Divine Level Witch Doctor

Tan Xiong stood there dumbly, his mind completely blank, unsure of what to do.

Mu Han noticed his state and quickly stood up. ”Brother Tan, Mr. Zhao is planning to buy a villa. The locations he’s chosen are all in the most expensive parts of the city. Why don’t you take this case? After all, Mr. Zhao was supposed to be your client in the first place...”

Tan Xiong was overjoyed, eager to take over for Mu Han immediately.

This wasn’t a rental, nor was it a purchase of a small, ordinary apartment. This was a villa—a villa in the city—and the price was undoubtedly astronomical. The commission from closing such a sale would be anything but small! Most importantly, if this deal went through, the performance bonus would be substantial. It might even be enough to get him a promotion!

”Oh, how could I?” Tan Xiong was grinning from ear to ear, his words a mere formality as he started walking toward Mu Han.

But just then, Zhao Yuan spoke up, shattering his wonderful dream. ”Miss Mu, I don’t want to switch agents.”

Mu Han was truly kind and tried to speak up for Tan Xiong. ”Mr. Zhao, Brother Tan is one of our top agents here. I’m sure he could provide you with even better service...”

Zhao Yuan cut her off. ”I said, I don’t want to switch agents.” He then turned his head, smiled at Tan Xiong, and said, ”I imagine Advisor Tan won’t mind, will he?”

”N-no... I don’t mind...” Hearing the word ’Advisor,’ Tan Xiong’s heart sank. He knew Zhao Yuan had seen his earlier dismissiveness, and that was why he refused to give him the case.

Tan Xiong left the reception room with a miserable look on his face and returned to the main office area.

The colleague he had been chatting with earlier had been secretly watching the drama unfold and now knew about the major reversal. He chuckled and teased, ”So? Didn’t I tell you that you misjudged him? Mu Han is the lucky one, stumbling upon a huge deal. It seems kind people really do get good luck in the end.”

Tan Xiong snorted, still trying to sound tough. ”What good luck? He hasn’t even seen a single house yet. Maybe she’ll run her legs off and talk herself hoarse, only for him to leave in a huff at the end.”

That sort of thing happened all the time; they had all experienced it more than once. But his colleague said, ”You know, Tan Xiong, I’m starting to think you’re some kind of reverse jinx today. The more you say Mu Han’s deal is going to fall through, the more I feel like she’s going to close it.”

”You want to make a bet on it?” Tan Xiong said.

”Bet what?” his colleague asked.

Tan Xiong said, ”If Mu Han doesn’t close this deal, you treat. If she does, I’ll be the one to pay!”

”You’re on!” The colleague took him up on the challenge.

Meanwhile, in the reception room, Mu Han had finally found the information on several detached villas that met Zhao Yuan’s requirements and handed it to him.

Zhao Yuan glanced over the files, eliminated a few that were a bit too far from his desired locations, then pointed to the remaining three and asked, ”These three, can we go see them in person?”

Mu Han replied, ”Yes, we can. The owners of these three villas have left the keys with our company, so we can go view them anytime.”

”Good. Let’s go now,” Zhao Yuan said, standing up.

Mu Han also stood up and said, ”I’ll go contact my colleagues who are in charge of preparing these three villas.”

She then walked briskly into the work area.

Zhao Yuan turned his head and instructed the Bone Woman, ”Go bring the car around.”

”Yes!” the Bone Woman replied, then turned and walked out of the real estate agency.

After about ten minutes, Mu Han returned to Zhao Yuan and said, ”Mr. Zhao, I’ve contacted my colleagues. They’ll be waiting for us in the villas, so we can head out now.”

Zhao Yuan nodded. ”Let’s go.”

Outside the real estate agency, Mu Han was about to hail a taxi when Zhao Yuan stopped her with a smile. ”No need for a taxi. My secretary has already gone to get the car.”

”Oh, so that young lady from before is your secretary,” Mu Han said in surprise. Although she had heard the Bone Woman call Zhao Yuan ’Boss’ earlier, she had assumed she was at least a high-level executive or something similar. She never imagined she was just a secretary.

’Using someone so exceptional as a secretary... isn’t that a bit too extravagant?’

Mu Han couldn’t help but be curious about Zhao Yuan’s identity, but she was a professional. Curious as she was, she wouldn’t ask questions she wasn’t supposed to ask.

Soon, the Bone Woman pulled up in front of them, driving a Mercedes-Benz G55 SUV.

Zhao Yuan acted like a gentleman, opening the car door for Mu Han. ”Miss Mu, please get in,” he said with a smile.

”Thank you,” Mu Han said quickly, a little embarrassed.

After Zhao Yuan got in, the Bone Woman started the car and drove toward the address of the first villa.

「Forty-some minutes later」

Zhao Yuan had finished viewing two villas, but he wasn’t particularly satisfied with either of them.

Although both villas were located in areas he had calculated to have good feng shui, they were situated in the worst possible spots within those areas.

Mu Han glanced at the information on her tablet and said, ”Mr. Zhao, there’s one more villa. Would you like to see it? It’s located next to Du Fu’s Cottage and Huanhua Creek Park. The environment is very tranquil, but it’s a bit large, and the price is quite high...”

Zhao Yuan sighed. ”Let’s go take a look. I hope this last one doesn’t disappoint me. Otherwise, I’ll just have to make do and pick a subpar house.”

Hearing this, Mu Han couldn’t help but stick her tongue out slightly, inwardly shocked. ’These two villas, whether in terms of location, environment, or layout, are all fantastic. How did they become ”subpar houses” in Mr. Zhao’s book? His standards are way too high, aren’t they?’

For a moment, she felt a mountain of pressure.

「Twenty-some minutes later」

The Bone Woman drove into the residential community where the last villa was located—Cao Tang Peninsula.

The moment they entered the community, Zhao Yuan’s eyes lit up.

He had only observed it from the outside before and couldn’t see it very clearly. But once inside, he discovered that not only did this place have good feng shui, it was also filled with a dense Scholarly Qi!

’This Scholarly Qi is spreading over from the nearby Du Fu’s Cottage.’ Zhao Yuan came to this conclusion after observing his surroundings.

Du Fu’s Cottage was where the Poetry Saint had lived after moving to the Shu Region to escape the An Lushan Rebellion. For over a thousand years, countless scholars and poets had come here to pay homage to the Poetry Saint, commemorate the sages of the past, drink wine, and compose poetry. This had kept the Scholarly Qi of this place at an incredibly high level, and the Scholarly Qi had, in turn, transformed this area into a Blessed Land!

Although it couldn’t compare to the famous Seventy-Two Blessed Lands, it was countless times better than any ordinary auspicious feng shui location!

Scholarly Qi could not only enhance a person’s literary fortune, allowing one to progress rapidly when studying, but the righteous and harmonious nature within the Confucian Qi would also minimize the risk of any mishaps that might occur during Cultivation! It could even allow one to forge the Crimson Heart and Literary Courage, something only a Cultivator of the Confucian Family could possess!

Even though he hadn’t seen the villa itself, Zhao Yuan had already made up his mind. This was the one!
