Divine Level Witch Doctor

Meanwhile, in an internet cafe near University City.

The young man who had run into Zhao Yuan and the Bone Woman at his relative’s house that morning was now sitting in front of a computer, his fingers flying across the keyboard with a CLACK CLACK CLACK.

A young man sitting across from him looked up in surprise and asked curiously, ”Du Zheng, what game are you playing? Your hands are moving like crazy.”

”Just play your League of Legends and don’t bother me. I’m busy,” the man named Du Zheng said without looking up.

He wasn’t playing a game at all. He was writing a forum post.

Ever since he thought he’d witnessed Zhao Yuan’s ”affair,” he had launched an investigation into his own aunt and uncle, as well as their neighbors, gathering a pile of so-called intelligence.

What Du Zheng was doing now was exposing all of Zhao Yuan’s ”dirt.” He wanted everyone to know that Zhao Yuan was just a scumbag who played with women’s feelings and didn’t deserve to be called a ”hero” at all!

As Du Zheng wrote the post, he muttered to himself, ’Today, I’m going to tear off your phony facade and let everyone know what a filthy scumbag you really are! I’m sure that once Lin Xue sees this information, she’ll cut all ties with you. Then, I can seize the opportunity, appear when she’s at her most heartbroken, and offer her warmth and encouragement. Haha, Lin Xue will definitely be moved by me and end up in my arms!’

Du Zheng’s face twisted into a crooked grin as he fantasized about winning Lin Xue over.

Finally, he finished writing the post. After copying the text, he logged into the West Hua Medical University forums, gave it the title ”Huge Exposé: The Hero Zhao Yuan Is Actually a Scumbag Who Plays with Women!”, and published it.

’This post of mine is definitely going to cause a huge sensation!’ Du Zheng’s lips curled into a smug smile. ’Zhao Yuan, oh, Zhao Yuan, just you wait. You’re about to be condemned by everyone and flamed to death by the masses, hahahaha!’

Just a few seconds after publishing the post, Du Zheng eagerly hit the refresh button.

And it had to be said, his title was indeed quite eye-catching on the West Hua Medical University forums. He refreshed the page and saw that there were already several replies.

’Haha, people are already jumping in to curse out Zhao Yuan!’

Du Zheng chuckled and picked up the drink on his desk. He took a sip and scrolled down with his mouse, wanting to see how everyone was flaming Zhao Yuan so he could laugh along with them.

But when he saw the content of the replies, his expression instantly darkened. He was so agitated that he even inhaled his drink, choking horribly. Only after a fit of violent coughing did the discomfort subside a little.

The replies under his post were indeed full of curses, but they weren’t aimed at Zhao Yuan. They were aimed at him.

”Idiot OP!”

”The hell? What kind of moron dares to sling mud at our classmate Zhao Yuan? Do you have a death wish?”

”Slandering Zhao Yuan? Why don’t you just explode on the spot?”

”My apologies, I’m the OP’s father. It’s all my fault. I should have shot my load in a septic tank back in the day.”

Looking at these replies—some of them direct, vicious attacks, others more creatively insulting—Du Zheng was so angry he nearly smashed the computer.

In the end, he had to take several deep breaths to calm his seething frustration.

Du Zheng comforted himself, ’Calm down. I need to calm down. These people must have just clicked on the thread and started flaming without even reading the post. There’s no need to argue with them. Once they read the content, they’ll definitely admit they were wrong and turn on Zhao Yuan instead!’

Figuring it would take people time to read the post, he opened a video streaming site and put on his favorite variety show. But today, he couldn’t get into the show at all, even though it was one that could usually make him laugh from beginning to end.

His mind just wouldn’t quiet down.

He couldn’t stop thinking about his post.

Finally, after an agonizing five minutes, Du Zheng figured people must have finished reading his post by now. He quickly switched back to the still-open browser tab, hit refresh, and started reading from the bottom up.

He believed the first few replies were surely from people who had flamed him without reading. Only the later replies would be reliable and rational.

But...

When he saw some of the latest replies at the end of the thread, he was once again furious.

’The hell, are these guys braindead? They finished my post and they’re still flaming me! They’re even saying the content is all made up and fake! Can’t these idiots use their brains? My post is well-reasoned and evidence-based! It couldn’t be more real, but they still don’t believe it. They actually suspect it’s fabricated...’

Du Zheng was trembling with rage. With nowhere to vent his anger, he took it all out on the keyboard, slamming his hands on it with a loud BANG! BANG!

This displeased the internet cafe owner, who shouted, ”What do you think you’re doing? Trying to smash my computer? I’m telling you, if you break it, you’ll pay for it in full!”

Hearing this, Du Zheng quickly stopped banging on the keyboard.

No matter how angry he was, he couldn’t afford to mess with money.

He thought for a moment and decided to reply and declare war on these brain-dead Zhao Yuan fans. However, just as he finished typing his reply and hit the confirm button, he was notified that the post no longer existed.

”What’s going on?” Du Zheng froze, stunned.

Then he saw a system notification. He clicked on it and saw a message informing him that his post had been deleted. The reason was also listed: ”Mindless slander. You made up a bunch of baseless accusations and didn’t even have a single photo or video to back it up. You want to slander Zhao Yuan like that? That’s just unprofessional. Who else would we delete but you?”

’No pictures or video?’ Du Zheng finally understood why no one had believed his post and why it had been deleted.

That was right. His post was all text, with no photos or videos as proof. Of course no one would believe him!

”I should have taken photos and videos this morning! What a blunder!” Du Zheng smacked his forehead, filled with regret.

Then, he consoled himself again, ’It’s fine. I already know where Zhao Yuan is hiding his mistress. From now on, I’ll just stake the place out. There’s no way I won’t get photos and videos! I’d like to see what kind of reaction you brain-dead fans have when I present irrefutable evidence! Hmph, hmph, hmph!’

His fighting spirit rekindled, Du Zheng prepared to make a new post telling everyone that he would have photos and videos to prove his words in the near future.

But when he finished writing the post and clicked ”publish,” he was informed that his account had been banned.

”The hell!” Du Zheng couldn’t take it anymore. He slammed his fist on the computer desk and started yelling furiously, ”They actually banned my account! Are you f*cking kidding me? You’re aiding and abetting a villain, you know that?!”
