, shot straight for the guard leader’s throat. The flash of the blade was like lightning—only faster and more terrifying. No one could describe its speed. As the blade flew, it seemed like the Grim Reaper’s scythe, poised to harvest a life. The slash was as fleeting as a galloping colt, as ethereal as a dragon roaming beyond the heavens.

The two fighters’ figures crossed. The guard leader stood frozen, his body rigid like a statue, still clutching his long spear.

SCHLICK! A head tumbled to the ground, and a moment later, the guard leader’s headless corpse crashed down.

With one slash, the guard leader was dead.

All eighteen guards had been annihilated, every one of them killed by Su Han’s hand. It was a result that not even Lu Mingxuan could have anticipated.

The surrounding crowd was deathly silent, shivering as they stared at Su Han in utter terror.

In that moment, he was, in their eyes, a veritable God of Slaughter.
