Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Huh? This Skill...

A fulfilling day passed, Li Younan completed his three-day actor life experience, and finally heard the long-lost system notification sound.

[Check-in completed].

”Driving skills!” Li Younan shouted.

[Makeup skills +1]

Li Younan was instantly petrified.

Simultaneously, countless pieces of information about makeup surged into his brain, from makeup brands, classifications, and ingredients he never dealt with as a straight man... They all flooded his mind. He mastered how to apply foundation, how to put on makeup, and even advanced techniques like shading, eyeliner, and lip texture with ease.

For a moment, Li Younan felt a bit complicated. This feeling was like a girl suddenly being able to recite the engine models of a GTR.

Li Younan could confidently say that at this point, his makeup skills have surpassed 99% of the girls. He was aware of the nature, advantages, defects, and precautions of many makeup products that even ordinary girls haven’t used or seen.

Well, this experience is hard to describe. After all, Li Younan is someone who usually doesn’t bother using facial cleanser, but he’s not rough around the edges. Because he rests regularly, his skin is particularly good, even with just washing with water it remains clean. However, there is no doubt, makeup and he have no fate.

To himself, makeup skills have no practical use. Many people associate this skill with being ”girly”, but that shouldn’t be necessary.

Li Younan knew that many top makeup artists are male, just like most top painters are men. Men naturally excel in aspects like lighting, overall layout, and finger stability during makeup compared to women. But unfortunately, it still wasn’t the driving skill he longed for this time.

It was time to wrap up, Li Younan returned the props from the shoot and changed into his own clothes. It was already night, but a few groups were still brightly lit. Li Younan felt a bit sentimental and very grateful for this experience. Traveling is such a wonderful thing.

This time, Li Younan had driven here. He went to the parking lot to start the car and contacted Xie Lin. After all, this time he successfully completed the check-in thanks to Xie Lin’s care. When Xie Lin heard that Li Younan planned to leave, he said, ”Then let me hang out with you for another day tomorrow.”

Li Younan hesitated a bit, asking, ”Aren’t you busy tomorrow?”

Xie Lin chuckled: ”No problem, actually I’m taking fewer roles now. Our industry has quite flexible time, daily work would be exhausting. Besides, aren’t I shifting to group leader? Brother, since you’re here, I must hang out with you.”

The matter was then decided. But Xie Lin’s girlfriend couldn’t get time off, so Li Younan adjusted his plan to wander and play with Xie Lin during the day, and treat the couple to dinner at night.

He slowly drove out, seeing Lan Yiyi and her assistant by the roadside, seemingly waiting for a ride. Li Younan stopped the car in front of them, Lan Yiyi and her assistant stepped back a bit. When the window went down and they saw it was Li Younan, Lan Yiyi was stunned for a moment, then walked two steps forward and leaned on the window. ”Eh, why is it you?”

Li Younan curiously asked, ”What are you doing?”

The short-haired assistant said, ”Isn’t it obvious? Clearly waiting for a car.”

Li Younan blinked: ”Hailing a ride personally?”

This sentence made them both silent.

Lan Yiyi huffed, ”What do you mean ’personally hailing a ride’? Aren’t we human? Humans need to catch a car.”

Li Younan wasn’t concerned about Lan Yiyi’s absurd logic, saying, ”I thought you had private cars picking you up. Get in, I’ll take you.”

Lan Yiyi and her assistant exchanged a glance, then opened the door and climbed in.

Once in the car, Lan Yiyi explained, ”Didn’t the director say tomorrow is a day off? It’s my first time in Dongyang City, um, we’re planning to eat hot pot tonight and wander around nearby tomorrow.”

Li Younan asked strangely, ”Can you celebrities also go out independently?”

Lan Yiyi snorted, ”Now you think I’m a star again.”

The assistant beside her couldn’t stop laughing, saying, ”In our circle, only first-line stars have private group, nanny car pickups. Since they know many people, without pickups, there would be much trouble. The group just wants to avoid troubles. But for someone like Yiyi, a second-line star...”

Li Younan silently thought ”18th line.”

”There’s no car pickup, the group has bus arrangements to the hotel, but since we’re planning to eat hot pot tonight, we’re not taking the group’s bus.”

Li Younan asked, ”Are you planning to go to Dongyang City?”

Lan Yiyi nodded, looking left and right, clutching the leather seat cushion, smiled and said: ”Why do you like driving this kind of car? It’s like an old man driving.”

The assistant said softly beside her, ”You can afford such an expensive car, I know this car, it’s nearly one million, right!”

Lan Yiyi was shocked, unexpectedly the car was so expensive.

Li Younan chuckled: ”Bought for 6000 yuan, who needs a bicycle?”

Lan Yiyi and her assistant both rolled their eyes: ”6000 yuan, it’s more like buying a toy.”

Li Younan didn’t explain, confirmed the destination, inputted the location on the navigation, and drove there all the way.

Not confident in his driving skills, Li Younan drove very steadily, not overtaking or maneuvering. Fortunately, there were fewer cars at night, so it wasn’t too slow. When cars cut in, Li Younan just silently let others go first.

Lan Yiyi said: ”Your skills are pretty good.”

Li Younan blinked and coughed: ”Really?”

Lan Yiyi nodded: ”You drive steadily.”

”Oh, hehe.”

After dropping them off at their destination, Lan Yiyi suddenly asked, ”Are you leaving tomorrow?”

Li Younan said: ”I plan on hanging around nearby with friends tomorrow.”

Lan Yiyi’s eyes lit up, asking: ”Can I come along?”

Li Younan shook his head: ”Of course not, you are a big star, if we get surrounded, what then? I don’t want to be sneakily photographed by paparazzi.”

Lan Yiyi puffed up her cheeks in anger and said: ”I’m just an 18th line unknown actress, got into a small group as the female lead through family connections, you really think I’m that famous? Walking down the street, nobody recognizes me.”

Li Younan gripped the steering wheel saying: ”We’ll see tomorrow.”

Lan Yiyi snorted: ”Fine, I’ll call you early in the morning then.”

After the car drove away, the assistant weakly asked: ”Yiyi, what about me then?”

Lan Yiyi coughed and smiled: ”Do as you wish.”

Lan Yiyi and the assistant checked into a hotel. Early the next morning, just at dawn, Lan Yiyi woke up. Checking the time, it was just past 6 o’clock, but she felt spirited, so she got up and did her makeup meticulously.

This time, her makeup was even more meticulous than when filming, spending a full hour and a half, looking at herself in the mirror with satisfaction. Then she took out her phone intending to call Li Younan, hesitated a bit, didn’t dial, but flipped to WeChat and asked, ”Are you awake?”

Li Younan replied instantly: ”Awake.”
