Divine Level Witch Doctor

Ying Chen tried to persuade him a few more times, but it was no use. Zhao Yuan was dead set on buying the villa.

Seeing this, Ying Chen could no longer dissuade him and could only agree to sell him the villa. However, in order to curry favor with Zhao Yuan—and also out of fear that Zhao Yuan would take his anger out on him if he suffered at the hands of the Evil Ghost—Ying Chen took the initiative and offered to lower the price.

Zhao Yuan certainly wasn’t one to turn down a chance to save money. In the end, the villa was sold for one Marrow Cleansing Pill plus ten million yuan. Compared to the initial price of fifty million, this was more than ten million lower.

Although he sold it for less money, Ying Chen wasn’t disappointed at all. On the contrary, he was delighted, his face beaming like a flower in full bloom.

Because he had obtained a Marrow Cleansing Pill, a method to dispel the Ghost Qi, and had also established a connection with Zhao Yuan.

In Ying Chen’s eyes, these things were far more important than money.

But the store manager and property consultants at the real estate agency didn’t know the inside story, so they couldn’t understand why Ying Chen was so happy despite selling for less, grinning like a fool...

For a moment, quite a few people couldn’t help but think, ’Does this Mr. Ying have a screw loose?’

Fortunately, although the price Ying Chen sold for was lower, the commission Zhao Yuan paid them hadn’t been reduced by a single cent.

According to the agreement, Zhao Yuan had to pay two percent of the property price as commission, which came out to one million.

After signing the sales contract, Zhao Yuan promptly transferred the payment for the house and the commission fee to the accounts of Ying Chen and the real estate agency, respectively.

Once he confirmed the commission had arrived in their account, the store manager’s face was all smiles.

With this huge deal closed, not only would he get a cut, but it would also boost his branch’s performance, putting them at the top of the rankings. Because of this, the manager looked at Mu Han with a much warmer smile. In his mind, Mu Han had become his lucky charm.

Mu Han was also thrilled. Of the one-million commission, she would get about three hundred thousand. To put that in perspective, her current monthly salary was only around two thousand. Earning three hundred thousand from the commission on a single deal—how could she not be excited?

Her colleagues were incredibly envious—all except for Tan Xiong.

He was dying of regret.

This huge deal was originally his, but he had pushed it onto Mu Han. He truly felt like he could die from regret.

With the transaction complete, the villa basically belonged to Zhao Yuan now. The only remaining tasks were to pay the various taxes and fees and to process the property deed.

Zhao Yuan had no time to handle these trivial matters, so he entrusted everything to the real estate agency, asking them to handle it on his behalf.

Mu Han promised, ”Don’t worry, Mr. Zhao. I’ll be sure to get everything settled for you as quickly as possible.”

Zhao Yuan smiled and said, ”Thank you.” He then raised a hand to the Bone Woman.

The Bone Woman understood immediately. She opened her handbag, took out a thick stack of cash, and placed it in front of Mu Han.

Judging by its thickness, the stack had to be at least fifty or sixty thousand, instantly drawing the eyes of many in the office.

”Mr. Zhao, what is the meaning of this?” Mu Han asked, confused.

Zhao Yuan said, ”This is for your trouble, for helping me pay the taxes and handle the property deed.”

Hearing this, not just Mu Han, but everyone in the entire real estate agency stared with their mouths agape, their faces filled with disbelief.

Fifty or sixty thousand just for running a few errands? Could he be any more generous?

After snapping out of it, Mu Han quickly waved her hands in refusal. ”Mr. Zhao, I can’t accept this money.”

”Why not?” Now it was Zhao Yuan’s turn to be surprised.

Mu Han said earnestly, ”Handling the tax payments and the property deed is part of my job. Besides, the commission you just paid already covers these services. I can’t take more of your money, especially not this much.”

”I said to take it, so take it. I never take back money I’ve given out!” Zhao Yuan’s words were incredibly cool and assertive, but inwardly, he was grimacing.

In truth, he hadn’t intended to give her that much money.

Zhao Yuan had originally intended for the Bone Woman to take out one or two thousand for the errand fee. He never imagined she would be so extravagant, pulling out fifty or sixty thousand instead.

Now that the money was out and the cool-guy act was on, Zhao Yuan couldn’t very well say, ’Oops, sorry, that’s too much,’ and take some of it back, could he?

That would be a huge loss of face!

Fortunately, fifty or sixty thousand was just a drop in the bucket for the current Zhao Yuan, so it wasn’t a painful loss.

Mu Han still wanted to refuse, but the store manager stepped forward and persuaded her, ”It’s a gesture of Mr. Zhao’s goodwill. Just accept it.”

”Well... alright. Thank you, Mr. Zhao! I’ll make sure everything is handled for you perfectly!” Mu Han hesitated for a moment before accepting the money, her voice filled with excitement.

”Call me when it’s done. I’ll have someone come pick it up.”

With their business concluded, Zhao Yuan stood up to leave, pulling Lin Xue along as he and the Bone Woman walked out of the real estate agency.

Since Zhao Yuan had left, Ying Chen naturally had no reason to stay either and followed them out immediately.

The moment they were all gone, the real estate agency erupted into a lively buzz.

Everyone crowded around Mu Han, some congratulating her, others clamoring for her to treat them to a meal.

”Mu Han, congratulations on closing such a huge deal! Good heavens, a fifty-million-yuan villa! I wouldn’t have even dared to dream of something like that before!”

”Isn’t that the truth? I’m considered a veteran employee, and the biggest deal I’ve ever closed was only for two or three million.”

”The most crucial part is, not only did Mu Han get a huge commission, but she also got a fifty- or sixty-thousand-yuan bonus from the client. That’s just unbelievable!”

”Tell me about it! How come I never meet a big spender like that? Mu Han, you have to treat us! Let some of your good luck rub off on us!”

Mu Han was still in a state of excitement. Hearing her colleagues, she agreed without hesitation, ”Of course, definitely! I’ll treat everyone to a huge dinner tonight. We won’t go home until we’re drunk!”

”Not tonight,” a colleague suddenly said.

Everyone froze, looking at him with questioning gazes, not understanding why he’d said that.

The colleague grinned and pointed at Tan Xiong, saying, ”Tonight’s big dinner has to be paid for by Tan Xiong. What do you say, Tan Xiong? A bet’s a bet. You’re not going to weasel out of it, are you?”

Seeing so many colleagues, and even the store manager, looking at him, Tan Xiong, though furious and annoyed, didn’t dare show it. He could only suck it up and pretend to be generous, saying, ”Don’t worry, I never go back on my word. Tonight’s dinner is on me!”

He practically spat out the last two words through gritted teeth. It was clear just how dejected and utterly frustrated he felt at that moment.

Not only did he not make a single cent, but he also had to spend money treating everyone... Fucking hell, could his luck get any worse?!
