Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1068: Chapter 734: Dependent as a Chick on an Eagle

Yang Zhenshan looked bewildered, ”What are you two chatting about? You seem really happy!”

The continuous bird calls sounded, and then these two creatures actually snuggled up together.

Yang Zhenshan felt that something was off.

The Flying Slave Eagle stood next to the Golden Feathered Eagle, giving off a vibe of a little bird relying on a large eagle.

This, this, this~~

Yang Zhenshan was completely thrown off!

That Golden Feathered Eagle was seducing his Sky Cloud!

”Ahem, well, Gold Feather seems to like Mr. Yang’s eagle, so, haha~~” Lan Peng seemed quite embarrassed and laughed dryly.

Yang Zhenshan furrowed his brows.

Yu Qingyi had raised Flying Slave Eagles for over ten years; he was very familiar with their habits.

Flying Slave Eagles are monogamous, establishing long-term stable mate relationships once settled. They usually have only one mate, only seeking a new partner if their mate passes away.

Flying Slave Eagles aren’t as fickle as Red Cloud, who has a bunch of wives, whereas Flying Slaves are monogamous.

He wasn’t sure if the Golden Feathered Eagle was the same, but the Flying Slave Eagle certainly was.

If these two eagles truly paired up, they would undoubtedly stay together, and Yang Zhenshan wouldn’t be able to send Sky Cloud back to the Spirit Source Land.

Actually, Yang Zhenshan didn’t really mind giving away a Flying Slave Eagle; there were over a hundred Flying Slave Eagles now at the Spirit Source Land, all nurtured by Yu Qingyi over the years.

But this particular Flying Slave Eagle belonged to Yang Wanqi; she doted on it like a treasure every day, always wanting to ride it into the sky.

If he gave this Flying Slave Eagle away, Yang Wanqi would definitely be unwilling.

As for letting the Golden Feathered Eagle follow the Flying Slave Eagle, that was even less likely.

The Golden Feathered Eagle is a true mutant beast, a trained mutant beast with value far more significant than a dead one, worth dozens of times more at least.

”Well, Mr. Yang, do you think I can buy this eagle?”

As Yang Zhenshan suspected, Lan Peng revealed his intentions.

”General Lan, I’m really sorry, I cannot make this decision!” Yang Zhenshan said.

Lan Peng, unperturbed by the rejection, looked at the Flying Slave Eagle again and said, ”I’ll offer twenty spirit stones!”

”Mr. Yang, I’m not trying to force things, but Golden Feathers are monogamous; if they can bond together, they’ll be lifelong mates!”

”My Gold Feather has been mature for only a few years; I’ve been looking for a mate for it, and it’s rare for it to find a suitable companion itself, so I truly can’t give it up!”

Lan Peng was genuinely helpless, too. If he were to choose, he wouldn’t pick Yang Zhenshan’s Flying Slave Eagle because he could tell it wasn’t a mutant beast.

The Golden Feather at his home is a genuine mutant beast and outstanding among Innate Level mutant beasts, with combat power already close to a Heavenly Gang Stage martial artist. If it matured for a few more years, it might rival the peak of Heavenly Gang Stage martial artists.

If his Gold Feather had a mutant beast mate, most offspring would also be mutant beasts. But with the Flying Slave Eagle, most offspring wouldn’t be mutant beasts.

If he were choosing a mate for Gold Feather, he’d naturally select a mutant beast, but this decision was beyond him.

The Lu family’s only mutant beast is the Golden Feathered Eagle; he’s selected several female eagles within the Lu family for his Gold Feather, but none appealed to Gold Feather.

He feared if he separated these lovebirds, Gold Feather might never find a mate again.

Lan Peng felt very vexed; even his son hadn’t caused such concern, while Gold Feather was considerably more stubborn than his son. His son would obediently listen if he slapped him, but he couldn’t teach Gold Feather with a slap.

”This~~” Yang Zhenshan didn’t know what to say; what was happening?

”General Lan, may I take a few days to consider?”

Lan Peng nodded slightly, ”Sure, there’s no rush; I’ll visit Mr. Yang once I’ve finished my official business.”

Yang Zhenshan cupped his hands, ”Then I’ll take my leave for now!”

”Let’s go, Feiyun!”

Wang Lei and the others carried the large snake silently towards Lingxi Mountain.

Meanwhile, Feiyun and Gold Feather were bidding farewell reluctantly.

Coo~ Coo~

The two eagles chirped back and forth, with Feiyun glancing back repeatedly as it followed Yang Zhenshan.

Yang Zhenshan wryly shook his head!

You guys just met, right?

Weren’t you so scared and trembling just a while ago?

How did you suddenly develop such a deep bond?

Now I feel like the villain breaking up lovers.

And could you just fly? What’s with walking step by step like a big goose?

The Flying Slave Eagle didn’t fly, but the Golden Feathered Eagle took off, circling in the air, occasionally letting out cries.

Lan Peng seemed genuinely in a hurry, and eventually called the Golden Feathered Eagle away.

Only then did Yang Zhenshan breathe a sigh of relief.

”Did you forget about Qi’er!”

”If you leave with it, you’ll never see Qi’er again!”

”You traitorous guy, I’ll tell Qi’er when I get back!”

”Don’t be fooled by its impressive appearance; it’s just a playboy, and you’ll surely suffer if you follow it!”

Coo~

The Flying Slave Eagle chirped.

Yang Zhenshan lectured it while walking.

He deliberately slowed down, waiting for Wang Lei and the others to leave before sending this troublemaker back to the Spirit Source Land promptly.

Upon returning to Lingxi Mountain, Lv Hua was already waiting by the door.

”Family Head, just received news that the Lu family’s Red Flame Army has entered the mountain!” Lv Hua said.

”Red Flame Army?”

Lv Hua explained in detail, ”The Red Flame Army is the Lu family’s elite force; reportedly, soldiers in the Red Flame Army are martial artists practicing the Fire Spirit cultivation technique, each with a cultivation level above the Postnatal Fifth Layer!”
