Rebirth before Apocalypse: My Whole Family are Bigshots!

Chapter 154: Chapter 154: An Obedient Good Child

”Tangtang, don’t be afraid, mom and dad are here.”

Fan Liping turned his head and forced a gentle smile at Fan Tangtang.

Clearly, there was a terrifying aura of oppression emanating from Fan Tangtang, with a zombie-like ferocity filling his body.

Yet, he still treated him as the same Fan Tangtang who would get diarrhea from eating two ice creams.

The people in the residential area felt an endless chill, and the oppressive aura made their legs tremble and their bodies cold.

Hu Meiling was not afraid at all, trembling as she reached out and tightly hugged the son she had longed for day and night.

There is no greater happiness in the world than regaining what was lost.

Fan Tangtang stretched out his chubby fingers to gently pat Hu Meiling’s back, but his eyes were fixed on his father, who was a head shorter than everyone else.

His tall and strong father, who had mastery over everything, was now kneeling on the ground for him.

Fan Tangtang squinted his eyes, gently patting Hu Meiling’s back with his fingers, while a visible black mist mixed with a violent chill surged toward the superpower user in front of Fan Liping.

The black mist, filled with powerful violent elements, seeped straight into the superpower user’s nose and mouth.

The superpower user retreated frantically, but it was already too late.

His body started to tremble uncontrollably, and an inexplicable rage surged in his heart.

Destruction.

The only word in his mind was to destroy everything.

The surrounding superpower users watched helplessly as their companion suddenly trembled violently, veins bulging.

The blue veins turned black at a visible speed, and the body twitched violently in a grotesque way, lips turning black, face contorted.

”Roar――”

A zombie’s roar erupted from the superpower user’s mouth.

In less than ten seconds, under everyone’s gaze, he was transformed from a superpower user into a zombie.

The black mist continued to spread, and the onlooking superpower users backed away in terror.

It turned out that touching even a bit of this black mist would turn one into a zombie.

The water ability user quickly released a large amount of water, flushing the black mist to the ground.

The black water droplets fell to the ground, causing the green grass to wither at a visible speed.

”Dad, get up, okay?”

Fan Tangtang’s voice was very gentle, with a hint of pleading.

His all-powerful dad shouldn’t bow to others like this.

Fan Liping glanced at the superpower user who had suddenly turned into a zombie, was slightly taken aback, and looked back at Fan Tangtang in surprise.

Fan Tangtang obediently winked at Fan Liping, ”Dad, I missed you so much!”

Fan Liping rubbed his eyes vigorously, showing a gentle smile on his face.

”Dad missed Tangtang too, missed you very much...”

Fan Liping choked up for a moment, then slowly stood up and walked toward his wife and son.

They embraced each other tightly.

This scene had only appeared in dreams, and now it had come true.

No matter how much suffering, no matter how many had died.

At this moment, he was grateful for the apocalypse.

Thank you, this damned apocalypse, for bringing his son back to life.

Finally, able to see his son again.

Even if he’s a zombie.

He is forever his son, the one who couldn’t even do basic addition and subtraction.

”Roar――”

The superpower user-turned-zombie roared and lunged at his former companions.

This zombie, who was a superpower user in life, still possessed a stronger body and a fire ability after becoming a zombie.

For a moment, the superpower users wearing jackets couldn’t react.

”Ah! Squad leader, let go!”

In a moment of carelessness, a squad member was bitten by the newly-turned-zombie squad leader.

Crimson blood stimulated the zombie’s taste buds as it viciously tore into human flesh, ripping a chunk of meat from a person’s body.

The zombie wasn’t satisfied, agilely lunging at the nearby fresh meat, with jaws open wide, mercilessly biting into its former teammates.

This zombie was the most powerful among them when alive, and now as a zombie, the superpower users couldn’t defeat it.

After all, zombies can only be killed by shots to the head, while superpower users would succumb from a mere small bite.

”Run! Even superpower users can’t fight off that zombie!”

”Quick! Don’t block the way, run!”

Seeing the situation slightly getting out of hand, the survivors quickly fled the residential area, not daring to be bystanders.

Even ants have a way to survive.

If ordinary people want to live longer, they must be good at escaping and observing.

Fortunately, the zombie was closer to the superpower users, giving those people time to escape.

The shrill sound of an alarm suddenly echoed throughout the entire safe base.

From outside came dense footsteps.

Other superpower squads, having received news of zombies here, had finally arrived.

In a corner of the residential area, the Bai Family sat in a row on a bus.

Bai Xiqin and Leng Yebai had already taken advantage of the chaos to change back into their clothes and removed their makeup, sitting together on the bus.

”Sister, should we go over and help?”

Bai Yifan glanced at the chaotic superpower users and asked.

Bai Xiqin looked at those superpower users killing each other coldly, without any emotional fluctuation.

Right now, those superpower users were all under Captain Zhu’s command. They were originally chasing survivors out of the abandoned building.

Now, seeing more people, they pretended to be the righteous side, wanting to kill Zombie Fan Tangtang.

In reality, they were only trying to maintain their image.

Privately, they treated survivors as test subjects, converting them into zombies. Now turning into zombies was deserved, not worth any sympathy.

”What did you say? The wind is too strong, I can’t hear you.” Bai Xiqin turned to look at Bai Yifan.

Bai Yifan scratched his head, ”I wasn’t saying to catch Fan Tangtang, I was just saying, having zombies running around the base isn’t safe, what if they come and bite us!”

Bai Yifan felt very conflicted inside.

Who would have thought the lost child they picked up on the road was a zombie?

Not even a normal zombie.

At this moment, Bai Yifan’s scientific view was shattered all over the place.

”You’re right, you go!” Bai Xiqin remained calm.

Bai Yifan shivered, quietly moving closer to Leng Yebai, ”Forget it, I’m fine watching from here.”

Wang Yiyun was both wiping tears and trembling all over.

Wiping tears out of pity for the Fan Family.

But trembling because she really wanted to tuck back the exposed bit of black intestines sticking out of Fan Tangtang’s abdomen.

As a Convergence Master, not being able to tuck back that bit of intestine was unbearable.

So unbearable she was shaking all over.

”If only we knew that child belonged to the Fan Family, we would have said something at the time, this is just too tragic!”

”Yes! Even if that child is a zombie, he can jump and talk, he’s much better than those hideous zombies.” Liu Jing sighed heavily, ”A mother doesn’t think her child is ugly, how can a mother despise her own child!”

Even when Bai Anhai was born so ugly, she didn’t discard him!

Let alone Fan Tangtang, who just had black blood, with a clean face, how adorable!

Bai Anhai: ”Mom, what are you saying?”

Liu Jing nonchalantly, ”Nothing, just saying you’re handsome!”

Bai Anhai: ...

In the distance.

Fan Liping heard the dense footsteps coming from afar and quickly whispered, ”Let’s go.”

He didn’t want to see his innocent child fighting with those people.

Without waiting for a response from his son and wife, Fan Liping grabbed them and ran toward the wall of the residential area.

He knew that in the corner of the residential area, beyond the wall was the outside of the safe base.

As long as they went out, they would be safe.

Fan Liping didn’t wait for his son and wife’s response, pulling them along toward the wall of the residential area.

Fan Family, hand in hand, desperately dashed toward the direction of the bus.
