Divine Level Witch Doctor

After some hesitation, Lu Qing decided to call Zhao Yuan.

At that moment, Zhao Yuan had already returned to his dorm. He and the White Cat were guiding Liu Zhu, Wang Rongfeng, and Wu Yan in their practice of the Four Saints Technique.

After several days of practice, the three had completely mastered the key movements of the Four Saints Technique and rarely made mistakes. Moreover, having seen the results of their training, they were all extremely motivated. No matter how difficult or painful it was, they would grit their teeth and persevere to the end.

Hearing his phone ring, Zhao Yuan took it out. He was a little puzzled to see the caller was Lu Qing. He turned to his three brothers and said, ”Keep practicing hard, don’t slack off. I’m stepping out to take a call.” He then patted the White Cat’s head and instructed, ”Keep an eye on them. If any of their movements aren’t up to standard, correct them immediately!”

The White Cat raised a small, furry paw and meowed twice, seeming very enthusiastic about its role as a teacher. In contrast, the expressions of Liu Zhu, Wang Rongfeng, and Wu Yan all changed at once.

Over the past few days, they had been on the receiving end of the White Cat’s claws more than a few times and had already developed a healthy fear of the little creature.

Walking out of the dorm and into the hallway, Zhao Yuan pressed the answer key. ”Officer Lu, what’s up? Is something wrong?”

Lu Qing still found it a bit difficult to ask, saying hesitantly, ”Zhao Yuan, I was just wondering... could you give me some more of that medicine?”

Zhao Yuan smiled. ”Of course. In a couple of days, I’ll give you the rest of the batch to make a full two-month supply. That’ll be more than enough to last until Uncle Lu’s leg is fully healed.”

He thought Lu Qing was asking about the medicine because she was afraid there wouldn’t be enough for Father Lu.

Seeing that Zhao Yuan had misunderstood, Lu Qing quickly clarified, ”No, that’s not it. What I mean is, after my dad’s leg has healed, can you continue to give me this medicine?”

Zhao Yuan paused, taken aback. ”Why?”

Lu Qing didn’t hide anything. She described her reaction after using the Blood Circulation Soup and then said, ”The medicine you gave me has an astonishing effect! If I can keep using it long-term, my strength will definitely break through Muscle Strengthening and enter the Marrow Cleansing realm, and I’ll become a top-tier expert! Of course, I absolutely won’t take your medicine for free. I just discussed it with my dad. As long as you’re willing to keep supplying me, I’ll teach you the Jade Ring Step and Mandarin Duck Leg! It’s a secret Martial Skill passed down in my Lu Family, and it’s incredibly powerful...”

After hearing her out, Zhao Yuan finally understood the whole story.

He couldn’t help but smile.

’The Blood Circulation Soup was a formula invented by Wu Peng, after all,’ he thought. ’It’s only natural that it would shock Lu Qing and Father Lu!’

Continuing to supply Lu Qing with the Blood Circulation Soup powder wouldn’t be much trouble. Besides, he was already planning to use it to aid Liu Zhu, Wang Rongfeng, and Wu Yan in their Cultivation, so he could just prepare a larger batch.

From their recent interactions, Zhao Yuan could tell that Lu Qing was a good police officer. Plus, she worked a high-risk job like anti-narcotics. Giving her the Blood Circulation Soup to help her improve her strength would also increase her ability to handle danger.

Besides, he and Lu Qing were friends now. Zhao Yuan would never stand by and do nothing when a friend needed help. And on top of all that, there was the Jade Ring Step and Mandarin Duck Leg Martial Skill!

Although Zhao Yuan had obtained the Four Saints Technique and the Marrow Washing Technique from Wu Peng’s legacy, both were Body Refining Techniques, not Martial Skills. The moves in the Four Saints Technique could be used in a fight in a pinch, but they were lacking compared to a true Martial Skill. If he could learn a real Martial Skill, unleashing it with his current physical conditioning would be absolutely devastating!

So, he interrupted Lu Qing’s praise of her family’s technique and said, ”Alright, you don’t have to say any more. I agree.”

Hearing the first half of his sentence, Lu Qing’s heart sank. She thought he was about to refuse and sighed, ”I know my request is a bit much, I’m really sorry... Huh? Wait, what did you just say?” Her tone suddenly shot up several octaves.

Zhao Yuan replied, ”I said, I agree. I can provide you with a continuous supply of Blood Circulation Soup.”

”R-Really?” Lu Qing exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief.

”Of course it’s real,” Zhao Yuan said with a smile.

”That’s great! That’s really, really great! Thank you, thank you so much!” A cheer erupted from the other end of the line, so loud that Zhao Yuan had to hold the phone away from his ear.

After the initial surprise and joy, Lu Qing said eagerly, ”Where are you? I’ll come find you right now and teach you the Jade Ring Step and Mandarin Duck Leg!” She wanted to seal the deal immediately. Once Zhao Yuan had learned her family’s secret technique, it would be harder for him to back out.

Zhao Yuan was also curious to see what a Martial Skill looked like, so he said, ”I’m at West Hua Medical University. Come on over. Call me when you get here.”

Twenty minutes later, Zhao Yuan’s phone rang again. Lu Qing had arrived at West Hua Medical University. He immediately left his dorm and met her at the school gate. The two didn’t go anywhere else, simply finding a quiet, secluded corner on campus to begin the lesson.

Lu Qing first performed the Jade Ring Step and Mandarin Duck Leg once through, then broke down the movements, slowing down to explain them to Zhao Yuan move by move.

Zhao Yuan appeared to be listening intently, but in reality, his attention was focused on the Information Leaf.

Because as soon as Lu Qing had demonstrated the Jade Ring Step and Mandarin Duck Leg, detailed information on the technique had appeared on the Information Leaf.

It contained the training method for every single move, key points, and even diagrams of the stances—all more detailed than Lu Qing’s explanation! Furthermore, there were slight differences in a few places regarding the techniques for exerting force. Zhao Yuan mulled it over and realized that the force-exertion techniques recorded on the Information Leaf were far more sophisticated than what Lu Qing had described, and far more powerful!

But the biggest difference was that the Martial Skill recorded on the Information Leaf had thirty-two moves, while the version Lu Qing taught only had twenty.

Therefore, after Lu Qing finished her explanation, Zhao Yuan asked, ”Officer Lu, this Martial Skill isn’t complete, is it?”

Lu Qing looked a little embarrassed and explained, ”To be honest with you, this Martial Skill was originally supposed to have thirty-two moves. Unfortunately, twelve of them have been lost to time, leaving only twenty. But even as an incomplete Martial Skill, it’s still very powerful.”

”I thought I sensed some issues with the technique’s cohesiveness. Alright then, let me study it for a while. Maybe one day I’ll be able to figure out the twelve missing moves,” Zhao Yuan said with a smile, not telling Lu Qing that he had already mastered the complete Jade Ring Step and Mandarin Duck Leg.

Previously, in Jing City, in order to defeat the arrogant Kobayashi Haruo, Zhao Yuan had been forced to teach the complete Spiritual Snake Nine Probing Needle Technique to He Chengwei. This had brought him a lot of trouble. Just two days ago, He Chengwei had called, beating around the bush to ask where on earth he had learned the Spiritual Snake Nine Probing Needle Technique.

Zhao Yuan had no desire for a repeat of that incident. Even if he were to teach Lu Qing the complete Jade Ring Step and Mandarin Duck Leg, it couldn’t be now. There had to be a period of ”research and completion” first.
