I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

Loren’s footsteps paused.

Lady Daisy also experienced this when she was young? Interesting.

”Do you know why I’ve always maintained goodwill toward you? Because I smell the scent of a kindred spirit on you.”

”However, you obviously have no intention of hiding anything, whereas back then, I hid myself quite well.”

Daisy Wendy turned her head to look at Loren and gave a rather playful wink.

”Lady Daisy, may I ask, how long did it take for you to return to a normal state?” Loren asked quite gentlemanly.

Faced with the cuteness Daisy Wendy displayed, he once again chose to ignore it.

”Want to know? Call me Daisy from now on, and I’ll tell you~”

Daisy Wendy continued to tease Loren, even adding a coquettish tone at the end of her sentence.

The raven perched on Loren’s shoulder brightened its eyes upon hearing this.A rather clever human female, I must say, your tricks are quite effective!

Yes! Just like that, train my master thoroughly...

”Of course, Daisy.” Loren readily agreed. For him, this was a condition with no loss at all.

Hearing Loren’s new form of address without the honorific, a trace of a smile appeared in Daisy Wendy’s eyes.

She just stared at Loren’s face, lost in her own reverie for a moment.

Until Loren grew somewhat impatient waiting.

Only then did she discard the various strange thoughts in her mind and spoke with a giggle:

”This type of loss of rationality is mostly because the physical body and mental power of a Superhuman grow too quickly. For such cases, slowing down the advancement speed is sufficient.”

”Our situation is a bit more complex. An overly powerful Psychic Ability can bring about some subconscious changes in self-perception.”

Hearing this, Loren nodded in agreement—this was actually consistent with Annie Bell’s diagnosis...

Daisy Wendy didn’t know Loren had already sought a diagnosis. Seeing Loren’s agreement, a smile curled at the corner of her mouth as she continued:

”Right after I first awakened my ability, due to my family’s wealth, my advancement speed was also very fast.”

”Until one time after advancing, when I saw other people, a crazy idea suddenly popped into my head.”

”A peculiar thought of wanting to fold the other person into a point.”

”Because of the convenience of my ability, I secretly slipped out of the family that very night and went alone to a Gray Zone. After folding a few bad guys into points, my symptoms were somewhat alleviated.”

”From that night on, a terrifying legend spread through this Main City: every person who committed numerous evils would encounter extreme horror during the night.”

”And at that time, I was only 10 years old.”

”This situation continued until after I turned 16.”

”As I grew older, I began to ponder, who am I?”

”Does the ability control me, or was I just a pervert to begin with?”

”So, I started using my family’s resources, under the pretext of a hobby, to find some relevant books and began trying to heal myself.”

”In the year I turned 18, I collected an ancient text from the Eastern Star Domain.”

”That’s when I realized one thing: regardless of how powerful an ability is, it is just an ability.”

”It has nothing to do with good or evil. It’s just an ability, your own ability.”

”Of course, a powerful ability might influence some perceptions, change some of a person’s views, making them somewhat similar to the ability’s nature.”

”But it cannot change the essence of a person’s soul. It is a unique gift born from the soul.”

”It can influence a person; conversely, a person can also influence it.”

”That ancient text had a line: ’If this heart is bright and clear, what more is there to say?’”

”So, just accept yourself from within.”

”It took me 8 years to accept that I was different from others. One day, when I truly accepted my own Psychic Ability, my rationality returned.”

”The resonance between the Psychic Ability and the soul is the true gift that ’Psychic Ability’ bestows upon Psychics.”

”In that state of resonance, there is no madness, but a feeling of free and unrestrained harmony.”

”That ancient text referred to that state as ’attaining the Dao.’”

”For powerful Psychics like us, the Psychic Ability is never a curse, but a mutual ’compassion.’”

”That day, I advanced from the Fourth Stage to the Sixth Stage, without using any Spirit Stones.”

”From then on, I decided not to use Spirit Stones for advancement anymore.”

”Loren, I hope you can understand something from this.”

Daisy Wendy finished recounting her experience with a giggle, seeing Loren’s face deep in thought.

She subconsciously clapped her hands and raised them, wanting to pinch Loren’s face.

She wanted to take advantage of Loren’s distracted contemplation to do something...

After all, such opportunities aren’t easy to come by.

She almost succeeded!!

Unfortunately, someone interrupted her bold idea!!!

Someone else also thought such an opportunity wasn’t easy to come by.

Taking advantage of Loren’s distracted contemplation.

A strange patch of black shadow separated from the shadows of a street corner not far from Loren.

This mottled black shadow shot towards Loren at a speed invisible to the naked eye.

In an instant, this black shadow arrived behind Loren.

After the black shadow connected with Loren’s own shadow, it rapidly grew taller.

Once the shadow stretched to the same height as Loren’s body, a hand holding a black dagger eerily extended from within the black shadow.

It aimed precisely at Loren’s heart and stabbed down.

At the critical moment.

When that black dagger was only one centimeter away from Loren’s heart, both the black dagger and the hand holding it were eerily erased.

Immediately after, a suppressed grunt came from within that strange shadow.

Then, that strange shadow returned to its original form, quickly changing back into a shadow with no height.

It rapidly severed its connection with Loren’s shadow and returned to the ground.

Once the shadow returned to the ground, it moved away at a speed invisible to the naked eye.

With extreme decisiveness, it fled towards the shadows of the street corner.

”You ruined my fun and still think you can leave? Who do you think I am?!”

Daisy Wendy’s tone carried a hint of anger!!

Her right index finger twitched slightly.

A transparent spatial cube abruptly appeared, enveloping the entire street.

Seeing this, the fleeing shadow sped up even more.

Unfortunately, it was futile.

The transparent spatial cube that enveloped the entire street rapidly shrank under Daisy Wendy’s control, like a shrinking cage.

Everything on this street remained unchanged under the shrinking of the transparent spatial cube, as if a gentle breeze had passed by, completely unaffected.

Except for that patch of shadow. It was completely sealed within that spatial cube, with no escape.

Before a powerful Superhuman with Spatial Type abilities, escape is a luxury.
