Time Travel: The Best Doctor in Ancient Times

Chapter 974: Chapter 2922:

”Yushu! Stop pretending to be innocent here!” Upon hearing Yushu’s words, Skate felt even more agitated and practically shouted, ”You are a traitor to the Mermaid People, guilty of treason and rebellion, an instigator of royal conflict. I have no sister like you! None!”

After Skate shouted these words, his expression finally eased somewhat, and he stammered, ”That’s right, you are a traitor! You are a conspirator! You are a criminal of the Mermaid People! You are not worthy to be my sister! You are not worthy!”

Whether Skate was speaking to himself, to Yushu, or to all the onlookers present...

His words clearly reached everyone’s ears...

”Oh my! Is the Eldest Princess trying to convict the Second Princess?”

”She cannot! The Eldest Princess and the Second Princess are both part of the Royal Family of the Mermaid People; as equals in royalty, the Eldest Princess has no right to convict the Second Princess!”

”But the Eldest Princess keeps calling the Second Princess a traitor...”

”...”

”...”

Suddenly, chaos erupted once more...

In the midst of this uproar, Yushu raised her head again, looking at Skate, and spoke each word with clarity, ”Sister, why did I lead the army into the Royal City, why was I accused of rebellion, why have I become a criminal of the Mermaid People—you know better than anyone, don’t you? The reason I’m here today is to see Mother, to tell her everything I’ve endured...”

”Tell? What do you want to say? You led the army into the Royal City without a royal summons—that’s treason! It’s a fact nailed to the board, unchangeable!” Skate said, his eyes reddening again as he growled.

”But I received word that the Royal City was in danger, that there was a rebellion, so I led the army to protect it! I never intended to rebel; all of this is a charge you’ve imposed on me!” Yushu replied, her voice unintentionally rising, ”You’ve continuously accused me, Sister, sending assassins to hunt me down, engaging troops in East County without Mother’s permission... All of this, Sister, was planned by you, wasn’t it?”

”You! You’re talking nonsense!” Hearing this, Skate immediately erupted in fury.

”Whether I’m talking nonsense, Sister, you know well! The blood of the assassins you sent stained the entire territorial sea of the Mermaid People, the harm you caused me is still fresh in my mind. Sister, if you want to be the King of the Mermaid People, then go ahead. In the past, I never thought of competing with you, but now, I have no choice but to be here and reveal the truth to everyone!” Yushu stepped forward, looking at Skate, and continued in a deep voice, ”I can’t let my soldiers die in vain; I can’t let them die branded as rebels! I can’t watch them die unjustly, nor can I watch someone as malicious and ruthless as you, who disregards sisterly bonds, become the future King of the Mermaid People!”

”You...” Hearing this, Skate’s face turned black with rage...

”If you become the King of the Mermaid People, Sister, that would truly be a disaster for the Mermaid People! If my inaction leads to your ascent to the throne, then I would become the true criminal of the Mermaid People! Sister, do you understand what I’m saying? I won’t watch the people of the Mermaid People welcome such a merciless and bloodthirsty queen! Absolutely not! Even if it means death, even if it costs my life, I will prove my innocence and expose everything you’ve done!” As she spoke, Yushu’s emotions became increasingly passionate...

Every word, every sentence entered the ears of the onlookers, immediately silencing everyone...

Is this true?

Is it as the Second Princess Yushu said?

Was all of this a scheme by the Eldest Princess Skate?

Is the Second Princess truly innocent?

If that is the case...

Then the Eldest Princess...

Thus, the eyes of everyone on the Eldest Princess Skate changed, becoming inexplicably scrutinizing...

”Yushu! You’re falsely accusing me! See if I don’t kill you!”
