Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1064: Chapter 732: Mutant Beast Serpent

Returning to Lingxi Mountain, Yang Zhenshan hadn’t even sat down when Yang Xiangheng came looking for him.

His expression was somewhat panicked, and he spoke hurriedly, ”Uncle Ancestor, something’s happened!”

”What happened?”

”Two children from the family are missing!”

”Children!” Yang Zhenshan was taken aback, ”If the children are missing, just go look for them. Why are you coming to me?”

”We’ve searched. We’ve searched the surrounding mountains, but we couldn’t find them. We found traces of a giant snake on East Mountain!” Yang Xiangheng’s face was somewhat pale.

”A giant snake! Are you saying the children were eaten by a snake?” Yang Zhenshan asked.

Yang Xiangheng nodded.

Yang Zhenshan frowned; a snake eating people wasn’t out of the question.

This is the Yunxiao Mountain Range, and although it’s on the edge of the range, it’s still the Yunxiao Mountain Range.

He had long heard that there were many mutant beasts in the Yunxiao Mountain Range but had never seen any.

If a snake suddenly appeared and ate the two kids, it wouldn’t be surprising.

”Come on, take me to have a look!”

Whether to find the children or to see the mutant beasts here, he had to take a trip to see for himself.

Subsequently, Yang Xiangheng led him to the mountaintop on the east.

This mountaintop was somewhat higher, covered in grass and vines. Without Spirit Land, few would tread here.

Even though the Yang family was only four or five miles away, they seldom ventured into this area.

When Yang Zhenshan arrived at the eastern mountain slope, Wang Lei was already waiting there with five or six young men.

”Family Head!”

The group hurried forward to greet Yang Zhenshan as soon as they saw him.

Yang Zhenshan stepped forward to examine the traces on the ground.

It was still January, and the weather was cold, with a thick layer of dry white weeds and fallen leaves covering the ground.

On the layer of fallen leaves, a winding track about two feet wide was clearly visible.

And judging by the traces, they were quite fresh, possibly left today.

”The traces extend all the way to the mountain over there. I fear it’s a mutant beast, so I didn’t bring anyone over!” Wang Lei said.

Mutant beasts all possess Innate Realm combat strength, and they have powerful bodies, making them daunting adversaries for Innate Martial Artists at the Qi Sea Stage.

Given Wang Lei’s strength, he may not be able to defeat a mutant beast.

And in this forest, which is the territory of mutant beasts, humans are at a disadvantage.

Gazing at the traces on the ground, Yang Zhenshan contemplated and said, ”You wait here for me!”

With that, he didn’t care about the reactions of the crowd and directly flew toward the northern woods.

Once he distanced himself from the others, Yang Zhenshan mentally summoned a large raptor that appeared before him, standing taller than him.

To deal with a snake, it’s naturally best to employ an eagle.

Screech~~

A loud eagle cry resounded, and the Flying Slave Eagle looked around the surroundings warily, seemingly frightened.

Indeed, it was quite a scare for the eagle, as it was just foraging in the forest when suddenly, its vision blurred, and it found itself in an unfamiliar place, giving it a shock.

”Don’t cry out!” Yang Zhenshan reached out to calm it.

This was Yang Wanqi’s Flying Slave Eagle, named Sky Cloud, the most formidable Flying Slave Eagle in the Spirit Source Land.

The fledgling eagle with mutant beast potential that Yu Qingyi was nurturing had not matured yet, and it couldn’t compare to Sky Cloud for now.

Although this Flying Slave Eagle couldn’t be counted as a mutant beast, its enormous size and formidable strength made it nearly comparable to one.

Upon seeing Yang Zhenshan, Sky Cloud immediately quieted down, fixating its eagle eyes on him.

Sky Cloud might not be as intelligent as Red Cloud, but it’s extremely clever, knowing who is the most fearsome and who is the most affectionate.

The most affectionate one was naturally Yang Wanqi, who often pampered it with delicious treats.

The most fearsome was obviously Yang Zhenshan. Yang Zhenshan had never hit it in the Spirit Source Land, but when it was a fledgling, Yang Zhenshan had smacked it just because it had flown around carelessly in the courtyard and crashed into him.

Actually, Yang Zhenshan was annoyed by them then, as Yu Qingyi had raised more than a dozen fledgling eagles in the courtyard, bouncing around like fleas, driving him nuts, so he cuffed them a few times.

Afterward, once these guys grew up, they actually sought revenge on Yang Zhenshan, but naturally, he wouldn’t condone their antics. If not for Yu Qingyi’s intervention, he might have thrown them into a pot and cooked them.

Ever since then, the Flying Slave Eagles shunned Yang Zhenshan like he was a ghost, avoiding him from a distance.

If they could not avoid him, they would stand frozen like statues in his presence.

”There is a big snake over there. Help me find it. You know what a big snake is, right? A snake this thick. Don’t provoke it, or it might eat you. Just come back and tell me after you find it!”

”Go on!”

Yang Zhenshan instructed while gesturing.

The Flying Slave Eagle certainly knew what a big snake was. It was one of their favorite foods.

Actually, they most liked eating fish, but as fish were scarce in the Spirit Source Land, they changed their diet to favor snakes and rodents there.

Upon receiving Yang Zhenshan’s command, Sky Cloud immediately spread its wings and soared into the sky, while Yang Zhenshan returned to the mountaintop where Wang Lei and Yang Xiangheng were waiting.

”Uncle Ancestor!”

At that moment, several more young men from the Yang family arrived.

Among them were Yang Xiangdong and Yang Xiangxi, whose sons were the two missing children.

Yang Xiangdong and Yang Xiangxi were Yang Zhenghe’s grandchildren, which made them Yang Xiangheng’s cousins.

Currently, the only useful members in the Lingxi Yang family were those of the ”Xiang” generation siblings.

At the moment, the two brothers were extremely anxious. Seeing Yang Zhenshan arrive, they hurried over with worried expressions.
