I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

”Nice to see you again, Councilor.” Loren looked down at the limping figure below.

That method of evading the illusion space, not only was the escape distance a bit short, but it also came with a certain cost? It seems quite severe...

After silently analyzing this, Loren raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

”Misfortune.” Raven silently added these two words in his mind.

A massive amount of Misfortune was gathered and directed onto Councilor Osman below and his secretary, Terra, beside him.

After being infused with a huge amount of Misfortune, Councilor Osman below let out a miserable cry; the injury to his soul had just worsened in a bizarre manner.

Meanwhile, Secretary Terra beside him, due to nervousness, lost her footing in an extremely bizarre way while supporting Councilor Osman and fell to the ground. Unfortunately, she broke her ribs.

And the broken ribs, in an utterly unfortunate twist, pierced her heart. A large amount of blood gushed from her chest.

Not being a Martial Artist, she did not possess such a powerful constitution. An injury like this was already fatal enough...

Councilor Osman, who she had been supporting, was also dragged down to the ground beside her. Similarly, his ribs also broke in a bizarre manner. However, Councilor Osman’s ribs did not pierce his heart; instead, they pierced his lung.

Councilor Osman lay on the ground, looking up unwillingly at the tall figure in the sky. His breathing was extremely difficult, and a large amount of blood bubbled from his mouth.

He struggled, wanting to say something more, but unfortunately, the blood continuously welling up in his mouth prevented any words from forming.

In the end, this Councilor Osman of the Jadeite Council, using all his remaining strength, could only utter two words:

”Wh... y...”

In response, Loren, positioned in the night sky, merely looked down symbolically and gave a slight tip of his hat.

”Fun, and you had bad luck. That’s all, Councilor.”

After saying this, Loren raised his hand and fired an Energy Bullet, igniting the two corpses on the ground.

Destroying evidence is a good habit.

It was precisely because of this good habit that Loren had been able to kill Councilor Osman’s ninth-rank Superhuman with such ease.

In fact, Loren felt almost no pressure throughout the entire process.

Apart from the trouble of finding the person, Loren didn’t even feel like his opponent was a ninth-rank Superhuman.

After the two corpses on the ground had completely turned to ashes, Loren, still in the night sky, turned his body to face another direction.

On the ground in that direction, a series of bulges was emerging, as if a giant earthworm was moving underground.

Soon, the large entity underground arrived directly below Loren and stopped moving.

”You had the ability to save that Councilor, didn’t you? Why didn’t you intervene?”

Loren in the night sky looked down at the strange bulge on the ground and asked casually.

Within this manor, the only existence Loren could sense as dangerous was the large entity underground.

When facing those six eighth-rank Superhumans and Councilor Osman, Loren had felt quite relaxed, with no sense of pressure at all.

It was only when facing this large entity hidden underground that Loren felt that hair-raising sensation.

As if to answer Loren’s question, the bulge on the ground was shattered by a single punch from a massive blue mechanical hand.

A Mecha with an azure blue body climbed out from underground.

It had a pair of sharp mechanical wings on its back, colored blue and white.

It possessed a streamlined body with no visible gaps at the joints.

The Mecha’s surface was engraved with strange red patterns, and where the red patterns didn’t cover, blue light flowed.

The six-meter-tall mechanical body wasn’t equipped with any visible weapons, as if it wasn’t a combat-type Mecha.

Its pair of massive mechanical eyes also glowed with a crimson red color, looking up at Loren suspended in the night sky.

And when Loren was stared at by these massive mechanical eyes, the hair-raising sensation on his body intensified even more.

”Although I was ordered to protect this Councilor, you know how it is... battles involving high-ranking Superhumans are always full of surprises...”

”Occasional mistakes are inevitable, right?”

”Especially when facing a bizarrely powerful individual like you. I think my superiors should understand.”

An unruly male voice came from within the Mecha. Clearly, he wasn’t bothered by Councilor Osman’s death.

Hearing the other’s words, Loren’s eyes narrowed slightly up in the night sky.

”You had a grudge against Councilor Osman?”

Using someone else’s hand to kill? And you used mine? Unexpected...

”No, no, no, of course I didn’t have a grudge against him. Careful, I might sue you for slander!!”

”It’s just that... someone like me, a Mecha Pilot as noble as I am...”

”...also came from an orphanage.”

”Although it wasn’t the orphanage in Jadeite Main City, for some reason during this time, I keep recalling those not-so-wonderful days.”

”The mean-spirited headmaster, the staff who would occasionally punish us on purpose because they were in a bad mood, and those cooks who embezzled the orphanage’s funds.”

”Oh, and those playground facilities that were falling apart.”

The unruly voice from within the Mecha even began reminiscing about his childhood.

”Although in my memory, that orphanage wasn’t a very good place, I did manage to survive there.”

”Good thing you came along. Otherwise, I would have had to notify some of those lawless cult organizations.”

”Oh, and you should pretend you didn’t hear that last part. I still want a promotion in the future...”

Loren hovered in mid-air, staring down at the Mecha that gave him a sense of danger. After hearing the other’s absurd statements,

he was about to say something when Raven reminded him in his mind:

”Master, there’s at most one minute left before this advancement is complete. If you don’t want to waste this advancement opportunity, I suggest you attack the Mecha below. It is sufficiently dangerous.”

Hearing Raven’s reminder, Loren manipulated the faintly glowing black wings behind him, gave a powerful flap, and his figure vanished from the night sky.

No matter what, it’s better to first get away from that pair of crimson eyes staring at me...

Loren’s figure appeared in the high air behind the Mecha below.

Then, under Loren’s control, a massive amount of Misfortune was poured all at once onto the body of that Mecha.

”Hey, hey, hey, I didn’t even want to fight a dangerous guy like you. Seriously, the repair costs for this Mecha are very expensive...”

The red patterns on the Mecha’s surface lit up in sequence, the blue light flowed rapidly, and a huge energy fluctuation emanated from the Mecha...

Immediately, the Mecha lightly tapped the ground with its right foot, and its massive body disappeared from Loren’s sight.

Almost instantaneously, this azure Mecha appeared two meters behind Loren and threw a light punch towards Loren’s back.

The huge mechanical fist enveloped Loren’s comparatively tiny body.

Feeling the lethal danger from behind, a flicker of shock passed through Loren’s pupils. This speed?!

Unable to dodge in time, Loren could only wrap his broad black wings around his body, making the only defense he could.

Loren, wrapped in his black wings, was struck by the mechanical fist, producing an ear-piercing sonic boom upon impact!

BOOM!!

Loren’s body was mercilessly blasted by this punch into the burning buildings of the manor, sending up a cloud of dust and ash.

”Young man, I admit your bizarre fighting style has something to it. But in the face of ultimate power, defense, and speed, it seems somewhat powerless.”

”Do you know the charm of a Mecha’s perfect stats? That’s burned through with Spirit Stones!!!”
