I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

Two minutes later, one man and one raven walked out the door together.

Actually, after Loren loudly called for the raven, he waited another two minutes before the raven finished its online argument.

The raven achieved a resounding victory.

”You seem to have changed a bit too?” After stepping out, Loren said softly to the raven on his shoulder.

”Master, after you resonated with your psychic ability, I also figured out some things.”

”What?” Loren’s footsteps paused as he turned to look at the presence on his shoulder.

”For intelligent beings, respecting one’s own heart is important.” After thinking for a moment, the raven said this.

”So, that’s your reason for completely turning into a troll?”

Loren finally said what he’d been wanting to say, his tone filled with thick disdain.

”...My dear master, don’t worry about such details. That was just an accident. The other party’s aggressiveness was simply too strong. I couldn’t help but argue with them all night, hahahaha.””I won quite arduously, you know.” The raven was rather proud.

Loren silently shook his head and didn’t speak further.

I’m starting to miss the innocence you had when you were first born...

Then, Loren forcibly recalled the raven back into his body, saying in his mind:

”Today is our first day of activity in the Radiant Flow Star Domain. Raven, it’s better if you’re always prepared for battle.”

”Master, it seems you’ve finally realized the threat that 3 billion bounty poses to you.”

Loren: ”...” Your aggressiveness is also getting a bit strong.

Arriving outside Room 104, Loren raised his hand and knocked on the door.

”Who is it?” Ayla Morningstar’s cautious voice came from behind the door.

Being short in stature, she couldn’t reach the peephole on the door.

”It’s me.” Loren said flatly with just two words.

The door quickly opened from inside, revealing Ayla Morningstar looking happily at Loren.

”Big brother, good morning.”

Loren revealed a smile. ”Good morning, little one.”

Ayla Morningstar stepped out of the room and skillfully took Loren’s hand.

”Big brother, are we starting to look for my father today?”

”Of course.” Loren led the little girl toward the stairwell.

Inside the second-floor cafeteria.

Loren brought Ayla Morningstar into the cafeteria. After both got some food, they found a corner to sit down.

Both of them hadn’t eaten for several days.

For Loren, it was because after advancing to become a seventh-rank Superhuman, he didn’t need to rely much on food to sustain his energy consumption anymore. His Superhuman physique was gradually becoming exaggerated.

As for Ayla Morningstar, it was because her psychic ability was special. She similarly didn’t need to eat, requiring only air and sunlight.

The two sat in the corner and quietly began their meal.

Perhaps due to the special nature of the Radiant Flow Star Domain, the food made by this battle castle’s second-floor cafeteria didn’t taste very good.

After tasting a few bites, Loren disdainfully put down the roasted meat in his hand.

”The chef hired by this Interstellar Hunter Association clearly doesn’t respect the ingredients.”

After commenting on the chef here, Loren took out his portable computer and sent a message to Abel Norton.

”You can have your colleague bring the medal over now. Second-floor cafeteria.”

One minute later.

A young man wearing a black trench coat and goggles on his head hurriedly pushed open the cafeteria doors.

After entering, the young man in the black trench coat scanned the room once, then walked directly toward the table where Loren was sitting.

Reaching the table, he sat down opposite Loren and Ayla Morningstar.

He took out an exquisite box from the spatial ring on his finger, placed it on the table, and gently pushed it toward Loren.

”Mr. Loren, this is the Medal of Valor awarded to you by the Federation.”

Loren glanced at the box on the table but didn’t reach out to touch it. Instead, he nodded at the young man.

”Thank you. I’ve received it.”

Seeing Loren’s wariness, the young man didn’t say anything.

Not being very familiar with Loren, he stood up, left a business card, and placed it beside the box.

”In that case, I won’t disturb you any further, Mr. Loren. This card has my superior’s contact information. If you need anything, please contact him.”

”I will.” Loren said calmly.

After receiving Loren’s response, this agent from the Security Bureau turned and left.

His mission was complete. He just wanted to leave quickly.

The suffocating oppressive feeling emanating from Loren constantly made him feel like he couldn’t breathe.

Only after the young man’s back disappeared from the cafeteria did Loren leisurely take a coin from his pocket and toss it into the air.

”Will this box, or the things inside it, cause me any adverse effects? If yes, heads.”

After silently reciting this in his heart, the coin fell into Loren’s palm.

Tails. No.

Loren put away the coin and fell into thought as he looked at the box on the table.

Is the Security Bureau’s attitude toward me too good...

Is this really the same all-powerful Federation department that countless Superhumans describe as doing every evil deed imaginable? I’m very doubtful...

After a long while, Loren shook his head.

It’s probably mostly the effect of ”Fortune.” Forget it, I won’t think about it anymore...

He reached out and picked up the box and the business card from the table.

Opening the box, a golden medal lay quietly inside. The medal was engraved with the symbol of the Federation—a wreath and stars.

Loren sneered, activated his mental energy, and stored the medal inside ”Crimson Tear.”

I hope the Security Bureau won’t regret awarding me this medal in the future...

After putting away the Medal of Valor, Loren took out his portable computer and dialed the contact number on the business card.

After ringing twice, the other side answered.

”Hello, who is this?” A cold voice sounded.

”Las Loren.” Loren introduced himself flatly.

”Oh? Mr. Loren.” The voice on the other end noticeably perked up, its tone softening considerably.

”Let me introduce myself. I’m the person in charge of the Security Bureau in the Radiant Flow Star Domain. You can call me ’Vic.’ That’s my codename.”

”Mr. Loren, are you contacting me because you’ve encountered some trouble in the Radiant Flow Star Domain?”

Hearing the words coming from the portable computer, Loren frowned.

This kind of attitude is somewhat alarming. Since when have I been this close with the Security Bureau...

”Not at all, Agent Vic. I was just testing if the contact number works.” Loren began probing again.

”...” The voice on the other end fell silent, as if momentarily unsure how to respond.

Soon, the other party’s voice sounded again, offering an explanation.

”Mr. Loren, this is a dedicated line. It can be reached at any time...”

”Alright, I understand. Sorry to bother you, Agent Vic.” Loren frowned and ended the call.

This kind of attitude... it’s already exaggerated...

”Master, it seems the identity of Nature Sect’s God’s Favored One is more important than we imagined.”

The raven’s unique voice sounded in Loren’s mind.

”...”

That’s really not good news... Loren sighed inwardly, feeling that using the Nature Sect’s name back then was somewhat reckless.

Silently, Loren put away his portable computer and turned to look at Ayla Morningstar, who had been gazing at him with admiration since earlier.

”Finished eating, little one?”

”Finished, big brother! It wasn’t tasty at all!! The chef is simply wasting ingredients! He should be sentenced!”

It seemed the little girl also harbored considerable resentment toward the cafeteria’s taste.

Hearing the little girl’s words, a slight smile appeared on Loren’s solemn face.

”Let’s go. We should return to the lounge to discuss your father’s situation.”

”Okay! Big brother!” Ayla Morningstar jumped down from the chair and actively took Loren’s large hand.

One large and one small figure, holding hands, left the castle’s second-floor cafeteria.

As they walked away hand in hand, both were thinking the same thing in their hearts—they would absolutely never come to this place again...

”That chef here should be sent to the front lines to serve the Federation to atone for his sins!!”

This was what Ayla Morningstar thought.

”That bald, portly man is even more corrupt with the association’s funds than that old man on the resource planet!”

”I guarantee it! The chef’s salary here must be shockingly low!!”

”At least that old man wasn’t excessive enough to cut the cafeteria’s budget...”

This was what Loren thought.

”You guys still think the food tastes bad? What about me??? This is the first time! I’ve come to a cafeteria and couldn’t get fresh fruit!!!”

And this was the inner voice of the raven in its attached state.

Thus, the man, the girl, and the raven, each in their own different state of mind, walked up the stairs and returned to the castle’s third floor.

Inside Lounge 104.

Loren sat on the sofa, looking at Ayla Morningstar sitting opposite him, whose eyes held a strange expression, and said calmly:

”Now, little one, you can tell me about your father’s situation.”

Looking at Loren who had entered work mode, Ayla Morningstar’s eyes sparkled like stars.

Is this what a reliable adult is like? It feels completely different from my unreliable father!!

”My father was a researcher from the Science Department temporarily assigned to the military. Over a month ago, I don’t know what got into him. He came home and secretly said to me:”

”’Daughter, what do you think about me switching jobs to the Star Traveler Society? I feel like the Federation is doomed sooner or later!’”

”A few days later, after leaving me in the care of Aunt Tina, he disappeared.”

”Another half month passed, and I saw him on the Federation’s wanted list.”

”His crime is defecting from the Federation.”

”Then, military personnel came looking for me and Aunt Tina.”

”Given that we truly knew nothing and were protected by the relevant provisions of the ’Federation Minors Protection Act,’”

”and with Aunt Tina as my only legal guardian, plus considering her family’s considerable reputation within the Federation, we weren’t dealt with by the Federation Military personnel...”
