Divine Level Witch Doctor

The Bone Woman also sensed someone secretly spying on them. Her expression instantly darkened. She leaned close to Zhao Yuan’s ear and said, ”Master, I’ll go check it out.”

Zhao Yuan nodded. ”Go on.”

The Bone Woman immediately turned and strode out of the villa.

Mu Han, having just finished her phone call, happened to see this and asked in confusion, ”Mr. Zhao, why did Sister Bai leave?”

”She’s very interested in the surrounding area and went out for a walk.” Zhao Yuan made up an excuse. Without giving Mu Han time to think, he changed the subject. ”Did you get in touch with the homeowner? What did he say?”

Mu Han replied, ”He said it’s too late today. If you’re free tomorrow, he’ll come to the agency’s office around ten in the morning to sign the sales contract with you.”

Zhao Yuan nodded. ”Okay, tomorrow morning it is.” He then asked, ”Does your agency have the detailed architectural blueprints for this villa? I want to give them to an interior designer to work on a renovation plan.”

Mu Han answered, ”Yes, we do. Give me your email address, and I’ll send them to you.”

A few seconds after Zhao Yuan recited his email address, the mail app on his phone chimed, indicating a new email had arrived.

Just then, the Bone Woman, who had gone out to investigate, returned. Seeing Mu Han standing next to Zhao Yuan, she said nothing, only shaking her head slightly.

Zhao Yuan understood at a glance. The Bone Woman must have failed to track down the snooper. Without letting anything show on his face, he said to Mu Han and her colleague, ”Let’s go.”

Mu Han and her colleague acknowledged him and led them out of the villa, heading toward the district’s main gate.

Zhao Yuan deliberately slowed his pace to put some distance between them, and the Bone Woman quickly came to his side.

”What’s the situation?” Zhao Yuan asked in a low voice.

The Bone Woman replied softly, ”The snooper was very cunning and alert. By the time I gave chase, they had already vanished. But I can say for certain that it’s highly likely they’re a resident of this district.”

Zhao Yuan nodded, agreeing with the Bone Woman’s speculation.

With his and the Bone Woman’s current power, it would be impossible for someone to follow them without them noticing. Therefore, the snooper probably hadn’t been tailing them the whole way; it was almost certain they were someone from the district.

Moreover, they were very likely a Cultivator as well. Otherwise, they couldn’t have evaded the Bone Woman’s search!

Zhao Yuan wasn’t particularly surprised by this.

The number of Cultivators in the world today was indeed small, but Rongcheng City was, after all, a major city with a permanent population in the tens of millions. With such a large population base, it was inevitable that the number of Cultivators wouldn’t be low. Besides, Cao Tang Peninsula District itself was one of the places in Rongcheng City with the best feng shui. It wasn’t strange at all for other Cultivators to live here.

”Let’s hope they’re a good neighbor,” Zhao Yuan said softly.

He didn’t mind having a Cultivator for a neighbor, as he had plenty of ways to turn this villa into an impregnable fortress. However, judging by this neighbor’s penchant for spying on others, they were most likely some creep with a twisted sense of fun.

After leaving Cao Tang Peninsula District, Zhao Yuan invited Mu Han and her colleague into his car and dropped them off at their workplace. Only then did he instruct the Bone Woman to find a hotel near the real estate agency.

He didn’t plan on going back to his rental apartment, so he would just have to make do with a hotel for the night.

After checking into the hotel and having dinner, Zhao Yuan looked up Liu Xiaoya’s phone number.

Zhao Yuan was very satisfied with this designer.

Since their collaboration on the design for the traditional Chinese medicine cultivation base had gone so well, Zhao Yuan decided to entrust the villa’s renovation to her as well, following the principle that it was better to work with a familiar face.

At that moment, Liu Xiaoya was in her design studio, sighing to her friend.

Before the New Year, she had resigned from her previous design firm and partnered with her friend to open this studio, handling both design and renovation work.

She had decided to strike out on her own for two reasons. First, she was still young and had entrepreneurial dreams. Second, the boss at her former company frequently harassed his attractive female employees. When she could no longer tolerate it, she slapped him across the face, quit in a rage, and then told his wife all about his sordid deeds.

But because of this, her former boss came to hate her. He made a vicious threat, vowing to make it impossible for her to survive in the interior design industry.

At first, Liu Xiaoya didn’t take her boss’s threat seriously.

In her mind, she earned a living with her skills; there was no way her former boss could hold her back. But after running the studio for a while, Liu Xiaoya realized just how naive she had been.

Getting someone to help you is a difficult thing. But getting someone to ruin your business is incredibly easy!

During this time, although Liu Xiaoya had contacted many potential clients, they were either poached by her old company or the deals were sabotaged through various schemes. To this day, she hadn’t managed to close a single deal.

Seeing Liu Xiaoya so dejected, her friend comforted her, ”It’s okay, Xiaoya. Your talent is undeniable. No matter how that shameless boss slanders you or pulls dirty tricks, he can only suppress us for a short time. As long as we get one chance, you’re bound to take off like a rocket!”

”A chance?” Liu Xiaoya sighed. ”What I’m afraid of is that we’ll never get one!”

Just then, her phone rang.

After seeing the name on the caller ID, Liu Xiaoya froze for a moment, then quickly composed herself and answered the phone. ”Hello, Mr. Zhao. Did you run into any problems during construction? Do you need me to revise the design plan?”

Zhao Yuan let out a laugh. ”Miss Liu, why would you ask that? Don’t you have confidence in your own design?”

Liu Xiaoya asked, confused, ”Then why are you calling me, Mr. Zhao?”

Zhao Yuan said, ”Here’s the thing. I’m planning to buy a villa in Cao Tang Peninsula District, and I’d like to hire you to do the interior design. Also, if you know any high-quality renovation teams, you could introduce me. I’d like to hand the renovation work over to them.”

On the other end of the line, Liu Xiaoya’s jaw dropped.

Just moments ago, she was saying she was afraid an opportunity would never come, and now one had just knocked on her door!

Cao Tang Peninsula District was one of the most high-end residential areas in Rongcheng City! If she could land this CASE and do it well, her new studio would make a name for itself in one fell swoop! Then, even if her former boss still tried to suppress her, he wouldn’t be able to hold her down!

Liu Xiaoya took a deep breath to calm herself, then said, ”Thank you for your trust, Mr. Zhao. I was wondering if you could send me the architectural blueprints so I can start preparing some design proposals for you?”
